DONT GO WITH HOME DEPOT FOR WINDOWS.!!!!!!!!After getting several quotes from various companies, we decided to go with home depot windows and installation. The main reason we decided on Home Depot is because they have Anderson windows. The previous owners of our current home added an extension to the house and used Anderson windows. We were so happy with the look and quality of those windows, we decided on Home Depots Anderson. When the Home Depot rep came out to our home to give us a quote, we explained we are going with Home Depot because we want all of the new windows to match the old Anderson windows. The represenative said they would be the same. He clearly stated that the current Anderson windows and the newly installed windows would be the same. The windows that were installed are vinyal looking. They are very clearly much different the the older Anderson windows. Our new windows have a flat vinyal looking interior. The old windows have detailed wood dividers. If we wanted vinyal, we would have gone with another company that quoted us half the price of home depot. Moreover, the men who installed our windows were incredibly unprofessional. One entered my home smelling like alcohol. They went upstairs with their shoes on. I asked them to remove their shoes. The one who smelled of alcohol seemed as though he did not understand what I was saying. He did not remove his shoes. I did not ask again becuase I felt afraid. These men came with tarps to cover up furniture and what not and did not use them appropriately. They layed them on the ground ...did not cover my dining room table and chairs (velvet material) when they are only about 3 feet away from the window they were installing. Instead, they laid a tarp on the floor in front of the table. My chairs were completely covered in debree. Once I noticed the mess on the chairs, I moved them away from the window myself. The gentlemen explained their vacuum was not working and did not clean the chairs or table or any other item my kitchen loaded with debree. Also, my wedding dress in terrible conditon.

Terrible. This location has a real ghetto attitude & it shows. They cant perceive what "customer service" is. Revolving managers every several months. Wood haphazardly thrown on racks. Rarely anyone in lumber to assist. I advised a client not to purchase a toilet at this location but she was determined to. She ordered & paid for it online. It was to be brought to the front door for pick up at a specific time. When I arrived at the specified time, no toilet near either door. When I asked customer service, the employee looked right through me as if I wasnt even there. Ok, so shes rude. Again I asked about the pre-purchased toilet. She told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Yes, I did provide her the clients name & my own. Another employee heard us & walked up. The first one told her to get a box out of the cabinet behind her. She turned around with a 10" x 8" box & asked if this was it! Sounds like a joke but it wasnt. I asked if it looked like a toilet & she laughed. Requested a manager & none responded. One hour later, a guy finally got a toilet down from a shelf & brought it up to the front of store then left. Did not even offer to help load it in my vehicle. Obviously, I had quoted the client a charge & now had to eat one hour of my time. The sooner this location closes the better. Go to Menards where most contractors go. Home Depot is very "Yesterday". Its a place which employs the loosers and nothing more. And they want you to feel sorry for all the recent store closures!

Great customer service. Best service Ive ever had at a Home Depot. I walked into the lumber department looking for help. I knew I wanted to get a sheet of wood cut to size with the intention of using it as a temporary table leaf. Marc approached me asking if he could help me. I explained that I was looking for a 42" by 26" by 1" sheet of wood to use as a leaf and was planning to throw a table clothe over it all so I didnt care what kind of wood I got. He thought about it and let me know that they probably didnt have a inch thick sheet. He checked with another employee to confirm, and let me know my best chance was probably a half inch sheet doubled up. We looked at some other potential options like a sheet of counter top, but quickly realized that the doubled up half inch sheet was my best and most economical choice. While we ran around looking at options, I explained to him that I needed something for dinner that night. He suggested that I use screws instead of wood glue to hold the sheets together as a result. (No glue smell to worry about.) I couldnt be happier with how thorough and thoughtful he was in helping me out. Ill be back next time. Now if I could find my receipt and do the official survey for them...

Home Depot has the absolute WORST carpet installer partnership. Do not ever order and get your carpet installed through Home Depot. The company United is very inconsiderate and untimely. They do not care what about their customers. It has been over two months since we ordered the carpet and it has just been sitting in the warehouse. Granted, they messed up our order the first time and still did not make us a priority to install. The manager of the carpet department at Home Depot is also helpless. The first time we went in to talk, he agreed with our situation that it was not right and dumb that our little 12x10 bedroom was going to have seven seams. When he said to come in a few days later if we hadnt heard from him, he was doubting our words and siding with the installers, saying it was our fault we sent the carpet back when I fact the installer called his boss and was told to not even take it off the truck. Do not make the mistake of choosing Home Depot.

Ive never had a good customer service experience at this location. No one ever wants to help-- they almost always avoid eye contact, and seem irritated when you ask for help. I asked for assistance in the gutter aisle today, and I was told, "sorry, theres no one that can help you." I asked how long it would be if I waited for someone, and he replied, "theyre just too busy, sorry." I found another employee and asked for help cutting the 10 gutter sections, and he told me that they dont cut gutters. I asked how I was supposed to get a 10 section of gutter into a Cobalt, and he said, "I guess you arent, sorry" and walked away. Terrible experience. Avoid this store at all costs unless you know exactly where the item is that youre looking for, and it doesnt require assistance to buy.

I placed a large drywall order online. I received an email that my order was ready to be picked up. When I got there, there was no one at the ProDesk and Customer Service told me to go find someone to help me load the drywall from the shelf (which according to the email, was already done). Then, the person I found to help never came back to help me. Why order online in advance if I have to pull 5/8 sheetrock by myself anyway. As a professional residential builder who uses Home Depot often Im extremely disappointed with the horrible customer service. Its time to give Lowes a try.
