I will b spending my money here anymore. I bought a sewing machine at Joanns nd I never used it , so I returned it WITH the recipe and was told tht I couldnt get my money from the store and tht I needed to wait on a corporate check. They said give it up to two weeks, but usually it comes sooner, and especially with the recipe. They excepted my payment in the store, so y couldnt I get my money back out of the store. Currently I am attempting to talk to some1 at the corporate place and have now been on hold for 2hrs and 33 minutes and only God knows how much longer ill be holding! !! What kind of customer service is this??? THEIR 1 LESS CUSTOMER. NOW AFTER TWO ND A HALF HRS I WAS JUST DISCONNECTED. WOW

This Jo-Anns is in desperate need of more staff, especially at the cutting counter and registers. I usually find what I need here but there is ALWAYS a long queue. I try to go at the least busy times (just after opening) but during their big sales that doesnt even help. I have witnessed several customers being rude to staff because of the wait, but the staff have always kept their cool. On a general note about the Jo-Anns franchise, I wish they had a better selection of GOOD QUALITY fabrics in more natural fibers. Jo-Anns is the lowest price for a reason. There is so much polyester in there, in the event of a fire the place would never burn down, it would just melt.

I loved the Joann Fabrics in my hometown. When I moved to Metro Detroit, I found this Joanns to be larger, but I dont love it. I couldnt find anything that I wanted there, the staff was not overly helpful and I overheard one of the ladies at the cutting counter being flat out rude and obnoxious to a customer. I had to applaud the customer that she didnt jump over the counter to exact her revenge. I thought the layout was poor, items / departments are not well marked, making my trip there exceedingly long and unfruitful.

This store seems smaller than the one in Taylor and has less variety of merchandise. It seems that every time I go there what I need is out of stock. The store is clean and tidy, but the book section is a mess. I generally dont even bother trying to find a book there. The sales people are generally friendly and try to help, but not once has one of them walked with me to an isle to help me find an item.

Friendly staff who are incredibly helpful, and they will even alert you to coupons available online to use during checkout. Ive saved lots of money buying very good craft tools and supplies. I couldnt find some specialty fabrics I was looking for and they were unable to order it for me, but that is to be expected with specialty items.

Staff both times I went extremely difficult to find to ask a question, and both times before I completed a sentence... cut me off rudely mid sentence to say they didnt have the item. Turns out, yes they did. Also most of the items not priced. Go to another location.

Their customer service is not so good. I simply asked this random lady, "Excuse me-" and she walked right past me. This happened a couple months ago so maybe it changed, but considering their are better craft stores I never went back to Joann again.

Horrible!! Rude, no customer service and no one ever around to help. Dont try to make a return either because they argue with you and then find a lame excuse for not accepting. Just go elsewhere and save yourself grief and aggravation.

The only reason I even go to this Joann is because its the closest one. There always out of stock of the items I need. Its small compared to my favorite one in Wixom. The line at the cutting counter is outrageous.

Phone service has a laboriously long voice intro that is grammatically-challenged. Needless to say the phone service leaves much to be desired. A real turnoff.
