Im having to hit up this Ace about 4-5 times a month for random things like screws and bolts, electrical stuff, toilet parts, maybe a bag of mulch or weed wacker spools.... I havent had much prob with the place, its your basic hardware store and for small things it sure beats driving down to home depot. Not likely to have specialty parts, their outdoor decorative stuff is limited, and I find mower equipment they sell cheaper at the big box shops or online (no big surprise)... I got my mower tuned up for summer last year and havent had a prob since. I did go in looking for a coax connecter for a CB radio last week... not surprised they didnt have it... sometimes you got to hit radio shack or home depot for the not-so-common stuff. Once I walked out after seeing a big line at check out, and came back an hour later instead. But Im grateful for all the times this little shop has helped me in a pinch.

Walt in mower parts was very helpful. I needed a belt for a mower that they normally dont stock but he had one somebody had special ordered and not paid for yet. It had been in for 3 weeks without the buyer coming to get it so he put my name on it so I could come pick it up instead. Also said I could return it if I ended up not installing it. I have a service agreement on my Craftsman mower through Sears and they were coming the next day to work on it but I wanted to make sure I had the belt I needed in case they did not have it on their truck. Did all this over the phone with S & S before I went there even though they were not too far away from me. Made it a lot more convenient and saved me driving further to a Home Depot or Lowes, most locations of which didnt carry it either.

Looked around Google for help with a sputtering leaf blower. Found this ACE store was a certified Husquvarna dealer that carried the repair parts I needed - right down to the primer bulb assembly. The man at the parts desk found the parts I needed for a very reasonable price and gave me some good advice on using pre-mixed fuel. Now my blower is working great. I would have normally taken something like this to a small engine repair service and paid 2 to 3 times more. I will definitely go back. Very helpful and friendly staff.

I have had poor customer service everytime that I go into this ACE. They are definitely not the ones that the jingle sings about, "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man". NOT S&S Ace! I have purchased lawn mower blades and belts there but I have to beg someone to help me and when they do, they are all very sarcastic and rude! I leave there each time saying that I will never return. I will only go to the one on Winder Hwy now. Sorry but you disappoint me everytime.

I cant stand this place and will never go back. They never have the parts Im looking for anyway and today just shows these guys also need some customer service training. Paul from parts cut me off when I was telling him about the part I needed. Then said rudely, hed need a full deposit and Id have to come in, hes got a line of customers. He couldnt tell me how much the part would be to special order it. Why do you guys even have phones over there?

Have gone in several times and greeted with politeness and courtesy. Never have to spend time looking for someone for help because they will most likely find you. Great selection of everything you could need. Recently purchased a Stihl Trimmer in there. Great service behind the counter and the know-how is there for your lawn machine needs. Will be coming back often since Big Orange and Big Blue are too far away.

Although I am a relatively new customer of Ace in Braselton, I have been there several times over the last few months and have been pleased every time. Your people were very kind even when I bought the wrong bolts while trying to rebuild a disk-harrow...sorry about that. Keep up the good work. Mike McConnell

I went to Ace Hardware today with a broken water valve problem and I was treated as if I were the only customer in the store. I view this store as a throwback to the days before the big stores, where the employees knew the customers names and treated them, if not like family, like old friends. I love this, all but forgotten, way to conduct business.
