Please, if you think of buying a game system, game, or anything related, do NOT go here. Never, never have I ever written a "review" about a business. If I get subpar service, I dont care. If Im robbed of money, I do care. Feeling nostalgic, I walked in and bought a GameCube along with Super Smash Brothers Melee. Also purchased 4 controllers with everything. The Indian guy (I cant remember his name} brought everything out and I bought it all. I was looking at some of his arcade machines and told him Im interested in one of them. Every day he called me asking if I was still interested. After a long week I decided to hook up my GameCube and start playing. Put the disc in and what do you know, the game could not be read. Took the game back, told him I was not interested in the arcade machine but wanted my money back for the game or a different disc of the same game. He cleaned the game and told me to come back if that did not do the trick. Went back home, same thing happened. Went back around 6 days after that and he told me he would contact his supplier and get me another disc. Never once did he call me. Personally, I knew I lost out on $80 because I have heard many stories of being ripped off from that place. Yesterday I walked in there, told him he never called me about replacing this game but called me every damn day asking if I was interested in buying the expensive arcade machine. He told me my phone was off and he couldnt reach me lol. My phone has never been "off" ever and was an excuse from him. I put the game on the counter, told him I dont want my money back, keep the broken game and will never deal with his store ever again. The prices there are insane and if youre still reading this comment, call him on his price and then call Disc Replay on Hall road. I went yesterday and picked up another copy of Super Smash Bros Melee for $45. The worker told me the copy is usually $60 but they were having a sale. Told him I bought it for $80 and he couldnt believe it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you like wasting money, go ahead. NEVER EVER will I step foot in that scam artists building. Go too Disc Replay on Hall Rd

Good store with lots of older used games. I am an avid game collector and have been impressed with the amount of variety they have (bought a few TurboGrafx and Jaguar games there before). While it is true you can sometimes find better deals online, you are paying for the convenience of actually physically holding and seeing the game before you buy it. That said, I have still found some pretty good deals here before compared to online (pretty nice loose copy of Magic Knight Rayearth on Sega Saturn for $90.) The few times the discs looked scratched up the owner offered to resurface it before I bought it. The only real complaint I could say is that the stock doesnt rotate too much, but that really is just the nature of the business of used games and not really anything on the stores end. The employees also recognize and acknowledge frequent customers, which is a nice feeling. If youre into classic game collecting, check it out. Be sure to ask if they have anything good behind the counter too; some of the more niche or obscure games dont get put out on the shelves because nobody usually comes in looking for them (I was only shown the Magic Knight Rayearth I mentioned earlier only after asking if they had any hard to find Saturn games. TurboGrafx and Jaguar games were kept in the back). I have not had a bad experience and I have been a customer for about three years now.

My grandson bought a memory card for a PSP and it didnt work. Within 2 days, with his receipt in hand, he tried to exchange it for another and the owner, who is a foreigner, refused and said we had to come back. I am a paralegal and tried to explain that if returned within 3 days they legally had to exchange it or give him his money back. He started yelling and said I was threatening him and I told him I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and at that time he literally threw another memory card at my grandson and I told him (my grandson) that he can never go back to that store, that at least at GameStop they treated you with respect and they honor our laws. I would never recommend that anybody frequent Game Quest ever again. They are over priced and they cheat young children and unsuspecting people who dont know our laws any better. If you are going to own a business in our neighborhood, I would suggest you take the time to learn our laws. I did contact the BBB and filed a complaint!

They Do not do rentals anymore and have most games overpriced, the owner of the store offered me money for my xbox 360 then argued with me for 30 mins about how i had the wrong harddrive and that i had hacked my xbox, so i took it to gamestop where they actually know something about games and consoles and got even more money, dont go to this establishment it is only made for you to lose money, i have been a customer since day one and we got screwed over on multipule systems and accessorys. buy amazon or ebay Hey hey 2 years later and i still frequently stopped by and you know what? its still bad, over priced, and like others i was lied to about prices. this place only wants your money and mind games is the same.

f I could give it less then 1 star I would, the gentleman you have working their currently as I write this doesnt know how to communicate. I just tried to tell him how the pokemon emerald you guys have in the showcase is not a real copy, he then proceeded to tell me "people like you did it" it honestly felt that he was accusing me of illegally making copyrighted games and Im not a fan of any of these accusations. When I asked for the owner/managers number he told me to leave and he is unavailable. If you could contact me I was just trying to help, yet I was verbally attacked for it.

Please never go to this store, sure they sell and buy old games but the owner lies and tries to rip people off, i called a week before i went to make sure they had what i wanted to purchase i called and asked for prices for the nintendo gamecube and playstation 1 system he told me the gamecube was 29.99$ and the playstation 1 would cost 19.99, so i went in and he tried to sell it all to me for an extra 30$ when i went in and it was the same guy who gave me the prices over the phone. so i called him a liar and a thief before i left the store in front of his customers and left.

The people at the Chesterfield store are pretty knowledgeable and friendly. The merchandise is very reasonably priced and often times has hard to find items for close to nothing. I would rather travel the 30 mins to this store than to deal with the hacks at Gamestop. As an added little benefit, the owner and service clerks all seem to remember frequent customers and I have never had a problem exchanging or getting refunds in the event a refurbished/used items isnt functioning properly. Gamequest is a store for Gamers. I only with there was a location closer to Port Huron!
