Unlike this store, I hear that Jo-Ann Fabrics in other cities are little more than big box for cheap brands of quilting cotton... well thats not true at our local Jo-Ann stores. They manage to sneak in some nice quality brands so that you can find a little of everything, and at really great prices. They carry a smallish selection of nice dressmaker fabrics, albeit not much in natural fabrics. But you can usually find basics like white silk organza, cotton voile, a few wool suitings, action and swimwear fabrics, dress fabrics, bottom weights, womens suitings, and lots for kids, but nothing really for mens wear, which isnt too popular among home sewers these days anyway. Lately theyve added a fabulous new Nicole Miller line exclusive for Jo-Ann which has a very nice range of good quality fabrics, some in natural fibers. There are good quality brands of cotton quilting as well as some cheaper stuff, but thats not all the fabric they carry, so yes, you can make a nice dress or suit, if youre not looking to pick up a very specfic color or fabric. Of course, theres a wide variety of other craft and home decor materials. I appreciate the large selection of big box brands of yarns, including 100% wools, cottons, alpaca, as well as nice acrylics, novelty and baby yarns. I especially like to shop Jo-Ann because they have a very wide selection with a little of everything at reasonable prices, and friendly staff, although Ill admit they arent usually qualified to answer your knitting, crochet, sewing, crafting questions. When Im looking to buy high end sewing fabric, knitting and crochet yarns and threads, then online shopping is about all thats left unless you live near a great yarn shop (I do, and there are several in the area). And youll have to go online for a larger selection of notions, like millinery supplies or bridal/evening trims, and beads. But the local Jo-Ann stores do have quite a bit, more than you realize until you get familiar with their selection, so youll definitely save a few dollars shopping there first before heading online. This Jo-Ann store was renovated a short while back and its always fairly clean, well stocked, and the staff are friendly. Ive been shopping here for years and really appreciate this store.

More Than Special

I needed two blackout curtains for my bedroom. After the first visit I had to notice that I just got one curtain. Then I had to go there again. Then I complained and got another curtain. At home I had to notice that I paid 2,5 yard curtain, but received only 1,5 yard. I had to go to JOANN a 3rd time to get what I wanted! At the third time the woman at the cutting table (she was the one who gave me just 1,5 yard) was the worst (Rebecca with the red glasses!!)! She was not helpful and not friendly! When I was complaining she dart a look at her coworker. And then she said I could grab the fabric by myself. I couldn`t find it, so I went back to the counter. She gave me the feeling that I was annoying. The worst person I have ever met! The two ladys at the check out counter have tried to defuse the situation. I was really angry and Im still angry. You will never see me in this store again!

Worst customer service ever. I was very excited to buy the material for the first baby of the family until I had a really bad customer service from several employers of Jo Anns store, first the girl that cuts the material didnt wanted to be there and would talk other people and waste all the time possible to not find the material. the other cashier send me to different places because she didnt wanted to help me in first place. I never want to go back there.

Not a bad JoAnns. If you need fleece or basic quilting stuff, this is your spot. Sales happen often, coupons are confusing even with multiple sources such as mobile app, email, post mailer and receipt coupons. Dont shop here unless you have the best deal offered, crazy markup on prices for medium quality products. Often the only local place to shop for sewing supplies.

Great craft store and has an awesome variety of material, craft kits, and even a little bit of home decor! I also love going to their classes they have. They have a great variety of classes, too! They have crocheting, knitting, sewing, kids sewing, and you can even have a birthday party there! If you are a big craft person, you should shop here if you havent already.

They are okay I just didnt like the way that the staff followed me and my daughter around as if we didnt have money. I really changed my mind about shopping there only for that reason but I bought some things just to prove them wrong. That is when their attitudes towards us changed.

Bright and clean, Jo-Anns is a great go-to place for any crafting need. While I didnt require assistance on my last couple of trips, I did see several employees while walking around and I would have felt comfortable with asking them for help.

Great place to find fabrics, silk flowers, or other items for crafts and creative projects, whether you are a pro or just doing a side project. Definitely leans heavier on the fabric side vs Michaels which leans more on the crafty side.

As a teacher, sewer, & all around crafter, I go to this JoAnns weekly. More often than not, most of the older staff are cranky and give me a hard time for using my teacher reward card. I usually stand in line for 10-15 minutes.

Difficult to find stuff, staff directs you to go from one end of the store to the other when theyre not sure where to find something; cashiers are wonderful! They help you find discounts you didnt even know about!

Its extremely hard to find someone to help if you need assistance. And there is never anyone at the register to check you out. The thing that saves this store is the fact that it has everything!
