I had called Balise chevrolet to install a remote start on my 2012 Chevrolet silverado. They quoted me the install kit (2 remotes and a keycode) for 275$ and about an hours work to install it. I found the remote start kit on amazon for 200 dollars so I ordered it. I made an appointment to have it installed and when I showed up Balise Chevrolet was very unhappy I was supplying my own parts. They asked how much I paid for the kit and I explained I saved 85 dollar by ordering it online. They then asked me where I bought the truck. (I was not living in the area when I bought the truck) so I had not bought it at Balise chevrolet. The sales associate had to get approval to have it installed and then they quoted me 200 dollars for the installation. I asked why it was $200 for installation that should be about 45 minutes. The Balise Chevrolet associate explained that is how much they charge the dealership who in his words is "their best customer" and so it was not billed per hour, but that it was a flat $200 flat fee. I explained that the price was unreasonable but they would not budge on the price. The sales associate finishes with "but we want to keep your future business"!! 45 minutes after my appointment I left the dealership dissatisfied with the original parts and no work complete. Unfortunately I know where I wont be getting service from or buying my next truck from. If you do buy a new car from Balise Cherolet the remote start package for $275 plus $200 to intall it is ripoff. For $200 dollars in parts and 45 minutes worth of work.

Pitiful excuse for a dealership. My girl friend and I went in to get our tires changed. They did not change the air valves in our tires (which they admitted they should have done) so we had fluctuating flat tires which we had to fill every day until we got the chance to book an appointment at a reasonable time of day. We finally got an appointment from the assistant service manager named ROB (whom we had originally met with to get the tires changed). We called him the day and of our appointment and he told us that he would meet us at the dealership for the appointment we had made with him - he promised he would give us a rental once we dropped the car off and would "take care of the problem" regarding our tire issues. Well, we got there, and ROB was no where to be found. The man behind the counter, who was unbelievably rude, told us they had no appointment for us, were closing soon, had no rental for us, and to come back another time (we live 40 minutes away and had flat tires). He had absolutely no regard for us as customers. After they tried intimidating my girlfriend into leaving, I refused, and was so dumbfounded at their lack of respect and pride in their own business. This place is AWFUL. Their service is TERRIBLE. Hire employees who care about your business, not employees who screw over customers and get their paycheck knowing they work for a company they have no pride in. ROB, you are the worst of them all. You are a liar and a sleazeball. Thanks for the appointment and rental car that didnt exist you snake in the grass.

This Review is for Balise Chevrolet at 440 Hall of Fame Ave, Springfield, Ma. 01105. I have a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 and I know from my past dealing with Balise Chevrolet that my Toyota Rav 4 is in excellent hands at Balise Chevrolet. I know that Fran Caruso and service tech Nick will take care of my vehicles service needs as if I was at Balise Toyota. I have come to appreciate the care my Vehicle receives at Balise Chevy with the awesome service from Fran and Nick. I wish Balise Toyota would appreciate my business as much as Balise Chevrolet does. The service manager Jason at Toyota does not appreciate loyal customers who have been servicing their vehicles their since bought New in 2009. Service Manager Jason now does not want to accommodate customers vehicles needs that have from day one of delivery had no issues rotating aftermarket wheels and now after 7 years it has become an issue and seems to me that my business is not appreciated here anymore. I even just last year bought another new vehicle from Balise Toyota, a 2015 Toyota Venza Limited. Knowing now what I know of how they appreciate loyal Toyota owners I might not have bought that 2015 Toyota Venza from Balise Toyota in West Springfield, Ma. Since they can no longer accommodate customers service needs. I am so happy to know I can get just as well if not better service and customer care at Balise Chevrolet in Springfield, MA. Thanks to the Awesome customer appreciation by Asst. Service Manager Fran Caruso and Service Tech. Nick

I recently purchased a car from Balise and there was a little noise coming from the front end. I asked the salesman about it and he said that it was road noise coming from the brand new tires and that it would go away. I asked that it be checked out during the pre-purchase inspection and he said that he would do that. When I picked up the vehicle, he said that everything checked out and that the vehicle was in great shape. I did not put very many miles on the vehicle until about 3 months after I had purchased it when I went on a long road trip. On the road trip, the noise continued to get worse until it became unbearable and I knew something was wrong. I took it back to Belise (after the 3 month warranty was up) and it was their word against mine. They told me that the noise that the salesman had assured me was tire noise, would cost me $1250 to fix. If something goes wrong after the warranty, I have no problem paying for it, that is part of the risk of buying a used car, but this problem existed prior to them selling it to me, and it had to be obvious to them that this was an issue. I was assured on two separate occasions that it was nothing to worry about, and here I am now with a large repair bill for a problem that began while the vehicle was in their charge. It does not get more dishonest than this. Avoid these lying cheats at all cost!

It does not appear that Balise is committed to performing recall repairs in a customer friendly manner. My most recent stop was a scheduled appointment to have the ignition key warning chime re-programmed in a 2013 Chevy Sonic. This recall required a flash of the firmware in the radio using the USB drive port. I requested an oil change & tire rotation to be done in conjunction with the recall. When I made the appointment I was old about 1½ to 2 hours would be required. After 2 hours I went up to the service desk for a status check and was told that the recall couldnt be performed immediately because the needed software had to be downloaded. You would think that on a scheduled appointment specifically for this repair, the software would have already been downloaded and ready to go? On top of that, the oil change and tire rotation were not even started yet! After another 1½ hours waiting, the next status check delivered the surprise that the recall repair required a further hour to install the software with the excuse that the manufacturer had made a change to the program that required another download. After 5 hours I staggered out of the dealership to return home to a furious wife. Thanks, Balise, this isnt my first recall repair with you guys that has gotten pushed waaaaay down your priority list... I owe you one. Mark Morsbach
