Purchased a couch, sofa, and chair set for $1250 and arrived on time and I was very happy with them. I realized on day 3 that there was a rip on the seam of a couch cushion. They said when I purchased them that if there is any flaws found within the first year that they would either fix it, replace that part, or replace the whole couch. I called for a new couch cushion cover and they gave me the number to order a new one. I did and they said itd be 2 weeks. Ok. 2 weeks go by and I call and they said, "We apologize, but it looks like it hasnt shipped, but is this week." I knew I only had 30 days to return, but I wasnt going to over a couch cushion that was on its way. 2 more weeks go by (Im past the 30 days) and I call they said they dont have an order in for me to get one. I call the store and the manager said, "Maybe you should have filed a complaint with the shipping department. I cant do anything for you. You cant return since its past 30 days." Had I known the issues and incompetence this store had I would never have purchased from them. I called the district manager for Slumberland and he had me switch out my cushion for a floor one and apologized. This is the only reason I gave them a 2 star. Also, 2 months after I should have received my cushion cover, they call to verify it arrived. No, no it did not. -.- Ill never shop at Slumberland again, Homemakers it is!

Purchased a dual power recliner 14 months ago and also purchased the Furniture Protection Plan that Slumberland was selling. Now 14 months later, we are having an issue with the finish on the leather flaking away. Called the store and they directed us to the Furniture Protection Plan company. After much discussion, they determined that the flaking was a manufacturing flaw and therefore would not be covered as manufacturing flaws are not covered under the protection plan. (Exclusions that were supposedly provided to us by Slumberland at the time we purchased the protection plan was purchased - It was not - when I asked the Store manager about this disclosure or exclusions, he told me that it wasnt their stores responsibility to get those to us, but rather should have been mailed to us by the Furniture Protection Plan Company a few weeks after the sale). They suggestion that I contact the store again and have them repair it as a manufacturing flaw. Called store only the be told that they would not stand behind the furniture as it was two months beyond the "Manufacturers warrantee" The store manager refused to stand behind the product they sold, even though they had failed to provide us with the Furniture Protection Plan Exclusions. I recommend keeping as far away from this store as possible for your furniture purchases.

Salesman was amazing however misquoted me information on a tempurpedic. Also my 2 nightstands were broken upon arrival and I had to wait another week for a repair tech. Then they sent only 1 nightstand. I was very upset that I would have to wait another 1 to 2 weeks for a correction so based on my 30 day warranty I asked that they take it all back. Mgr of Ankeny location was very rude stating that there were a few things I need to get over so we can work this out also. I noted that this is the 3rd chance Ive given and with me spending 10k+ I wasnt going to put up with this or his attitude. He stated he wasnt returning anything despite my contract. Spoke to regional mgr. after that and he refunded everything but told me the matress, bases, pillows and covers for these were non refundable. I stated I was misquoted information yet he still will not return it all. He supposedly has refunded everything but is still sticking me with 3k in bed bases that I cannot use since their beds do not have the options I need. Way to screw your customers over and make them purchase through you. Wont happen again!!!

I had a terrible experience with the Slumberland in Ankeny, Iowa. Where to start? We ordered a new mattress, a pillow, and a bed frame. We asked for it to be delivered 2 weeks out. They were unable to deliver the bed frame at that time. Slumberland tried to charge us an extra fee even though they were the ones unable to work with us. Then they tried to tell us that we had to call and set something up, instead of them calling us to set up a delivery. When they finally came to deliver it, only 2 of the 3 pieces had been shipped from the warehouse. The delivery man told us it could be shipped 3 days from then. That day rolled around and they gave us about 20 minutes notice that they would actually be coming. When the delivery men arrived, they worked quickly and were very nice, but they reeked of cigarette smoke and didnt even clean up all of the packing material. We finally have everything we ordered 5 weeks later. I am very unhappy with our experience.

Service at the location in Ankeny was never an issue, everyone was very pleasant. The problem was they didnt take down sale-stickers, tried to have me order a $125.00 frame when I didnt need it (one came with the bed I picked out) and overcharged me $100 on top of it all. When I caught the mistake, it was fixed. Yet somehow, after driving to the warehouse to pick up the bed, I realized they shipped the wrong one. The salesman next door to the warehouse was beyond rude when I asked him where pick up was at. And the desk-receptionist at the warehouse was almost just as bad. I was so tired of their games, I just kept the bed, anyway. I expect better from a furniture store like Slumberland and I was really hoping to buy several other pieces from them. I dont see that happening now and do not recommend the store.

Initially the salesperson was very helpful and I ordered over 3,500 worth of furniture. I took the day off to wait for my furniture and when it the movers they contracted damaged the leg of the 2,000 Leather sectional I bought. Dropped it over the railing in the grass etc. Once in my house I noticed some damages like it had a burn in it. Called the store and spoke to the Assistant Manager and all they wanted was for me to take possession of damaged furniture. Needless to say I sent back the sectional and that was the last one. So now I have no furniture in my living room because I sold my previous set. Worse service ever. Who wants a damaged couch that costs 2 grand? Then as the movers took it back they banged it up all over the place and on my door.

I will NEVER EVER order from slumberland again, my item was supposed to be delivered today from 2pm-4pm, its well past 8pm and Ive still have yet to receive my item. Slumberland over promised and under delivered. I dont expect to revive my item today. To,or row I will be by to cancel my order and request a full refund!!! Lesson learned. Will not do business in the future. Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dealt with the manager, Tim when buying a recliner. I wish I had bought my mattress here. I wont go anywhere else for any furniture needs. Thats for sure. No selling pressure or fast talk and he didnt even try to sell me something expensive. I told him what I wanted and he walked me through everything. Going back soon to look at a love seat.
