Im the president of CaRMaH, and we are thrilled to adopt out 350+ cats per year that would otherwise have been homeless. One of the things we pride ourselves is the support we give to adopters before, during and after the adoption. Our cats all have a vet check within 7 days of adoption. But, not all issues show up within those 7 days. If an adopter has an issue, we respond to it immediately, as we did with this kitten. We scheduled a vet visit with one of our great veterinary partners, who diagnosed this kitten with calici virus. We covered the bill, and offered to take the kitten back, and refund the adoption donation. This adopter was smitten with her kitten, and chose to keep him. Although we are sorry she chose to give us a poor review, we are still proud that we put the kitten first, and responded promptly to this issue.

The Petsmart employees are great but I had problems with CARMAH cats, the adoption program that they host in this Petsmart. We adopted a kitten under the false pretense that we were getting a healthy cat that had been looked at by a vet the day before. Their vet must not be very good because as soon as we got home I noticed the kitten had the worst breath I ever smelled, opened its mouth and found sores and infected gums. I took it to a different vet that CARMAH cat works with and found out the kitten had Calici virus, which is highly contagious and a lifelong illness.

Worst petsmart we have been to. Smelled like something has died throughout the entire store. No animals really and staff was all in the back so we didnt even know if we were supposed to be there or if the place was not open for business yet. Overall it was not a very good experience. We will stick to the leominster one going forward.

Convenient location and helpful staff. Usually carries everything we need for our dog. Kids like looking at the fish.
