This should really be a ZERO star review, but I dont have the option. The deceptive salesmen treat you like second class customers; unless they think youve brought a loaded Brinks truck with you to spend on their sub-par furniture. They follow you around, and act suspicious of your every move, almost like the think that youre going to steal a couch if you arent interacting with them. One salesmen told me to not waste my time looking in the clearance center section and to only look around up front, so that I could ensure that I was "assisted" by a rep. When I politely requested details on a piece of furniture that I was prepared to buy, the salesmen told me that I shouldnt bother buying it, and instead tried to sell me on something triple the price (which I had no interest in), and told me that the item I was interested in was no longer in stock, and wouldnt be in the near future (even though it was prominently displayed). Furthermore, the TV commercials that scream that the "biggest sale of the year" is going on, is a completely exaggerated illusion. The so called super sale price was easily beat by almost all of their competitors; but Art Van changes the names on their merchandise to make it hard to do price check comparisons on the spot with your phone in their store. It was absolutely the worst shopping experience Ive ever had. However, the jokes on you Art Van -- I spent several grand at your competitor immediately after I left your store feeling maligned. Perhaps Art Van Furniture executives should take a page out of IKEAs play book, and ditch the intrusive and antiquated sales tactics promoted in their stores. Its easily apparent from the plethora of horrible online reviews of this store (and almost every other Art Van establishment), that the merchandise sold here is essentially equivalent, if not worse than the low cost self-assembled furniture sold at big box furniture stores. No wonder Art Van Eslander couldnt wait to sell his furniture junk yards to private equity firm wolves. The embarrassment of his name being attached to these hustlers must have been unbearable.

NEVER EVER BUY FROM HERE THESE GUYS ARE A RIP OF!!!!!!!! I purchased a couple of reclining couches or "love seats" less than a year ago for over 800 bucks , seller pretty much made me buy the so called extended warranty. sellers pretty much gave me the sunshine, rainbows, flowers and puppies speech that it would cover anything ...of course thats not true . About a month ago i started noticing that the leather was coming off the backside of the couches, one of the recliners is loose already and stopped using it cause i was afraid i would break the couch ( note : no one in the house weighs more than 200lbs and we dont treat our stuff like we dont care about it ). i went to the store to see about the "warranty" i purchased for an extra 50 bucks. i was told to call the 1800 number and i did . A SO CALLED "TECHNICIAN" SHOWED UP ONLY TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE COUCHES AND HE LEFT!!!! a few days later i get a phone call to find out they will not fix my couches because of "normal use or accidental damage"... 800 dollars in couches and 50 bucks of insurance . they havent made it to a year and theyre falling apart ..... stay away from this place expensive, bad customer service, and poor quality on overpriced furniture ... youre better off in ikea... i found out if you use wood glue while putting together your stuff will last a lot longer than any art van junk

In mid-June, like someone else here stated, my husband and I apparently voided a warranty, which we didnt, and yet in their system we had. So, were stuck with a mattress we cannot do anything about. Yet, every single additional item that we purchased had a warranty (10+ items). I find it odd that the most costly item had no warranty while everything else did. Why would we have done this? Our sales rep was great and tried everything he could to help us after hearing what happened, but when he had asked another associate in the store if he could add the warranty, he had a BIG attitude, pretty much saying no because WE DECLINED THE WARRANTY. My husband and I overheard the conversation not far from us and we felt much hated after that. My other family members have sworn over the past several years to never go to Art Van for anything because theyre scammers, and unfortunately we now feel thats true. In addition to this situation, a couple of our other items were delivered damaged and since repaired. Id think twice about shopping here. Again, our rep was great but his managers, however, were NOT. They make you feel like youre a waste of time.

My father and I came into this store looking at some prices for a mattress, and to possible buy one. When we walked in the door we were immediatley approached by a salesman asking if he could help us with something. We told him that we were looking for a mattress for my mother and my father. Before we could say anymore he rudely interupted us and basically told us that if my mother wasnt with us to purchase the mattress there was nothing he could do, and that we should come back another time. Basically kicking us out politely. If he would have let us talk, instead of cutting us off, we would have told him that my mother doesnt really care what mattress we buy, and we probably would have bought one. We were there no more than 2 minutes and I felt as though we were not welcome or wanted, so we left. I would not reccommend this art van to anyone, and I will most deffinantly never shop for furniture there again!

They sell a lot of crappy furniture thats doesnt really last long, Im sure some are fine but when it came to my couch it lasted 3 month before it started to fall apart, bought the whole package for $1200, it was a couch, an oversized chair and coffee table with two side tables. I did do anything out the ordinary, just used them as you would expect. The couch springs sag and dont hold weight very well. If I sit in the middle the other two sides pop up a little, the coffee table started peeling after 8 months, never put wet cups on it, always used a coaster, a d the oversized chair did the same as the couch. Though only reason I give them two stars is they do have a room in the back where they sell display furniture so if you dont mind cheaply made stuff that may or may not hold up, then you could get some good deals. Beyond that you have to pay if you want quality, which means go elsewhere l.

Extremely disappointing service. I almost never write reviews, but I highly recommend anywhere other than this store. The purchased a bed from art van where kit was more expensive than other options because I thought it would be a higher quality service. Its been one disappointment after another. 1. The delivery staff failed to put together the bed properly. 2. They failed to bring everything I ordered and I had to follow up several times to actually get the full bed parts. 3. They cracked the frame putting it together. 4. Their solutions have been unhelpful and inconvenient. 5. I finally wanted to simply return the bed, but even that is subject to a loss of my delivery fee of $100 and an additional 15% of the cost of the bed. I just wanted a nice bed and Ive been so disappointed. At this point, I just want to get rid of it and start over.
