DONT WORK WITH LIZ. It really DOES matter who you work with. We recently purchased a living room set and had a great experience so we went back for a light. After finding a light we liked we went to check out. While waiting, we observed an employee, "Liz" being very rude to her co-workers. A newer team member was trying to ask for assistance and she walked away from him mid-conversation, completely ignoring him. Another worker also noticed this and commented, how nice it is to be speaking with someone and they walk away mid-sentence. At that point I was very happy we didnt have to deal with her, however our sales associate was also new and had to ask her for help. We were trying to put the light on our new Ashley card. She tells us "everyone knows you cant put a purchase under $299.00 on finance". We responded with "oh, we werent aware of this." She says very snotty "Well thats the policy, I didnt make it!" and before we could respond, she walks away. I politely say "ah, maam", she keeps trying to walk away.... and then I say "maybe at your next team meeting you should remind your workers of this policy, as on our previous purchase we dont recall being told this" She says again, "everybody knows this!". I had to laugh a little under my breath because our new sales guy trying to check us out obviously didnt know this otherwise he wouldnt have tried to add it to our card. I truly felt bad for the newbies who had to work all day with this "LIZ". I realize she doesnt like her co-workers, her job or the customers, I wonder WHY management would tolerate this. Regardless, we quickly paid without our Ashley card and tried to run out of the store . Needless to say, we probably wont be buying anything else from Ashley anytime soon.

My overall experience here was horrible. The initial salesperson was not bad but form there everything went down hill. I had requested it to be delivered and when the delivery crew showed up they did not have a single clue what they were doing. They initially brought a bunch of furniture that we didnt order outside our door. From there the sectional we ordered was the next piece. The delivery men would speak in a different language to each other when we were trying to communicate with them. They then began to say how the furniture wouldnt fit into the apartment. Keep in mind that the delivery men didnt measure it or try to see if it would fit. Therefore we had to return it because they were adamant it wouldnt fit. The one "knowledgeable" delivery man estimated the piece to be 11 ft long in reality it was 8.5 ft long. At this point we were without furniture. I then tried to contact the manager to get refunded the delivery fee and have it brought back out by a different crew at their expense ($89) which is nothing considering we had ordered a $3500 couch. She refused and her only response was they were knowledgeable which they werent. I ended up returning the couch because I didnt have a way to transport it. I measured everything and it would fit. Why would I buy a couch that wouldnt fit?? OVERALL, THE MANAGER TRIED TO MAKE ME FEEL STUPID, THE DELIVERYMEN WERE NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE AND VERY RUDE. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

We recently purchased a new mattress and mattress protector. It is a subzero RTP 650. We were told that it was designed to protect our mattress as well as regulate body temp while asleep so you sleep cooler. It was delivered with our Mattress on Monday and so we have slept on it twice now and it has been horrible. We thought it was a fluke the first night and tried it again last night and it was worse than we thought. It is cold to the touch at first and nothing but tossing from being so hot, even though it is 63 in our house. My wife and I have both had a miserable 2 nights sleep on our brand new bed. It is still in new condition so we called the store this morning wanting to return it like the sales lady said we could within 7 days if we didnt like it. We spoke to the saleswoman we worked with who is now saying to "give it time" and we needed to "get used to it" which is rediculous and out of line. She said this about 4 times which made us more mad with each passing moment. She also informed us we could not return it now and that there was not a supervisor we could talk to until Saturday (which is conveniently a day after our 7 day return period) It is mind boggling how sucky their customer service is when it comes to returns or exchanges, even though we were told differently when we were handing over money last week.

I recently went to Furniture Mart because I was looking for a very specific sized sofa. There were several sales people available when I walked in and they acknowledged me and gave me my space while I looked through the store. I was (happily) able to find a sofa that I liked and was the right size! The sales person, Derek, was nearby and spent several minutes talking to me about the piece, a warranty, delivery options, etc even though I let him know I would have to return to buy the piece. When I went back a week later and asked for Derek I was told he was out sick, I worked with Liz to purchase the sofa and an additional chair. She was friendly and efficient. I completed my purchase and left the store happy with both interactions and my purchase. Several days later I received a post card from Derek thanking me for asking for him when I returned to make my purchase, it was a very nice touch and gesture. I absolutely recommend Derek, Liz and Furniture Mart.

My experience at Ashley was awesome! My boyfriend and I just recently bought are first home. Which we obviously needed to fill! Everyone at Ashley was very respectful. But if you ever go to Ashley furniture in elk river. MAKE sure , you ask for Tony! Tony was a awesome help with directing us around to look at different couches, chairs, clocks etc.. the best part about all of it was he was never to pushy or annoying. Some furniture stores you go to the sale reps just drive you insane. My boyfriend and I also bought this giant eat sign for are kitchen! When bought this sign it was at another store about an hour and a half away. Well tony being as awesome as he is, drove all the way there just to get are sign!! Moral of story. If you go to Ashley, make sure you go to tony! Hes a rock star.

Weve purchased several items from the Elk River store over the past few years and have been very happy with the service and quality of items. Our last experience however was the best by far. We (not Ashley) messed up on the size of a sectional that we couldnt get down into our basement. Despite being a special order item, Liz went above and beyond by helping us rectify our mistake, and we were able to return and reorder the piece for a reasonable fee. Also, knowing our daughter had an upcoming birthday sleepover, she called us before the order shipped and gave us the option of picking it up sooner at another store in the area vs waiting until the next shipment to Elk River. Great customer service - we will continue to shop here and highly recommend them!
