Great selection. Good prices. Good help on the floor. But every time I go in this store, the people up front are rude. We stood in front of the glasses with another group of people also wanting to look at glasses and theres 5 employees farting around and being all playful, going out of their way to avoid eye contact with us. Eventually, we left the glasses and paid for our things. We jokingly mentioned that our son probably could have walked out with this minnow net he was holding and nobody would have noticed then they finally acknoledged us and informed us that ,"oh yes we would of, I guarantee you that". Ok, so youll selectively do your job? Help your customers!!! Then they laughed at us! Repeatedly! This is not a first occurrence, these employees are clueless about merchandise, have no manners and extremely rude!

The store itself is decent, but seeing as how its only four hours away from Atlanta, I would expect to see more Braves apparel inside. Football season has been over since the first week of February, but theres much more Falcons stuff for sale. Also, almost all of it is either in Large or Extra Large sizes. Theres not really anything for guys in the 150 pound range. Its baseball season folks...put that other stuff aside until Fall. Go Braves!

You need better employees! I bought a high powered Benjamin pellet rifle when I got home and started shooting it I couldnt hit anything,so I started looking over the brand rifle and realized the barrel was bent so I took it back and the employee proceeded to angry with me that the very obvious barrel wasnt bent. Im not to sure that me are anyone should shop at any academy sports anymore. You shouldnt treat a customer like that!!!

Ive found that they generally has the equipment you need, when its in stock. The staff is a mix of adults who can actually help you and some kids who have no idea what theyre doing. Also as far I can tell there are no sales/discounts or coupons. Which is a shame since a lot of equipment isnt cheap. This store is alright, you should try online first if youve not in a rush.

They have kids behind the gun counter that have no idea what they are doing. Management and some of the staff are rude. Selection is strong but prices are not particularly good. There is a Gander Mountain nearby. I will shop there or online for much better service, more knowledgeable help and all around better experience.

Shopping for a grill and I stopped at Academy Sports. While I did not purchase a grill at Academy, I was pleased with their selection...probably 15 or so on the floor. They had some reasonably priced, and several were more than I wanted to pay. I had several associates offer to help me while in the store.

RUDEST LADY IN THE SHOE DEPARTMENT. I hope you dont need help finding anything or have a question. Too lazy to even look for what I was needing. I will drive to Tallahassee or Gainesville before I go back to shop with her.
