I hate giving poor review but I find myself upset still two days later and I dont want anyone to experience what I did. On a Tuesday I stopped by this place to order a wreath for the funeral of my friends mother to be laid in the water after the speading of ashes. The staff was friendly and the process went smoothly. Flowers in the shop looked good. I showed them a photo from their website of what I wanted the wreath to look like. They asked when I wanted to pick up and I said as soon as they open Thursday morning (9am) in order to make the 10am service and 11am boat trip to spread the ashes. At 8:55 I arrived so I could get in first thing... by 9:40 no one had arrived, doors were still locked, lights still out! I called my boyfriend so he could come wait and I could leave for the service. Just before hopping in my uber at 9:45 they arrive so I run back to them and explain why Im there and the guy apologizes as if its no big deal. When I remind him WHY I ordered the flowers he simply goes "Ahh yeah, were late today. What time is the service?" Are you kidding me? So I grab the flowers and jump in the car. Looking at the flowers Im absolutely devastated. Looks nothing like what I showed them and the flowers are BROWN on the edges. The pink flowers are so much brighter and inappropriate for the occasion given then familys request. My boyfriend goes back to the shop while Im at the service and explains the issue. They agree to make another one if I return the first wreath. Being that Im at the service, he has to pay out of pocket and later get refunded after meeting me to switch the flowers out before the boat ride. While the guy is making the new wreath hes telling my boyfriend he doesnt understand why Im upset and that he thought the brighter flowers were pretty. Luckily my boyfriend is very diplomatic as I would not have handled the situation as well on an already horrible day. He reminded him that he opened 45 minutes late and only then did he apologize. While the new wreath was closer to what I wanted it was full of bugs and the flowers were still not fresh. I will never use this place again. My daughter was stranded in Charlestown on Christmas due to airline issues. We were not able to get her to join the family and so she had to stay home. All her gifts were with us. I wanted to cheer her up but it was Christmas Eve after noon. I called Bunker Hill Florist and although they were already closed they helpeed me out and delivered a cheer me up Christmas plant. They were terrific, it will make her Christmas.. Service beyond the call of duty..

Called this shop to order flowers for my mother for her birthday. The manager (possibly owner) Joe was very professional and explained my options. The price was right and the order was delivered as promised in a timely manner. I spoke to my mother that morning to say happy birthday, but I got a very emotional call from mom (in a positive way) after the colors of fall roses bouquet was delivered. I sure know I will be calling Joe again. :-)

I am a Charlestown resident and have purchased many flowers from BHF over the years - from single flowers to large bouquets. The staff is always so helpful and the bouquets are creative and always "appropriate" for the occassion. Its a wonderful shop that is way above and beyond any competitors.

Joe went out of his way to get the right flowers for Me. Even recommended that I wait to see if a better batch of a particular rose came in because, he felt the ones from the Market looked a bit "weak". Put a arrangement together and delivered within an hour, Wicked Good Service!
