Not only one of the best hardware stores in the world, but simply one of the best retail stores in the world. It is a throwback to an era when most stores had employees who actually gave a damn, and where they unfailingly help you even when what you need is a dollar part. They competitively price their products and even when they cost a little more than the big box stores (although more times than not they are less) I willingly pay the price simply to make sure they thrive. What is even more amazing (bordering on magic) is how a store their size almost unfailingly has what I need in stock when the Home Depots and Lowes dont. Also, they have many parts in bulk storage so that if you only need one of something you dont need to buy a pre-packaged carton with more than you need. I could go on and on, but you owe it to yourself, Ann Arbor, and consumers everywhere to shop here whenever possible so that they continue to thrive. They are a model of what a great store should be.

The folks at Stadium Hardware have never been unable to help me with whatever I come in with - be it finding some really specific metric hardware, or suggesting a simpler design for a project Im working on. They really do have everything you could think of there - including some great people who care about making sure you leave both a happy customer and set up for success on whatever it is you are working on. Its a rare day when you can stump the people working there with a problem they havent seen before, and even then they are quick to come up with ideas on what could work. This is one of my favorite stores in Ann Arbor, and if you have some sort of hardware store need and you dont come here, you are missing out on a whole lot of knowledge, personality, and good prices.

Just moved to Ann Arbor, bought an old house and have had to visit Stadium HW almost daily ;) These guys know what theyre talking about. theyll tell you how to get the job done. Ive wasted too many hours wondering through Home Depot trying to find something. I no longer waste my time with the chain and giant hardware stores unless its something stadium doesnt carry. Sometimes the bigger store have more options... the one downside. Friendly, honest staff who is alway willing to help. Theyve even pointed me toward a lower-priced item when its adequate for the job Im doing. Theyve stayed open after the posted hours just so I could get what I needed to finish the job that night. Go Blue and Go Stadium!!

Ive been going here for 40 years, and its still the best hardware store around. The staff is extremely helpful and I trust their advice and knowledge over anyone elses. They know their products, and theyre great at helping you figure out what needs to be done to fix your problem. Theyre Click and Clack for hardware. Prices are rarely more than what youll get at a big box, and frequently theyre less. The service is unreal. Once I needed a part but the store was about to close. They put it in a bag for me and set it outside the back door and said I could pay them later. Obviously theyre smaller than a big box, but in the things they do -- hardware, basic tools, plumbing, etc. -- they have a better selection.

Our furnace went out on a Sunday when temperatures were below freezing with forecasts of record cold for the next few days. Our heating contractor told us what Ruud part we needed, but he did not stock the part and could not get it on a Sunday. We called five other heating businesses who said the same thing. Then our daughter said to call Stadium Hardware because "they have everything." I was sure they would not be able to help but called any way. I was never more glad to be wrong! Their heating person was working that day and was able to get our part from the warehouse! We picked it up an hour later and had our heating guy install it. Wow! I will always call them FIRST from now on!

Always friendly expert advice for any household fix-ti or create-it project. The staff really take any problem as a challenge. The advice is free, the service is usually immediate and the selection of the most arcane and specific fixtures and fasteners is immense. Yesterday, Brent surgically removed a broken bolt from a piece of furniture in about 5 minutes. A local furniture repair store told me it was a complicated project and I would have to wait at least two weeks and they could not give a repair cost estimate. The cost at Stadium Hardware was the price of a new bolt- $0.30. I have lots of good feelings about these folks. You get a lot more here than at Lowes or Home Depot.

Yes, other stores might have better prices. They might have a cleaner atmosphere, better lighting, and you might find something cheaper on Amazon or elsewhere on the internet. But when you NEED a hardware store, in the traditional sense, THIS is the place to go in Ann Arbor. Service and knowledge. Have a problem at home? Take a picture with your camera or cell phone and bring it in, and the staff will most likely not only have the items you need to tackle the problem, but, more importantly, tell you step-by-step on how to do it. The fact that most of the repair, heating and cooling, electrical and handy-man guys run down to Stadium Hardware should be telling enough. Come here!

Every time I visit Stadium Hardware I have an amazing experience. The entire staff is awesome, highly knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make sure you get the help that you need. The latest example: I went in with a faucet valve that needed repair. After having trouble finding the part that I thought I needed, the first employee who came by not only recognized my valve without me saying a word, but as soon as I showed him the broken part, he knew exactly what I needed and actually preformed the repair for me, a task that was beyond my skill level and for which I do not have the appropriate tools.

I cant say enough about this place. I have received great advice countless times, solving mysteries and puzzles saving hundreds of dollars while often selling parts for a few dollars. I would be lost without the support and friendly service I recieve from Stadium Hardware. And in other places, Ive been asked countless times "youre going to do that yourself?" Never at Stadium Hardware. Not only do they empower ALL their customers, they also love dogs. And (usually) dole out treats so the dogs love the place too. Cannot say enough good things about Stadium. How could one place have SO many helpful, knowledgeable employees. Never a shortage of someone to help and most important they seem happy to...not like the big box where they often seem like theyre trying to get away as fast as possible. They have everything you could possibly need, with the exception of lumber. I just called to see if they have beeswax...and they do! Lastly, when were looking for a certain kind of tradesman or service, we always call them for recommendations. They never steered us wrong. Enjoy the experience that is Stadium Hardware!
