Went there on a Saturday morning, Bought some bags of cement and asked to help load them to my car. Cashier was very polite and said she would call for assistance. Waited 10 minutes figured it was busy after 15 minutes went back inside told them I was still waiting. Cashier lady apologized to me and said she would get some one for me again. Went back outside waited for another 5 minutes no one came. So I saw an employee walk by asked him if he could help me load the bags that I had been waiting for 15 minutes and he said he would be right back. so another 10 minutes passed figured he was not coming back. I was so mad and frustrated by this point, I walked to customer service and the same employee that said he would be right back was talking to another employee and just laughing. I explained to the lady at customer service what had happened and she apologized told me she would get some one to help me load my cement into my vehicle. So she finally grabbed an employee and helped me out. Had to return back in the afternoon because my husband bought something that was the wrong size. Took it back to returns figured it would be something easy since I had my receipt with me. The older Lady named Edie was very rude and impolite because what I returned was used by my husband. She gave me nothing but attitude and she literally slammed the receipt on the counter and told me to sign. Wow never have I experienced such horrible customer service from them. I usually go to get what I need and get out. Not going back to them again I will give my money to Lowes or Mernards before going back to them.

Thought you would like to know how your store is being spoke of....and that it has reached across the country to New York State. I have removed the names of the woman and her son to protect their identity, but feel that you would LOVE the way she speaks of the assistance she received in your store!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! People are looking for businesses to rise up and be HEROs during this time of global conflict and strife. Daryl was acting as a Leader Without A Title!!! "I have a feel good story of the day. If you all dont know my son and I just moved again to another apartment in Michigan. This is our fourth move since he has been hurt and confined to a wheel chair. The shower here is a walk in but has a four and a half inch lip on the out side. We thought that would be no big deal, but it has been a nightmare getting him in the shower. Almost wrecked a couple of times. And typical of my son and I we die laughing in the worst situations. So any way, I decided I was building a ramp. So I go to Home Depot prepared to buy saws the works. I consult with Daryl in the building area discuss my plans and measurement and he says just come back tomorrow I am going to throw this together for you. I get there today the ramp is totally done, he is not working but there is a note that says this is free of charge the lady will be in to pick it up!!! So Daryl at the Home Depot in Livonia, MI is my hero of the day People are amazing! "

Home Depot advertises a 10 percent discount for Veterans. Which I think is a good perk. When I asked for the discount I was told I needed an I.D car with a picture on it. The only thing that I have other than my discharge papers is my lifetime membership for the VFW Club. When I did my service in the Vietnam Era we were not given a picture I.D. Only discharge papers. As anyone knows, a VFW membership is only for Service Vets and In my opinion that should be accepted along with a drivers license. It looks like the modern day Vets have such a card with their picture on it and it is acceptable. So why are the discriminating which Vets should get a discount? I guess I will suggest to all of my Veteran Friends from my Era to go to MENARDS which is just across the street or go to LOWES which isnt far away. They arent the only place that carries building materials and stuff.

Michelle was SO HELPFUL. ( dont know if there are two michelles, this michelle had a yellow cap on. ) She saw me struggling to pull my cart loaded up with soil, jumped right over and helped me lug it upfront, kindly showed me where there shovels were with exact accuracy ( I have been sent on wild goose chases at other location so her knowledge of the layout was sweet relief) She then told me some great advice about how to make the onions seeds I purchased grow rounder too. Great gal! I was thoroughly impressed by her kindness. She then helped me pull the cart to my car. I never had to ask for help. I hope she gets a raise! :)

Horrible customer service. Asked for help to get some hardibacker and had to wait 45 minutes to get any help so I found it myself. Saw people walking around but was told the people were working up high on some aisles and it would be a "few minutes". Finally I found what I needed myself and someone pops up saying oh I think you were the one waiting with a smile on his face. Yeah thanks and helped the person that walked down the aisle after me. Ill stick to lowes.

30% of the Pro parking spots were blocked by shopping carts. The aisles were so full of displays I had to wiggle my cart between everything. One aisle was blocked by a display and ladder to the point I had to turn around. The only Pro checkout was operated by someone who didnt know how to do anything. If you are going to put a rookie on the Pro checkout at least have someone at the other register to help. Next time Ill go to Menards

Lady at paint counter was very rude. Said that paint that I returned was frozen and it was my fault. Even though I had a receipt that said I just bought it. It was her fault for selling me paint that had a 2009 date on it. And she did it twice. Do not know her name but she kept her head down and would not even look at me. I noted her hairstyle was messy. As a contractor it is very frustrating to spend any extra time going through product (drywall panels, Wood studs, Trim boards) to find undamaged product. I had to purchase 40 pieces of drywall and took over an hour to go through board with my employees to find a product in decent enough condition to install. Really wish they would take more care while unloading products.

Not the best Home Depot but they do have some of the best employees possible. I rely on the morning shift for knowledge and service to get me in and out quickly. I visit this store 4 to 5 times a week for materials for the job. The evening shift seems to be a fill in staff while the morning gets rest to come back and take care of things in the morning
