Normally pretty good customer service at this location (Avon), but not today. In fact, one of the cashiers that wasnt ringing anyone up or doing anything but just standing at the register while another cashier rang me up in another lane showed that she was not in the customer service business. Or least not today. Just there to get her pay check. I was struggling to pay and attempt to clean up my small dogs pee spill at the register at the same time. Knowing that I had intentions to clean up the spill by stating, that I can clean it up before or after I was rung up, this extra cashier that wasnt doing anything or even waiting for anyone in line, instead of helping me clean up the spill as I was trying to check out to help me, she goes and gets the materials to clean up the spill and hands them to me. The spills were in two different areas near the register and she didnt even attempt to help clean either one. While she was not busy doing nothing but looking around. She watched me for a few seconds put down the paper towels then went to stand at the exit door. It was not busy in the front of the store and this was an opportunity to assist a customer that obviously couldve used the extra help, and does provide support to the store by shopping there. This lady should be working in the back stocking shelves or something like that. Not on the floor where customers that shop the store to help keep the store open for business in the community. This goes for the man that rang me up too. As after he rang me up he was at the register doing nothing too. But then walked away after a few seconds too to an area near the registers. He couldve also helped after rang me up. As there was no other customers checking out. Not sure if this was end of the day attitude and want to go home, or thats really not my job attitude. At any rate, poor customer service from these two today.

Chain fish stores are only as good as the people that run them. This one used to have a very good fish section. Now its a disgrace. If the fish store is dirty dont be afraid to about face and walk out

Staff is friendly but I sometimes have to track them down for help. Ive also gone for supplies for my lizard and been frustrated when theyve been out of stock.

Nice and big, but all the fishes I gotten from here died within a week, exchanged at another petco and they are doing well.
