First let me start off by saying it will always pay off in the long run to avoid the big box stores and go with local business. Why? Because at the end of the day the same sale persons will be there 2 years later when you need help...and that was just our case. Two years ago my wife and I bought a new house and with that came the need to purchase all new appliances. After shopping around for some reason we decided to go with Best Buy just to save a few dollars. Appliances were ordered and scheduled for delivery on the day we were moving in. By about 5:00 PM moving day no one had shown up and we were getting s little worried so we decided to call and find out what was going on. After speaking to the manager of Best Buy we were told that a mistake was made in the delivery system and it would be about 2 weeks before they could come and were unable to do anything outside their normal process. This of course made us furious given the amount of money we had spent with them. Not to mention being in a new house with no appliances for two weeks. The next morning I called Sargent Appliance and explained to them what happened and asked if they could do anything to help us. I spoke with William, gave him the background on what happened, and what we were looking for. He said that they actually had the same models in stock and I should come in to see when they could get them out. I told him consider them sold and I would be right in. When I walked in the door and met William he let me know that everything was good, they are loading all the appliances on the delivery truck now, and they should be out with installers in a few hours. I signed some finance papers, thanked him religiously, and told him that we always come to him when we need appliances for the house. Everything was installed that day. Sargent and William basically saved our day. I called Best Buy and happily canceled a $7,000+ order even after they offered us a $1,500 gift card. I told them they will never see a dime of my money again. Lets fast forward now to 2014 and the story of our lemon refrigerator. Since we got the refrigerator (I wont mention the manufacturers name) we have had multiple issues with it. Right before this past Christmas (2014) we woke up to water on the floor and a refrigerator full of spoiled food. The unit completely failed and blew warm air all night. After speaking with the manufacturer and being told that it will be about a week until they can come out to repair....I had just had it. I went into Sargent that morning and saw William there. After a few years he still remembered me and listened while I explained to him what happened. Immediately he started to collect the repair history and documentation on all our purchases from the same manufacturer. He then got in contact with his rep to see what could be done to simply replace our fridge because of all the problems. After working and pushing on the manufacturer we were offered a different model fridge and had it to our house within a few days! The delivery guys showed up and had the old fridge out and the new one in its place within a few minutes. About an hour later an installer showed up to connect the water line and make sure everything was running like it should. The knowledge, professionalism, and customer service we received not only from William but also from the rest of the group at Sargent was great. It was their persistence to help us that got the job done. It will always pay off in the long run to develop a relationship with your local business like it did here!

Here is why we go to Sargents to buy our appliances...great customer service. My husband will not even entertain buying a major appliance anywhere else because we know we can count on Sargents whenever we need support on one of our appliances. Also, ask for Jeremy. We met Jeremy when he first hired in 5 years ago and was in training. We needed a new refrigerator and washer and dryer so we were his first customer. Just recently, we needed a new stove and guess who was there to help us? Jeremy is so well versed in the products. He does not try to sell you. He tells you the pros and cons of each model and asks you what it is you want and need. He also price matches your appliance to every other on the web so that you get the best price. He even came in $20.00 less on my stove than everywhere else. so these are a few of the reasons we buy all our major appliances at Sargents.

This place is a complete disaster. I purchased a high end Kitchen Aid Dishwasher from Sargent Appliances. The day after the purchase we started to have issues. Sargent was no where to help. I had to take up the matter to Whirlpool for resolution. Three months ago, when I decided to visit Rochester Store again Sales persons were arrogant, cocky and rude. They did not even acknowledge our presence in the store. This incident was Sargents loss when I walked out of the store and went to ABC Warehouse, Shelby Township where I spend $3,000 for Kitchen appliances. I will choose ABC all day over Sargent. Stay away from this place.

Walked around store for half an hour prepared to spend a substantial amount of money on a new oven. Very few other customers in the store. Was informed by an employee that "no-one was available to assist us". Too bad, I prefer to shop at smaller stores but this time I had to take my business to Best Buy
