Worst appliance purchase ever. Bought a NIB Maytag fridge on eBay from Noble Appliance Center. Drove 50 miles one way to pick it up rather than pay the $299 shipping (which is shipped to a local warehouse, rather than your home). When we arrived at the appointed time and date in Madison Heights, MI, after giving them the 48 hour notice required, we were told our appliance was on a delivery truck but there were several deliveries ahead of us. After waiting for quite some time, we were then told it was actually at a warehouse ½ hour away and we could either go get it or wait up to 3 more hours for delivery. The manager/owner, offered us $25 in cash, then offered another $50 as compensation for gas/inconvenience. Nice, right? The Scam: he said the only way he could do that was to cancel our eBay order and re-bill us minus the $50. He said it would benefit us because we would get an additional $50 off the original price plus the $25 in cash, and he wouldnt have to pay eBay a percentage for the sale (missed that huge red flag). Once we picked the fridge up and got it home, 4 men carefully unloaded it. We unwrapped the protective plastic and Styrofoam (not in box as advertised), and discovered a not-so-new appliance. Nearly the entire left side of the back and vent was damaged and there was no way to tell if it would affect how it worked. I called Nobles to see what could be done to fix the problem. The manager/owner responded, "You paid less than anyplace else is selling that fridge for, and the damage wont be seen anyway." I was shocked! I paid for a new fridge which I expected to be in new condition no matter the price, and this was his response? When I persisted, and told him I wanted the new refrigerator we paid for, he suggested we load the damaged fridge up and drive the 100 mile round trip to pick up another. I responded that it would only be fair that they bring a new fridge to our home, and take back the damaged one. He said absolutely not, and hung up on me. To add insult to injury, we now have no recourse with eBays guarantee because he canceled the sale. He even chuckled when I threatened to report him to eBay, telling me there was nothing they would do and I couldnt leave a review since the sale had been canceled. Later I received notification from eBay that the same appliance had been re-listed. Sure enough, the fridge we supposedly bought was for sale again by Nobles. The description, photos, item number, everything was exactly the same. He told me that no one would believe my negative reviews because he had so many positive ones on eBay, however, if hes made a habit of canceling eBay orders on damaged appliances and rewrites the order as “compensation” in-store, others would also lose their ability to report him or give a negative review. What a scam! Run, dont walk from this so-called business. I dont know how he sleeps at night knowing hes scamming trusting, honest people. Plain and simple---this person is unethical, so heed my warning and the warnings of other victims who have had similar experiences. Please note this listing quote: “This seller does not offer returns (wonder why). You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee if you received an item that is not as described in the listing.” That only works if he doesnt cancel your eBay order. Also, in the description: *We do our best to accurately describe the conditions of all of our products. Sometimes minor imperfections can be missed during the inspection process. Different lighting conditions may accentuate certain damages and can make others very difficult to notice. Take a look at my photos and decide whether those imperfections would be difficult to notice. Just received an email from eBay stating that the seller claims we asked for the cancellation of our eBay order which is totally untrue. Not only is he a scumbag, hes a big fat liar! As others have written, this person appears friendly and trustworthy until the sale is final. DO NOT FALL FOR IT--HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

I must first say that Tony was awesome and was helpful and reliable during our purchase. That said, pricing can be a great deal if you know what you are looking for. 5 stars on pricing, negative stars on service. Customer service was a complete disaster, repeatedly throughout the entire process (again - only when Tony wasnt involved). We wanted to view the stove and microwave before buying, and were told they would bring them from the warehouse to Nobles Madison heights location and call us in 2 business days. 8 days later I call asking for an update, there was a mix up and they would call when the items were in from their warehouse. I had to follow-up again, never received the call but at least the items were in. So we pay for the items and are told to call the office to schedule a delivery later. I call up on a Wednesday, I was told they would call me back later to schedule. They never call. Friday comes, and I call them that morning, and the woman tells me she is working on the delivery schedule and would call me Saturday. Shocking I know, no call Saturday. Monday I call up and finally get a time scheduled. Appliances show up on right day and time, but is missing one burner cap. No big deal, Ill call and let Noble fix this. Left a message, was never returned. Days later I call speak with Beth and she says she will call me back, but she never does. I call back days later, and she tells me the item is in the mail. 2 weeks go by, nothing shows up. I call Noble, Beth asks me which burner cap this is. If it was already ordered they should know this. Anyway, I explain it again and Beth tells me that I am on her list and it will get shipped asap. Weeks later and I never received anything and am just tired of having to call up and deal with that place. I have never experienced customer service that was this bad. It is truly comically bad to where its a family joke of ours that any service mix up is pulling a Noble. You have been warned.

After our Newfoundlander dog accidently set the kitchen on fire - she tried to get pizza off the glass top stove but turned on a burner in the process and bingo, kitchen fire - well the worst was changed immediately but the range hood fan stayed, fan worked but it was scorched and semi melted. I wanted to replace it with a really nice one but until I found what I liked at a price I could live with, it stayed. Fast forward three years - and dont I see the range hood fan of my dreams at NAC online auction for 60% less than any competitor and 50% less shipping - yes it was a return with some scuffs but my goodness - it was a Stainless steel Zephyr Terrazzo!! - I kept my expectation low since this was an online purchase but to me, at least it wouldnt look as rough as what Ive looked at for 3 years. With some hesitation, I ordered it and it arrived fantastically fast, wrapped in so much bubble wrap for protection I thought they must own shares in a bubble wrap company. Took me a good 10 minutes to unpack - and Oh My Goodness - it is Marvelous!!! Much better than advertised - working perfectly. I did not need to worry at all and my range hood dreams finally were realized - the seller is as good as they get - they even sent more with the fan then in the online ad. It is very challenging to find trustworthy online retainers, especially with As Is items but NAC are wonderful to deal with and super honest - - For all those wondering about our dog and her cooking habits - The fire department suggested teaching her to use the microwave instead but we remove the knobs on the stove when are arent home so no worries, it cant happen again especially because I love my new fan!! Thank again for making the experience so positive.
