This Menards could be a great store, unfortunately they stand in their own way of achieving that. There is no customer service, no knowledge, nobody to answer the phone, no interest in customer service. Basically if they have it on the shelf and you like it for the price buy it, dont expect anything more. I have often had to show employees how to use the computer and where to find information or products. The 11% rebate is the biggest scam, they mark items up 8% - 15% beforehand. Then I only eventually get back about 80% of the rebates I send in. State laws need to zero in on this practice better. BTW Rebate International is a 100% Menards company. Its nice to carry so many american and local made products, you will find many are made in Ohio! But you still have to really be careful about Menards pricing strategy. 5% to 10% of the items in the store will be priced and advertised at below market prices, all other items will be priced significantly higher to cover the cost and provide profit. Its all about mind games and Menards is very good at it. Another tactic is to carry items similar to other stores but not the same SKU. So, the item is technically different but really, there is no difference. This is especially true with tools. Watch out for steep price changes too. I bought a wrench set for $40 reg price, weeks later the price was $80 then down to $65 sale price. Its a total farce and you will get screwed if youre not careful. So, I shop there if I must. It just takes a lot of due diligence to research competitors and see if the price is actually fair.

Maybe the worst customer service and policy of any retailer. I purchased an egress well for a rental property that I had just bought in the area. I usually go to Lowes for these purchases but wanted to try Menards because they had the product on the shelf. Unfortunately I returned the egress well because of issues with the contractor. I returned to find out that the product I bought, even though it was still on order, that I had to pay a 25% return fee. I told the manager Tony Williams that I didnt know about the return fee and that I had not even gotten the product and it was not even 24 hours but I was going to be charged a return fee. I asked for his manager and he said he does not have one the next person in line is MR. Menard??? This is crazy that you get charged a 25% restock fee for something you dont even have. Tony told me many places charge a restock fee.. I said who charges a restock fee and he said there are some. I said not 25%. He had nothing but for me to call Mr. Menard. So if Mr Menard would like to call me and tell me why he lost a customer on the first transaction with a store I look forward to his call. Thanks, Don

The last review, has nothing to do with the location and needs to be taken down. That said, my review is this. This store is pretty okay. You get lost at first when you come in. The store needs at least a greeter, to help people locate stuff because it is a big store, about as big as wal-mart. The customer service is excellent but their phone system needs to change. We shouldnt have to dial two-digits to get a specific department. This store has a customer service desk, and needs to have customer service answer the phone directly. Most stores dont have it, they have a dial by directory, which is really annoying not to be able to get a human to answer right away! Other than that, no complaints with the store, its very neat and clean and has very friendly customer service reps.

As I entered I was greeted with a smile. I was looking for a patio door look but they didnt have the one I needed. I didnt expect them to have it anyways, no biggie. I was looking for a hollow core door but no one was around to help. I asked a guy who referred me to some associate at a desk. I stood there for a moment until he noticed me. He just started at me without greeting me. I finally said what I needed help with and his response was "Im the wrong guy". He called the correct person and they referred him to the area where the doors were nearby. I told him I had a specific question about one of the doors and he repeated to tell me the same thing, where they were located. As if frustrated. This was the second time I felt unsatisfied as a customer shopping at this Menards.

Same experience as the person 4 months ago. A busy signal all day long. I bought doors too and the guy swore the doors were the same. I wanted the same style but they didnt make doors more narrow than 28". So I order 3 doors that were solid wood but were supposedly the same in every other feature. They are so different I cant possibly hang these two styles in the same house. Well they are very different and I now will have to pay 20% restocking fee. This place is awful.

I will never shop at Menards again. Purchased a chainsaw, used one time, never worked again. My receipt clearly stated defective items can be returned or exchanged as long as you have original receipt. When we got to the store we were handed a business card for a local repair shop and told we would have to take the chainsaw to them to have them try to repair it before we can exchange or return the item. This practice is absurd and an insult to customers.

Horrible customer service!!! The employees are not helpful and it might take 10 of them to figure out where something is. They never have enough cashiers working and long lines. Usually the cashiers are in a bad mood and treat you like you arw bothering them. The prices they show in the store are different than at register. I would go Zettler Hardware in Powell Ohio.

This place is a complete disaster! Prices might be OK, but absolutely not worth all the all headaches they cause with lost orders, backordered products, damaged products, incorrectly ordered product, etc. etc. EVERY single order has some sort of issue!!! I am officially never going back to this place!!

Staff can be very helpful, I find things here i cant find else where or for a price that you cant beat. If you have a big item you want, i suggest waiting for a 11% rebate week, then you can roll that back on something later after you get the rebate certificate.

You are trapped in the store like a mouse in a maize. Tried to call today about a defective door and the line has rung busy when I try to call. Was told they tried to call me but I was home all AM and no calls to discuss defective door discount.......

Alright in side pull around back the guard at the shack doesnt speak had to find someone to get my stuff poor staff the forklift drivers are great Menards need to put more friendly members at the guard shack its 12.:33 8/10/17
