Really frustrating staff. My roommate had picked up milk, but they had sold us expired product. When we called them to inform about this, they agreed to just come down and pick up a new can without exchanging the old one. Now we do not live very close, and I had to go out of my way to just pick up milk. A different guy at the counter flat out refused to give me the milk even when I explained everything. He wanted the old can full back!! Just pure frustrating!!! Now its not as much about the milk, but the fact that I was walking there out of my way; they were not at all accommodating and that they lost me as a customer. Like hell I am ever going to recommend them anymore to anyone!!!

This is an amazing hidden jem! City Market has reasonable prices and hands down the BEST selection and variety of goods downtown. And did I mention fresh meat and produce! If your like me and are sick of driving to whole foods and meijer for groceries then give this place a shot. Kind staff, great selection and right downtown Detroit; Thank you City Market Detroit! Your my new local.

New to Detroit and stumbled upon this place today! The prices are amazing and I was shocked how much cheaper the deli meat was compared to chain grocery stores! The selection of items was more then I even imagined! I live in new center and will DEFINITELY be going back to do my grocery shopping!

Full line grocery store and delivery packed in to a small but super convenient space downtown. The deli counter makes awesome pasta salads. :)
