My girlfriend and I went to see Mark about engagement rings. The first thing Mark did was ask us how much we knew about diamonds. We knew just about nothing, so he gave us both a high level view of the different aspects of diamond shopping. Most importantly he explained everything to us in terms that we could understand, and in most cases, he was able to show us examples of different clarities, different cuts, what have you. He did so in a very low-pressure manner. He understood we were there as a start to our shopping, and he didnt try to sell to us on the spot. While we were there, my girlfriend and I set aside a few different rings, each one had some element that she liked; one had the perfect sized stone, one had a setting she liked, one had intricate designs in the gold. A couple of weeks later, I went back to see Mark, and together, we talked about different things we could do. I couldve purchased one of the rings as-is, or we could alter one of the rings and add or subtract things to it. Ultimately we ended up designing a custom ring (with the stone that she really loved as the centerpiece). We pieced all of the elements together, that she really loved. The cost was unbelievably affordable for a custom ring, and almost half as much as I had anticipated spending before we had started this process. Mark was incredibly professional throughout the whole process. With technology being what it is these days, Im sure most couples have trouble keeping communications from one another, whether it be someone picking up their boyfriend/girlfriends phone and seeing a text or email come through, etc. Mark was incredibly discrete. He only contacted me on the medium that I chose, kept the messages direct and to the point, and only contacted me during specific hours of the day, when I knew my girlfriend wouldnt accidentally intercept! The ring was perfect. It was exactly what I had pictured when we designed it. She said yes (yay!), and she tells everyone that it is "perfect". Its exactly her style and fits perfectly with her hand size. Mark was knowledgeable, honest, and I felt like he really cared that we got the right ring for this important moment in our lives. My fiance and I cant recommend him enough if youre in the market for an engagement ring.

I had a fairly rare antique Rolex Submariner I had not worn for some time. I decided to sell it and am always VERY suspect of most places that advertise purchasing collectible watches. I went to Watermark with a healthy dose of suspicion about what was going to transpire and expected to walk out with watch still in hand and more than my share of disgust over the typical "low ball" offers and the myriad of negatives about why it wasnt worth..blah blah blah. I found Mark to be extremely knowledgeable about the watch, careful in its full inspection, and more than fair in his offer to purchase the watch, in a pleasant, no pressure atmosphere. If you have quality items that you are looking to dispose of, I would definitely recommend you pay a visit to Watermark and allow Mark to evaluate and appraise your items. I think you will get a more than fair experience, and retain the ability to decide for yourself if his offer is to your satisfaction. I am more than happy with my experience with Mark and I will definitely consult with him regarding my future purchases or sales of high quality time pieces, gold, etc. And, for your information, I am a "picky S.O.B."

Pleasant experience. I decided to sell some of my gold jewelry that I havent worn in years. While doing a search online to sort of figure out what I was doing (as I have never done this before and didnt know anything about it), I found Watermark and as there were reviews posted, I read them all. As a result, this was my first stop on my gold selling adventure, and it resulted in being my only stop. I was parting with a necklace that holds a bit of sentimental value, but I havent worn in close to 20 years. I was offered what I felt to be a fair price and told that the piece will find a new home and bring sentiment to another rather than just getting tossed in to the melting pot. I also had a handful of junk jewelry and feel very content with the offer that was made. I shared this information with my sister who lives in another state and she asked me if he would take stuff by mail, so I told her to send it to me and Ill take it in for her. Thank you for making my first gold selling experience a pleasant one. And I look forward to visiting your store again.

After looking for a gold bracelet I decided to stumble into Watermark Antiques and even though Mark didnt have the bracelet I wanted I could tell he ran a great business and he was someone I could trust to get me a good deal. So I gave Mark my number and what I was looking for and 3 weeks later he called me the day someone traded in a beautiful bracelet that was right in my price range I couldnt get down there for a few days so he held it for me with no deposit which was a classy move on his part. In the 3 weeks of looking everywhere for a bracelet Mark never called me once trying to sell me anything that I couldnt afford unlike many of his competitors! I will certainly do business with Mark again he went out of his way to explain to me exactly what I was getting even down to how much I could scrap the bracelet for and he was only a few hundred above scrap value which I was more than willing to pay him because he found me such a beautiful piece of jewelry. Mark will always be my guy to go to when looking for jewelry great quality and a better price!

My Dad, Ted, wrote the harsh review of Watermark. Someone went us far as setting up an another account signed Ted Davis and saying that previous post was a mistake. Hopefully Google will see that the second message isnt from the real Ted Davis account and watch this place! We checked to see if it was my Dads account that had gotten hacked but it was a brand new one. He couldnt reply to this because he already had written a review. So, I have to write this for him. The truth of the matter is that my Dad was taken advantage of when he sold his valuables there and now is having someone say his review is wrong. This place is unbelievable! They will go to any lengths including faking reviews. Avoid them at all costs and dont believe if they open an account as Barbara Davis and say my review was a mistake too! Very shifty.

I recently went to a big name jeweler in the Boston area to do some homework on engagement rings. After I regained consciousness, I walked out of there with the expectation that I would be eating Easy Mac for the next 6 months. But then I went to see Mark at Watermark Gold. I had bought a bracelet from him a while back and was thrilled with it. I was completely unaware of his incredible knowledge of engagement rings and I learned more in 5 minutes with Mark then I did in 2 hours at the previous store. After a few weeks I just picked up the ring and was absolutely floored. It was exactly what the "big shots" showed me and Mark saved me 45%. NO JOKE. You should absolutely consider Mark for any future diamond purchases.
