The Home Depot decided to have their delivery truck call to tell me that my order for lumber was rescheduled for "some time tomorrow"; a day late and possibly after my crew was scheduled to be gone. From 7:15am- 10:45am, I was bounced around from customer service, to store to store, to online chats with Home Depot. No one could help and no one was willing to accept responsibility. So I called a local lumber yard, Brooks Lumber Co. & Ace Hardware. Not only did they promptly schedule my order but I had the entire order delivered within two hours of my initial phone call; to add beauty, it was about $40 cheaper. THANK YOU BROOKS!

Not only are they one of our rare city lumber yards (and they know their stuff), but Brooks is also a full-service hardware, with everything you need from nuts & bolts to electrical fittings to bicycle accessories to kitchen blenders and mops. Great staff--friendly & helpful.
