Beware….. I bought a pair of shoes April 13, 2010 at Bridal and Gift (I), supposedly to be dyed to match the mother-of-the-groom dress I had recently purchased there. The wedding was August 8. After three months of many trips back to the store, many different excuses and lies by the store owner, Linda, of why my shoes weren’t ready for me, I finally got them just three weeks before the wedding. Not only do they not match the dress (shoes slightly olive green and dress beige), one shoe is actually two different colors (½ the toe area a deeper olive green)! Absolutely useless to me. Had to buy new ones on line last minute (that match better off the rack than the ones Linda (store owner) dyed. There is no refund even though it’s her error that she botched the shoes, but she said she’ll dye them BLACK for me! Oh God, bless her! Maybe I could have found the opportunity to actually wear these black unwanted shoes IF they were actually black! The shoes are another awful dye job and I can see the old color from under the black coming through! What a waste of time and money! In the meantime, beware of Bridal and Gift (I). I was treated rudely, discourteously by the owner. She was condescending to me and blatantly dishonest to me many times. I would never recommend going there unless you don’t mind being treated that way. I only wish I had read the reviews of Bridal and Gift (I) before I went the first time. It would have saved me a lot of ill-feelings!

Missing out on customer service. The only reason I was involved with this store was that they were able to ship in a sample gown for me to look at in which I could not find anywhere. They got it in and made an appointment. Although this is a great service they provide, when I arrived it all fell apart. I was not greeted for a good 15 minutes, just standing in the lobby area as employees just walked by and made no eye contact. It was extremely disorganized and you feel like youre in an over-stuffed, old closet. I was handed off to several people and by the time I was finally in a dressing room, the consultant didnt even offer to let me try it on. Mind you I had an appointment, they knew why I was coming. After only getting to look at the dress, the consultant said lets go write it up! Whoa... who said anything about me buying it right then and there? Automatically the consultant got a little snippy and for, I swear, the 10th time tried to sell me some vacation package they are always talking about. They totally denied me the wonderful experience of finding the perfect dress and after so many talks about the travel package, it seems they are better suited to be travel consultants than wedding dress consultants.

This is the worst place in the world. You might as well throw your time and money down the toliet. Is is so overprice and the owner Linda is a pathetic excuse as a business owner. She does not answer calls, solve problems, but rather tells customers she is too busy to deal with them because she has to eat lunch. I order a birdcage veil from there that they NEVER called me back for with a quote. Then sent me the wrong veil after weeks of not originally completing the project on time. They lied to my mother-in-law and said they left it at home and tell her later that they just "forgot to do it." When I finally get it in the mail it is nothing we have seen and it is the wrong length, shape, color, style. They will not fix the problem, but rather just hang up on customers. I had to call 3 times and I still dont trust there is a solution. All the other reviews are right. They are just horrible. Please do not waste you breathe! I would rather shop at Walmart (which is just ridiculous for wedding supplies) then these people. They are the bottom of the pit.

If I could give them zero stars I would. First of all the man who works as a receptionist at the front desk was invasive and unhelpful. Even though I had an appointment and there was NO ONE there I had to wait for someone to come and help me. She didnt even introduce herself and just stood there while I had to look through the racks of dresses. There was not one dress there that was even from this century or any recent lines from any of the designers they said they "carry". The store was a mess, and they had no undergarments or slips and the woman helping me didnt even help me put dresses on she just stood and watched, there was absolutely no modestly in the dressing rooms and it made me extremely uncomfortable. Aside from the fact that their selection was horrible, the service was atrocious and buying a wedding dress is supposed to be a fun and relaxing experience. Needless to say I tried on two hideous gowns and left. Save yourself the time, and stay away.

Absolutely wonderful experience. My mother, sister and I worked with Elizabeth and a few other girls. They were all fantastic. Elizabeth knows her stuff and was beyond helpful. She had so many suggestions and ideas for me - Very attentive to all details. I am usually not laid back and am someone that really needs to have things perfectly in place, working with Elizabeth really allowed me to be more relaxed. Each time I have gone to the store has been really enjoyable. I never went anywhere else because I knew within 10 minutes of being there that Bridal and Gift would be the place for me. My dress is top quality that was worth every penny we paid for it. We did pay a lot but its the princess dress of my dreams and I LOVE it! I highly recommend it!

Just bought my wedding dress here and could not have had a nicer experience. First they accepted us warmly as walk ins (and we were a large party of 6+ people! But for the record I would suggest making an appointment) after we had just had a hellish experience at Anas in E. Providence. They were patient, helpful and kind. They did not rush me or make me feel pressured for anything. The owner was wonderful and so sweet. Vanessa was great at helping me see what I liked in dresses and help to navigate me. I was able to find the dress of my dreams thanks to their patience as I finally fell in love with something I wouldnt have thought I would love. I highly recommend them!! It was such a pleasure.

They were extremely kind and acommodating. I didnt have the largest budget and had my heart set on something lacey and they actually went to find something within my budget at two of their storage facilities to find something for me. I tried on five or six dresses but the first one I tried was THE dress. It was exactly what I pictured for my big day! I highly recommend this place. The dresses were beautiful and they are very organized and most of all they made such a big moment in my life just that much more enjoyable. Thank you thank you to Linda and her husband and the rest of the staff. You run a tight ship and youre all great at what you do!! See you guys come alterations time!! :D
