I recently bought my first hand gun, at your Taylor location, and had a very good experience. My sales associate was Kevin and he seemed to be extremely knowledgeable. My wife and I, were initially looking at a Bersa 9mm, and a Beretta Pico 380, because of their low price point, the Bersa was on sale for ($130.00) off, after discussing these two guns with Kevin, and him showing us the features, he decided to show me the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm and he explained the features and advantages, and he also explained the lifetime warranty for only an additional $29.00. I was very surprised at the low cost of the warranty and the coverage. Kevin explained that all Smith & Wesson guns were covered by this plan for a lifetime. I asked if it applied to Riffles and he assured me that it did, this was a bit perplexing because, I had bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 15/22 riffle at the Toledo Gander Mountain location and was never told about this as a matter of fact they did not offer me a warranty at all that I can remember and they were nowhere as busy as your location. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the time and patience that Kevin showed us during our purchase. I will definitely be a return customer!

I bought a hummingbird helix 7di this afternoon from a disgruntled older gentleman that didnt want to seem to help me at all. After searching the store to find help at the fishing counter I got mr grumpy. He told me they didnt have any of the helix 7s in stock. I then inquired about the display model, he said he couldnt sell it to me. After that, I asked if he could see if another gander had any and I would go there... He sighed and said, " I could but,...... Ugghhh, Ill just sell you the display but youre not getting any money knocked off". I was a little taken back.. I never asked for any money off, I just really wanted it. He wasnt too pleased that he had to undo the display and he never checked to make sure everything was in the box. Now I have a 529.00 display unit with no power cord and I have to call tomorrow morning and go back out to the store after I call them. Im really, really unhappy with this store and the associate that so called "helped" me

My experience was ok.the problem is not enough staff working in the gun department. No need for emails to the owner just read what we are saying.you guys need people that know about guns period.we are not gonna come into a store that has some of the highest prices snd not be ready to purchase and leave.we can easily go some cheaper and faster if we want to.i like buying my guns from a place i know will be open the next day.i baught afew guns.i baught a p32 a hi point and a p38.it took forever.just step up the time.you have us pulling numbers and theirs never more then ten people in their lol.and the fact your store only has one laptop to do the background check is stupid period.im going back in afew days to help my dad pick out two fire arms. One for the range/practice. And one to be baby.so pls contact the Taylor store and tell them to step it up or lose money.

To whom it may concern, I just was told by your customer service that I cant exchange or return unopened ammunition bought at your store. The ammunition was not the right fit for my gun. Not the stores fault this time but very disappointed in this policy. I then read all of the items that cant be returned once they are opened (almost seems like a scam) This may be company policy but after many bad experiences at your store this is the last one for me. I will not chance another trip to any Gander Mountain store and I will continue to tell everyone about my bad experiences. Im sure that that whoever reads this could care less based on previous experiences at your store. Now at least you have my opinion. I hope this helps you with any future customer service because you really need to improve it. Gary S.

Went there today to purchase a firearm I called to verify was in stock. I arrived to 2 employees waiting on 2 customers and picked my number from the reel. I was next up. Watching some very questionable sales people selling things that they really didnt know much about, i.e. telling a customer that certain ammo was designed specifically for their 1911 handgun and that you cant mix ammo brands in a magazine I knew this was going to be long. An hour later I left having never got waited on and the previous 2 customers just visiting with the sales associates for what was at least an hour. I talked to others later in the day and said this location is known for this. Go somewhere else........Sorry I couldnt do Zero Stars....

I must say, the help at this location was great! To start, I came in towards closing time, something I normally tried to avoid, and despite that, the staff never once seemed rude or pushy. I went back to the gun department, wanting to look at a Sig p290. The associate who helped me provided knowledge about the firearm and he was not pushy about showing me other products. He showed me what I wanted. Once I decided I would buy the gun that night, he was extremely helpful and when he needed managers to do checks, they were quick to respond. Altogether, it was a positive buying experience. I would highly recommend this location and would definitely buy another firearm from this location. 10/10!!

On 11/22/15 my fiancé had called in to see about the 9mm that was on sale and was told by the associate that they were out and if we came in they would order one for us if we came in to the store. When we arrived we were told that the associate was misinformed and that the sale was while supplies lasted, no rainchecks and each store had only gotten six. This had infuriated my fiancé. He asked to speak to a manager. Pam Miller was the manager that had came out to speak with us. She was very polite and patient with my fiancé and it helped calm him we ended up purchasing the Ruger LC9S at a discounted price and ended up leaving very happy. Pam was outstanding and made our transaction very enjoyable.

I didnt care for the customer service. C. who ringing me up at the front wasnt helpful when I asked to find an item that wasnt where they said it would be. Also, I asked if an item could be returned, I was concerned because it appeared as if it had already been opened. The response was off-putting and without interest. She said I couldnt return if "used" but she wouldnt look at it when I tried to show why I was concerned. Lastly, there was a couple of us lined up to check out, and a gentleman who walked in inquired if/where he could return an item. The response to him from the employee was, "theres a line". And nothing after that. However, people on the floor where helpful.

Came in to get outfitted to go fishing picking up some tackle and a license of coarse. I did decide to look around for a bit as the store peaks a handful of my other hobbies but was disappointed that the store was fairly drastically understaffed for the wide gamut of available gear. The interaction I did have was pleasant and friendly and I was in and out fairly quickly but feel I could have been sold on quite a bit more had there been more staff to attend to my needs and having come from years of retail sales experience expect this causes them a significant amount of shrink.
