I used to work as a resident cast member for the Michigan Renaissance Festival and I bought several yards worth of material for my costume from this store, but later on, my costume director changed her mind and did not let me use the material - it was "too modern looking" so I took the material and my receipt and tried to return it a few days later. According to the back of the receipt, they claim to allow returns within a certain time window - but the managers of both this store and the Flint store refused to return my money. I hadnt washed, cut, or damaged the fabric in ANY way. In fact, I made sure to get back to the store ASAP once I knew for sure they wouldnt let me make my gown from the fabric I got. I think their return policy is like super back-handed. Dont buy material from them unless you are totally certain you can or will use it!

Products are so cheap and substandard, I cant use them. Like every other craft store, they jack up their prices and constantly put certain things on sale. No big deal there, just giving fair warning. The staff are not friendly. Smile at someone, and the look at you like you fell out of a tree. Great Christian message. Thanks, Hobby Lobby. I felt like the old dude at the club, trying to dance with twenty-somethings on dollar beer night. The cashiers dont have scanners to log in purchases, so you have to rely on their math skills to be rung up. If youre in a hurry, this isnt the place for you. Other than going back to return the unopened, substandard (thats the nice way to say it) products Ive purchased, Ill never return to this warehouse-looking, unfriendly, pius place. ... Oh, and it looks like Jesus, Himself, puked up all over the store.

I enjoy shopping here as the prices are very reasonable and some of the goods are unique. Ive gotten great house brand yarns, beautiful, unique jewelry findings and beads, handy sewing trims, cute buttons and buckles, a few unique cake decorating supplies, and some lovely home decor and pretty silk flowers. The cashiers are friendly, and although the lines are busy, they bring in more staff quickly, so you dont wait too long. They have an odd way of stacking the knitting yarn, and a person always seems to come straighten up behind you as you shop. If you ask a question about the availability of products, the staff know or will find out the answer for you. I wish it were closer to my home (I live "in the boonies" as they say), as Id stop in here to shop more often if I could.

I recently went into this hobby lobby for and interview and walked into the store watching the manager argue with a customer and say very rude things to her. At the end the manager and one of the cashiers were talking about the lady and other people in the store and making rude remarks. He was also very rude to me and was just unpleasant to be around. Over all for claiming to be friendly and nice to customers they arent. I wouldnt advise anyone to go here for a first job or for good customer service. I use to love this store and I would never work here and dont plan on shopping here anymore. It is a very unprofessional place and unkind for being a Christian based store.

The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful, especially if you show up within the last 30-45 minutes of the store being open. Last time I was there we walked in around 715-720 pm and were NOT greeted with a hello, but a snarky "we are closing soon" comment. When we asked if she could point us in the right direction she replied with "Im too busy" LOL, when she could have just as easily said "yes, aisle 5". Anyways they turned off 90% of the lights in the store by 745 and when we got up front to pay, they only had two regiasters open and were already locking the doors and turning customers away. Unbelievably bad business, the management should be ashamed!

The associates at this particular hobby lobby are extremely rude. I went in looking for a product to preserve my corsage and the store had a decent selection, so I asked a worker which was the best and most effective and she looked at me and said they all work terribly none of them work they all suck. I was surprised with the poor attitude and asked what might work best of them and she continued to say none they are all horrible and had no other advice. If they were all so bad why do they even sell it I asked and she ignored me. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, yikes. I would t advise anyone to come into this store looking for assistance.

I love this place! They have an incredible inventory of craft items, home decor, wedding items, and lots more. I bought several home decor items, and I love the variety of their merchandise - whatever your style is, they are sure to have something to suite you! Highly recommend. As far as previous posters comment, I dont know of any craft store that will return cut fabric. Too bad for that customer, but it makes sense to me why their policy is that way.

We did amazing floral centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for my daughters wedding entirely from Hobby Lobby. We went to a lot of places for flowers and HL had the best selection of beautiful flowers, plus they ran half off specials every other week. Friendly, organized, and great prices. This was my first experience w/ HL and Ill be back--The store is huge, WAY better than JoAnnes.

I have been openly discriminated against for visible tattoos. I was denied service and had a staff member tell me they dont serve "your kind" (my tattoos are religious in nature) and told if I come back theyd call the police. I didnt raise a stink. I wasnt disruptive. All I did was enter with visible tattoos.

Great store with huge selection of everything from crafts to knick knacks to Home decor. Also great place for holiday decorations and getting ideas for holiday decorations. Theres not a better store with as wide of a range as Hobby Lobby.

I love this store, but each time I go there employees are constantly moving the merchandise. There are always carts full of merchandise blocking the aisles. Also, in the clearance area, they will sell a broken glass item. Not smart.

I only really ever go to Hobby Lobby when I need to get something framed. Their prices are good (if you pull up a coupon on your phone) and service is generally pleasant and quick.
