cindy & carol are the best home depot associates out there, i say this because they are the two associates that always stick out from all the departments in allen park, dearborn, and taylor home depots... They are very knowledgeable of all the tools they are renting, very humble, and willing to give best guidance as to anything that has to do with tools you are trying to rent or fix... for example, one time, i brought my clogged airless sprayer and Carol did what was needed to be done to where the sprayer got fixed, I was really relieved since my sprayer was an expensive one.... Cindy on the other hand, brought to me a tool that other associates in allen park home depot and dearborn home depot tool rental departments couldnt find... but since she knows all the tools available she found it, that helped me alot since i saved a lot of time in my project... thanks to those two associates and i believe that home depot should make sure all other employees have them as role modles

On Sunday May 21, 2016 The most disrespectful experience of my life. First of all we waited for over one hour for the manager to show up at the return desk. The manager was very disrespectful. He didnt even wait to hear why we needed to return boxed unopened and unused items. They were not power tools. I was told by one of his associate that he could call the 1800 number for us. He just said I cant return anything without even looking at the items. I have never been treated in this manner by anyone in my life. At lowes you are respected and its just down the street. Buying and returning at lowes you are always treated with respect. I recommend shopping at lowes.

I had a special order for VCT that was supposed to be delivered to this location. The order kept getting damaged and they re-ordered on my behalf. The problem with this is that the store did NOT communicate with me at all. So here I am, the customer, thinking that my tile would arrive on a certain date, but the tile wont arrive for another week past that expected arrival. Problem from my customer perspective: I had hired a person to install said tile. With no communication from this store, I am pushed to give them this 1 star, terrible rating for POOR customer service. Yes, I cancelled my tile order.

Home Depot lost my business again today. I called to check on a tool rental availability and the rental Sept. Transferred me to cs. When I was sent back to them they put me on hold for10 minutes. Because I was close by I decided to go in and ask. The associates were engaged in conversation and ignored me. I just walked out. Lowes rental was further but surely thats were I spent my 600$ in tools and supplies. I used to be a HD die hard,now I dont go unless its the only supplier. Home Depot I will gladly pay more for great service.

Terrible used to spend a bunch of money at home depot I will not spend another nickel in this place purchased a Milwaukee drill kit 12volt that the sales rep said was great let batteries charge for a day tried to use it srcewed in 6. Zip stews and drill was dead put the next battery in and it was 2 bars returned garbage 4 days later and they only refunded me 112.00 I paid 150 for kit this is terrible Im a mechanical contractor who will never shop at home depot again.

Allen park Home Depot has 5 Star customer service. I have worked in the retail industry long enough to identity when people care. I appreciate all you do Allen park Home Depot. Very disappointed, spent over an hour looking for things we needed just to get to the register for them to say they are only accepting cash. Sad thing is we had a 500+ order now we are taking our business to Menards. I completely understand your system being down what I dont understand is employees lack of information or resolution. I would have offered for customers to leave their materials somewhere and return with cash. Ridiculous wont return again.

When this place first opened it was A Cut Above. It went downhill but is making a comeback with new management. Have seen an improvement with certain product selection. UPDATE : there are some real dim bulbs working here. Several bad experiences lately, particularly while calling. Management really needs to step their training.

The Allen Park location is by far the best HD in the Detroit Metro area. The service is always friendly helpful and quick. The store is well stocked, clean and organized. SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE GREATER AREA.

Takes about 45 mins to an hr for returns because they only have 1 register in use while every other employee stands around while there 6 customers waiting to exchange and finish the job
