I submitted a warranty claim for my Jackson Furniture Everest Sectional I bought in December, 2011. After just a couple years the frame broke, the armrests became dented and the back cushions lost all fluffiness. I had just finished college and this was my first major purchase and $2,000 was a heck of a lot of money for me at the time. Recently I found my old paper work from my purchase and remembered that there was a "Lifetime" Warranty on the product. I submitted a claim through Hom - Bloomington, and they are unwilling to fix the couch. After being very persistent, they finally agreed to pay for the parts and I pay for labor. You and I both know that labor is the expensive part of any repair. Our couch is under reasonable, normal usage. It doesnt sit in the sun, is cleaned regularly, there are not kids jumping on it, and there are only 2 adults in the household. According to Sothebys, a good quality couch (which I was sold that this was) should last 10-15 years, not 3-5. The warranty covers manufacturer defects, which there obviously was since we have used it normally for the past 5 years. I walked in there a couple weeks ago looking for something else, and the first thing the saleswoman tried to do was sell me the exact same couch! The salespeople and the warranty people at Hom - Bloomington are a bunch of crooks. Dont trust them as far as you can throw them.

OK shopping experience, very poor customer service. We bought a couch and ottoman set in October. The couch was delivered the next day in great condition. However, the ottoman was back ordered with an original delivery date of 12/15/11. It was not ready by that date. After that first delay someone did call and said there were problems at the shipping dock in China which would delay the ottoman further. We received a new date of the end of January for its arrival. However, I called yesterday after hearing nothing for about a month and found out the ottoman was actually available for pickup now. Who knows how long I would have waited to hear from them that it was in? On the first call that our ottoman would be further delayed I was told we could discuss compensation for the delay when it came in, but I had to call twice in the last two days just to reach someone (not our original salesperson- he did not return my call) who could discuss this with me. She offered free next day delivery, $25 back, or $50 store credit. Not great options. Dont buy anything that needs to be back ordered from HOM!

We were very disappointed in our experience at this specific location. We originally went it, just to browse and were literally followed around the store by the person who greeted us. Every time we went to look at an item a bit closer, he dashed over and started to interject his opinions about that piece. We finally were able to escape his view and another salesperson, who had been sprawled out on one of the beds, asked if we needed assistance. We said we were just browsing and started to walk around. We literally walked around a walled area and she approached us and greeted us again as if she had no clue she had already done so. I would never recommend this particular store to anyone. I get commission sales but I dont think anyone appreciates pushy salepersons.

If you want real customer service, please walk in and ask for Leighanne. She saved us from frustration, confusion and basically giving up because we couldnt find what we wanted. She didnt try to be the typical "car salesman" and up sale like crazy... she listened and she cared. She not only understood our needs but was able to pick up on what we werent saying. Everyone there is friendly and make sure you are doing well and being helped. Oh! And Leighanne didnt force us to buy on the spot because we knew we had to wait for our home approval... and I told her I will come back to her. We came back and worked with only her. I come from a customer service background and this is why Ill come back to HOM Furniture in Bloomington, MN. Thank you so much!

Hom Furniture associate Shannon Morgan assisted my wife and I in narrowing our choices for a new bed. Although we left without buying, we gained a great deal of valuable information and we plan to return to purchase within the next few days. Weve done some price comparison research and discovered that most places sell certain bed brands for at or near the same price. That factor being equal, we have decided to return to Hom because of Shannons professionalism, genuineness, and overall approach to sales. Granted, a lot can go wrong after this very early stage of the buying process, but Im certain it wont be Shannons fault, and well update this review if something does go wrong (delivery, defect, customer service, etc...).

I accompanied my daughter on her mattress purchase and was very happy with the way she and I were made to feel special. When youre buying something like a mattress set that you dont buy often, its nice when the sales person has answers to questions you didnt realize you should be asking! Weve been very happy when shopping at this Bloomington location and also the Woodbury location. Thank you for a fun experience and great selection, great warranty and customer satisfaction all the way around. I also want to mention our daughter is 22, but was NOT made to feel like her opinions or questions were brushed off merely because she was young. Very nice. Thank you Brian and Kat!

From the time I walked into the store we were greeter , from a greeter . I was looking for a sofa love seat combo . Couldnt find a single customer service person to help me . I must say for a store that big u should have more than two on the floor , the funny , part was this was at 10 am and the lighting wasnt event turned on the fourth floor , when the store was opened ! though I bought the furniture , from an additional sale guy named Michael whos great , one would think they would call u to check to make sure everything. Fit right and arrived . What happened to customer service ! When u spend 900 to a 1000 dollars u should at least follow up call , geesh !

I called the HOM furniture store in Bloomington to see if they have the same items I saw at a different location, and Shannon Morgan happened to pick the phone up. I hadnt met Shannon at that time but from the time she picked that phone up and after I met her in person she has been wonderful to work with. She is professional, approachable, pleasant and honest to work with. Most importantly she always gets back to you in a timely manner. She is also great at figuring out different options for you as a customer and your taste and likes. We are still working with Shannon and will continue to come back in the future. Thank you Shannon!

I spent a half hour looking for a salesperson after figuring out the sofa I wanted to buy, and finally had to call the corporate office in Coon Rapids just to get them to call guest services for me. When I connected with guest services they told me to go wait next to the furniture and someone would help. We waited another half hour with nobody arriving and just left. The sad thing is the sofa we found was perfect and we really wanted to buy. We wound up buying a less appealing set from Slumberland instead where the salespeople werent too busy for us-- and actually did a great job understanding our needs.
