We had an unfortunate situation here and it will take a lot for me to go back to this location. My husband and I went to the Brighton, MI Home Depot yesterday evening. We figured, since the workers have to work anyway being it a holiday, we mise well give the store a nice sale. We had to buy a air compressor ($500). I asked the young lady at the self checkout for help . She was very polite and told me to go ask Bob who was around the corner. When I found Bob I asked him for some help with a air compressor. The first words out of his mouth were "Oh, boy" with a sigh. I thought, maybe just a long day. So we walked over there and asked his suggestion between two machines. We chose the one we wanted and asked if they had one in stock. He said he would have to check and then looked at us and said, "Do you really need this today, we are trying to close in 1 hour" My husband and myself just looked at each other and honestly thought he was joking then both laughed and said, "Yep, thats why we came in..." He ended up going around and had to find someone with a hi-lo license to maneuver the box down from above head. I was walking around the store in the meantime and happened to come across him in an aisle. He then proceeded to say, "You need to have a little patience" and I said, "Im sorry?" Because I honestly thought I heard him wrong and he again said, "Maam, you need to have some patience!" I said, "I have the perfect amount of patience, Im fine..." I was so confused why someone was basically telling me to calm down for NO apparent reason. I was just walking around? It made my blood pressure go through the roof. I apologize to Bob that he had to work on a beautiful 4th of July day, but I am truly sorry... that is not my problem. We were the customer. We were coming to buy from YOUR store so YOU can stay employed. We ended up leaving after that without purchasing because I felt so disrespected. I am a young girl, who is very polite and this caught me off guard. I was not raised in any way to disrespect people. This gentleman gave me a very bad taste not only for the Brighton location, but the company. Home Depot should watch who they employ. It doesnt matter the time, date (holiday or not) or person they are talking to. They represent Home Depot as a whole and one experience can change your entire outlook on a company.

Words cannot describe my disappointment, 2 weeks ago I needed help loading deck material no one to be found. I loaded up not just one cart but 2 with what filled the complete back of my pick up and brought a 1 ton pick up to a bow, the funniest part was when I was just finishing finally someone came by but didnt even think or look in my direction. So today I go back like a person with no brains to get another truck full, now this time I ask the person at the desk and he tells me if its not a large enough load its a do it yourself deal. It gets better, I get to the check out after loading a cart soo large I couldnt hardly push once again noo help but this time many orange aprons walk past. When I arrive the cashier asks if I want to save some money by opening a credit I said exhausted no thanks but what about a military discount she says we only offer that to and she points to a list of eligible military types. Are you kidding me is this how you really treat customers, do you even have a clue of how much I thought of the stupidity of buying from this place. I purchase many things from Home Depot for my company as a matter of fact I am in there almost daily if not sending employees to pick up supplies. I am a 62 year old military vet this is the gratitude you offer, you just treated me like DIRT!!!!!!. I will NEVER STEP FOOT IN YOUR STORE AND WILL BE POSTING THIS EXACT COMMENT ON EVERY GROUP FACEBOOK PAGE. Bring back the old lumber stores I loved the guys out in the yard loading my truck. If it isnt bad enough now we have to brake our backs loading stuff on a cart and brake it again loading into our vehicles. If there was a chance to give negative stars I would.

Liars with Immoral Business Practices. They tell you when you purchase appliances that they can be returned; the receipt tells you that your purchase can be returned. But when you receive a defective product that doesnt work from day 1 Home Depot claims that they do not issue returns on appliances. It seems to me that HD knows they are selling defective goods and are unloading them on unsuspecting customers and then not allowing any returns. If they were selling quality products they would have a flexible return policy because there wouldnt be many returns. HD is knowingly selling defective merchandise and then lies to customers claiming they cannot return defective merchandise. Im not sure if what they are doing is illegal or not; but if I dont get my money back Im taking them to court. I want my money back; I feel scammed and stolen from. Paid good money only to receive defective dryer that HD refused to allow return for. Literally stopped working after 15minutes; day 1; and they refuse to allow return. They dropped off a big piece of junk and took my money. I am never spending another dollar at HD; my family is never spending another dollar at HD; my business is never spending another dollar at HD; and my colleagues and associates will be influenced by this. Im pissed. Give me my money back.

We purchased a lawn mower and had problems since the day we purchased it. Absolutely the worst customer service and the Brighton, Michigan manager would not get involved except pass the problem to another asst. manager. Absolutely worthless! We tried to have the lawn mower serviced at the Home Depot and they could not fix the problems. They believed the problems were caused by the gas we use today. The mower had trouble starting, would constantly smoke, back fired, and the electric start failed after 6 months. We took the mower to True Value Hardwares service department and they were awesome. They fixed multiple problems and let us use a lawn mower while ours was getting fixed. It turns out the Torro lawn mower was defective. We found out we could have purchased the mower from True Value for the same price and let me tell you, they stand behind their products. HD is not the company they use to be. I will only purchase from True Value or Lowes in the future. Also we heard HDs service department people are not certified techs. You have been warned.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!, I ordered kitchen cabinets through this store and was told if they installed cabinets it would be around $1000. after I paid them $50 for a measure charge, when they came out to measure they said it would cost nearly 4 times that much. what a scam. when the cabinets came in and I told them that they would not be installing them for that price they said ok , good luck. I got no cabinet placement order and was charged $80 for 4 1x6 boards that had to be ripped 3 times rather than the correct size boards. They must get some kick backs from the installers or something, because I could get No customer service once I told them that I wouldnt pay their outrageous price just to hang 12 cabinets. Shop around and dont assume that you can trust these people, they dont care once they have cashed your check.
