This review is not directed at the Home Depot store. My complaint is with the contract companies they hire to do their installations. My first bad experience was with the appliance installers about 6months ago. The installation fee for a stove and microwave was $100. The hole for my new stove was too small, so they couldnt install that. (which i understand) however when it came to the microwave, the installers hastily mounted the bracket, threw the microwave on it, and tried to leave. I pointed out that the microwave was tilted forward quite a lot and the gap between the microwave and cabinet was about 3 inches. They told me there wasnt anything they could do and left. I fixed myself in about 30mins. Now, 6months later, I am trying to purchase carpet for 3 bedrooms. My wife and I, after several trips, find carpet we like. We wanted an estimate, so you need to schedule a measuring. We choose to schedule online, because the store at that time was pretty busy. The online process is pretty simple and I believed that I wasnt going to have an issue. However, when my appointment date arrived, the contract company didnt call, so I called the store. The store said my order was in the system and assured me I would receive the call the next day. Sure enough the next day, NO CALL. So.....I would have spent about $1500 on carpet, but since I couldnt even get the company out to measure my house, I had no faith in their ability to install carpet. Moral of the story, Be VERY cautious with any of these contract companies. I really wish HD would find more reliable and professional companies to service their customers.

We recently had new countertops installed through Home Depot. Without going into excessive detail, we were poorly educated by the associate assisting us in terms of what we would be getting for the price of the installation. When we spoke to a manager to clear everything up (which required the return and re-purchase of a new sink, as well as eating some additional costs we thought were already included) we were told he "wont talk compensation" until after a deal is complete when I hinted at some recompense. We were asked to "take a leap of faith" but he would have no issue crediting us at least $100 for the mishap after the install. We got our installation completed (no further issues, company who installed was Solid Surfaces Unlimited. They did a great job, I suggest bringing your business directly to them and cutting HD out.) But the HD store never once reached back out to me to see how it went, even after corporate said they would, and a couple phone calls went un-returned. I gave up pursuing the manager, not worth $100 bucks, but my "leap of faith" didnt pay off. I suspect he was just banking on me not coming back to honor his word. Not a fan of being gamed, so I definitely will be giving my business to Lowes and Menards for the foreseeable future. I gave 2 stars because I have been to the store many times and have never had an issue other than this. If you want a mop, im sure your experience here will be fine. If you want work done, try another big box store or look for contractors directly.

Another store called to check to see if they had something in stock, they said no, we were headed this direction anyways, they had it for $3 more than the other store, we tried for a price check and they sent us to Customer Service desk, I thought the cashiers are empowered to do discounts and price matches? Highly disappointed, after waiting for 10 minutes the cashier called us over and said she would do it. They were price matching the exact same item they have at another Home Depot cheaper, 100% apples to apples.

My husband and I went into this home dept today to get new granite countertops for our kitchen. We looked around and waited for assistance when no one came we asked another employee from a different department and she told us that all the employees from that department are out sick and she could only tell us the basics. We were interested in getting the installation set up today. The only reason I gave two stars is because their selection is better than the Livonia home dept

Nothing to do with the store itself, I feel they are extremely racist against whites. I know 2 white females that interviewed with the store manager who was an African american. They are hiring cashiers and both women have a lot of experience as a cashier. No call backs, always getting a voicemail, and have noticed that there are new employees there and guess what? Black females. Sorry but that is not right. Take my business to lowes and Menards.

This is from far the best Home Depot ever, the stuff is really helpful, their products are really good, the service is amazing, this is the only place that I love to leave my money and be happy. If you ever had a bad experience at other Home Depot I really recommend you to come to this one they will fix all your issues, best Home Depot this one on Ford Rd in Canton and the worse is the one on Dearborn.

I have no problems with their in-store customer service. BUT calling the store is a nightmare. I was calling to confirm an online order, I was hung up on twice and the final time I was transferred 4 times. Everytime the rep. would inform me I had the wrong person and transfer me again, repeated this 4 times. Next time Ill just go into the store or try somewhere else.

Very rarely get any help at this one or any other home depot...Ive waited in lumber & paint for over 20 minutes multiple times with still no help... furthermore when someone tried to help in paint, she could barely speak English & provided Me with incorrect answers & wrong/inappropriate product...the only pleasant part is the checkout--at least theyre kind & polite

I am a teacher and this Home Depot helped me and my classroom in a time of need. Im bummed because I dont remember what her name was, but an employee went above and beyond to help me when she really didnt need to. I really appreciated the willingness of this specific employee and her manager allowing her to help us out.

Roberto exceeded our expectations. He was very kind and helpful. He was the best hd associate we have ever dealt with. Mark from the paint department was extremely nice and very sociable. Kristy at checkout was very personable and warming. Overall we had the best experience we have ever had at home depot.

No help with very heavy load of pavers and dirt. No keys locally to open side gate, while on outside waiting, someone finally made it to open lock but did not remove lock to open door. We did everything ourselves. Wheres customer service!

I always go out of my way to go to this Home Depot over other big box stores and even other Home Depot locations. I never have to look far for help and employees always help me with a smile. I am a happy costumer :)

This Home Depot has most items regularly available at Home Depot. The prices on some items might tend a liitle high but the convenience can outweigh that concern. The customer service here is very good.
