It definitely depends on when you go. I went at the beginning of the picking season (late May/ early June) and picked Duke blueberries (These are early fruit barers and the grove has 8-9 other types that will cycle through the summer season). The berries didnt have a strong flavor and were more tart than sweet. They werent tasteless but I was expecting a better flavor than what I could buy in the store. The second time I went, it was early August. (Depending on the year, the season can go until mid-August) and we hardly scraped together half a pound of very small berries covered in an odd yellow film which needed rubbed off. Id recommend going in the middle of the season (mid-June through mid-July) because of those experiences. Im looking forward to trying another variety of blueberry in 2017 with hopefully more luck.

Good place for picking blueberries. They were sweet and big. They also sale vinaigrette, mustard, preserve and honey.

Fun place to go pick your own blueberries. probably not recommended if you are allergic to bees.
