This store has a history of selling questionable products to an area that has a lot of elderly people and low income residents. Shop here at your own risk!!!! The following is an experience I had there a couple years ago. I purchased these hot dogs for an impromptu barbecue for my kids yesterday. I normally am very good about checking the dates, but this time i was in more of a hurry to get home after church. When I went to rinse them off before grilling, I noticed discoloration and MOLD! I immediately look for the "use by" date and low and behold: it was 9/5/2015. These hot dogs were an obnoxious 22 days past there toss out date and the store (Shoppers Market on Van Dyke in Center Line, MI) had TONS of them out for sale! When I returned them, they didnt seem too surprised that someone was complaining about molded meat. They didnt even seemed concerned when I brought up the health department. I will NEVER spend another dime in this place, and I urge all of you to do the same. There are a great deal of seniors and children in the area. I hate to imagine what would have happened (or how many times it already has) if one of then accidentally consumed an EXPIRED and ROTTEN product from this store. AVOID SHOPPERS MARKET AT ALL COSTS!!!!! In fact, call them and tell them youre unhappy with the products they push on the community and that you will tell everyone you know to NEVER SHOP THERE! This is the case at far too many grocery stores and it NEEDS TO STOP YESTERDAY!!!!!

I shopped this location when it was Farmer Jack and continued when it became Value Fresh... I had an incident today that will change this... I bought a pint of Jack Daniels, I went home, took a shower, afterwards I went to make a drink and when I went to break the seal I smelled a strong odor of liquor.. I was slightly confused, I made sure the bottle was intact ( its plastic).. I tilted the bottle and when I righted it back i was holding it in the middle when slightly squeezed it and noticed bubbles coming from the unsealed top.. I took it back and explained I just bought it.. I was told that because of state laws it was Nothing they could about it.. dont get me wrong, laws are laws, and I get that but as a loyal many year customer of this location I felt dismayed and unappreciated especially seeing that this is almost a Mom and Pop so keeping your loyal customers loyal should be job one... however this was not the case... I will No Longer patronize this store... *disclaimer: this site would not let me leave NO stars...

They have great produce and meat. On my last trip I was looking for an item in their sales flier. I asked 5 people. No one wanted to help. Finally with the last person I had to tell them to call a manager or find somebody who knows. It is poor business to shuffle around customers and send them on a wild goose chase. At the 11 hoiver Kroger they will take you to the item or if at the cash line they will send an employee to get the item and bring it to you. Value fresh employees were lazy on January 10th.

James is way off base. I have turned more people on to this store. The staff is friendly and helpful. The point system is fun and they ALWAYS tell you when your points will end. They always post what you get with the point system. And the prices on their deals are phenomenal! I dont know how they do it on some items but I get name brand good items there all the time for $1!!! Been shopping there for 6 years and have no intention on going anywhere else.

The shelves are fully stocked. The store is NEAT. The sales are fabulous and the meat is fresh. I would have given them 5 stars, but they have an assistant manager that shows a disgraceful lack of empathy for disabled shoppers. Update 6/14/17: The assistant manager aforementioned has decided to post in her store that we are no longer welcome to use their disability scooters because I cannot walk into their store for it. Disrespectful!!

This is one of my favorite stores when Im looking for items that cost way more than a dollar and they sell them there for a dollar but theres always something different so its never the same item as far as prices go for the most part they are very high unlike detergent dog food I only go there for the dollar stuff

Customer service is terrible cant read when you write down a price to pay DTE. They put in what they want and charge you a two dollar fee. Then to correct it want you to pay another two dollar fee so they can send the amount you wrote in the first place.

The service is very poor! the points system is a joke. they just make something up to give and then wont tell you when the points are going to end! I have lost over 100,000 points twice because of this.I shopped there everyday but never again.

Very clean and well-stocked grocery store. Honestly if youre looking for a grocery store in Warren, and you want it to not be totally ghetto, this is your place to shop. Check out the deli and the meat section for some really really good deals.

The store itself is very clean and organized but the biggest issue of all everything is either expired or about to expire in one two or three days...so you really have to look at the expiration date... other than that wonderful prices

Everything is easy to find, most the staff are really nice and friendly, except the one lady in the deli, she had the absolute worst attitude ever. She also weighed all the meat over what I asked for and was super duper slow.

Dont buy any hummus or anything thats in the coolers.....had to return hummus due to mold.....vegetables that have been precut then wrapped are spoiled and gross. Check dates on shelf products and meats as well.

The prices are decent. They have a deli section. They sell beer Wine and Liquor. Fruits and vegetables look fresh but some of the other products are sold after expiration dates. So check your dates

I come here every month i love the services dirt cheap prices especially on there meats today they have so many great sales. Fast services and the the cashiers are very helpful

Clean, well stocked- - fresh meats and produce--a little pricey on "non-sale" items, but add their card to your keyring and save a couple bucks!!
