My husband and I recently bought bed-side tables from Three Chairs and though we were told we could return them, we were not told there was a 30% restocking ($188.00) fee for doing so. We were told the fee applied to custom orders and though the tables were stock, they were considered custom "because of the factory they came from". Weve purchased furniture and accessories from Three Chairs in the past because they have very cool products and are close by but have recently been ordering from Crate & Barrel as well as Room & Board.

I bought a Mitchell Gold couch from them about three years ago. At the time of purchase, we were told that a warranty covered re-stuffing the cushions. When we called to have them re-stuffed, they said that it did not apply to our purchase because we bought the floor sample. This is NOT what they told us at the time. I would recommend that you document everything; and, any warranties, etc. should be in writing. Their customer service is atrocious.

I have received excellent customer service here and the store offers FREE design services. Yes... FREE. The furniture selection in both stores is great and the staff works with you to let you know what options are available beyond what is shown on the floor. Love it and it is great for downtown Ann Arbor.

I totally disagree with the previous posting. I found staff in both Mitchell Gold and Three Chairs to be knowledgeable and gracious!
