I just left shoe carnival with my fiance were he was racially profiled by an employee by the name of PHIL! He was looking at shoes debating which ones he wanted to buy and he heard PHIL on the telephone telling someone he had to go because there is black people in the store and he believes they are stealing. Mind you PHIL my fiance works for the government never has been in trouble with the law and he is a very active father to our 3 year old. It is very disheartening because he goes there all the time to buy his shoes its so important in todays society that we are kind to each other and mindful of the things that we say because this country is not made up of just one RACE and Im sure shoe carnival doesnt just want to sell there product to just one RACE. So maybe someone needs to be looking into Phils employment because maybe he just doesnt have the sensitivity to work with the general public. I dont think we will be going back to shoe carnival the only thing I could hope for is that no one else runs into PHIL!

Want to be ignored? Go to Shoe Carnival in Novi. I was the only costumer in the store, but I still was ignored. Did not get talked to except for when they were telling me how much money I would have to give to them. Of course. Krista was just a joy. (Sarcasm) She did not look up at me or talk to me at check out except for when she wanted me to pay. I warn you not to give any money to these people, they are not nice and their prices are not even that great.

They got rude and annoyed when I asked them to measure my 4 year olds foot.. I thought it would have been easier to go directly to the sizes instead of guessing. Oh well. terrible customer service means we will not be back. No reason to be so snarky especially when someone asks politely

The employees are very helpful, but not pushy--which is the perfect balance :) The selection is great, as they have shoes in every price range, and trendy styles, to classic styles in excellent quality. Shoe carnival also runs very good sales and some BOGO events.
