i attended the free classes offered in the spring taught by Rich Merlino and they were excellent! they opened my eyes to the world of fly fishing. ive been spincast fishing for 50 some years and never realized how much fun i was missing. took my new found talents up north to a friends cottage and caught every species of fish the lake had to offer ( except pike ) on a single fly!! my friends were so impressed, the went out and bought themselves a fly rod.! Thank you Rich and the crew at Orvis for educating and inspiring people to the world of fly fishing

Staff is always friendly and helpful both in fishing supplies and clothes. There are several fly fishing and fly tying classes throughout the near at the store as well as through fishing guides. My wife loves the fact that there are women staff that are knowledgeable and as enthusiastic as she is about the sport.
