WHO EVER RATED THEM AS AWESOME IS SADLY MISTAKEN! First, we ordered a ring at the Arundel Mills store (even that process we were misinformed of the delivered size), so since we were in the towson area, went to get it resized. However because my ring had side diamonds, they would special order the ring size which was suggested itll arrive in two weeks and they promised to call twice about the status of the ordered ring, in which they never did. When we called it said it would take until 1/26/2011 (mind u this early-mid october of 2010) -THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. They said come back in when the new ring arrives and well exchange however exchange policy is only for 30 days so they were clueless about this fact, or maybe they were and didnt care I would of been without my ring for over 2 months. Anyway we looked online to see if we can order the ring online in the resized size and BINGO! we could and it would arrive in 5 days....big difference than taking it into the store. When we called towson and told them we could order the same ring in the new size online and asked why the difference in arrival dates-no one had a clue, not the associate, not the assistant manager, not the store manager. I completely understand resizing concerns when it comes to side diamonds HOWEVER ordering the ring online and special ordering the ring at store SHOULD NOT BE A 2-3 MONTH DIFFERENCE because this causes an inconvenience with the customer especially in this joyest time. Our entire engagement experience was ruined my the customer service at Jareds. What we ended up doing was ordering the ring online and returning the other ring, this was done in the matter at 4 days and the online customer service was a MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN IN STORE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT BOTH TOWSON AND ARUNDEL MILLS. Dont let them fool into thinking they can only return things *500 and under. This is a complete UNTRUE, ask for a refund debit if purchase was made on bank card, and ask for a credit refund if done with a credit card. DO not accept a check. THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WAS ESCALATED TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU (IT WAS THAT BAD AND TOO MUCH TO TELL IN THIS ONE REVIEW)-BUT I HOPE IT HELPS! *ASSOCIATES DONT CARE ABOUT YOU *MANAGERS ARE CLUELESS ABOUT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES (MOSTLY AT TOWSON NOT SO MUCH ARUNDEL MILLS) *THEY DONT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS *THEY DONT CALL BACK WHEN THE SAY THEY WILL *THEY DONT TAKE OWNERSHIP * AND C. RUPE of corporate customer service did not do this experience any justice. Even when a BBB complaint is filed, they dont answer questions, they ignore requests for reimbursement (not even stating why), they still dont know about their own policies and procedures...and simply put they just dont care. word of advice: buy from somewhere else, not KAY cause its the same company BUT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM

I would also give Jared a zero if I could. We received the worst customer service from every employee we came in contact with once our sale was completed. When my engagement ring and wedding band were purchased the salesperson failed to mention that if the rings needed to be sized they would have to be special ordered. When I took the rings in to be sized it was then I was told the rings would need to be special ordered AND it would take 3 months. They said they put a rush on it and we would receive a call back from Anita the store manager in a few days. This was one of about a dozen promised call backs that we never received. When the ring finally came in it was the WRONG ring and the wedding band was NEVER special ordered. Every time we called the store to try to get the situation resolved we spoke to a different person and had to explain over and over again. Each person said they would look into it and call us back. We never received one call back. We finally decided to return the rings because at this point with the poor customer service we received we had no faith in Jared that they would ever get it right. We were then told that we could not return the rings because it was after 30 days and we would need approval from Jared corporate office. We called the corporate office and after many calls back and forth they allowed us to return the rings. When we took the rings back the store manager could not even be bothered to take a moment of her time to try to attempt to make the situation right. She passed us on to another salesperson. Our engagement was ruined by the lack of consideration by the employees of Jared. DO NOT BUY FROM JARED.

My boyfriend specifically wanted to take me to Jareds to look at engagement rings, so we made the trip over an hour to Towson to go to Jareds. We stood in the store a good 3 or 4 mins until someone even acknowledged us. Then, 5 minutes later when the saleswoman finally came over to us, she was terrible & SO unhelpful! I told her the kind of ring I like and she sat there just LOOKING at me and did not pull any rings to show me based on what I told her I liked. I had to point out the rings I wanted to look at the whole time. When I asked if a certain ring was considered pave she rudely replied "that IS pave" in a very snappy way. The only time she smiled and was nice was when my boyfriend asked her questions. I was shocked at how inappropriate she was being, trying to flirt with a guy when hes looking at engagement rings with his girlfriend sitting right next to him! Although we found a very beautiful ring at Jareds my boyfriend and I agreed that my engagement ring will definitely NOT be purchased from there. I had been looking forward to visiting their store but I surely will never go back again.

This is absolutely the worst Jared I have ever been to and it would not let me rate it at a ZERO star. For the 2nd time in the last 16 months, I have had my Tissot watched there for service. I realize that they send this out to get done, but it is inexcusable to have the watch not worked on for weeks after we called repeatedly to give authorization to do the work. NO compensation was offered, and even worse, I am without a watch for an additional 2 weeks due to their lapse in communication within the store when I would have though a loaner watch would have been warranted at this point. THREE phone calls and no return call, yet the 4th call resulted in what we thought was the watch being worked on, only come to find out that this was not the case. Last year this occurred and 4 weeks went by without any work being done. I WILL NEVER go to this store again and I hope that others read this review and dont go either.

Horrible customer service. Took my ring to have a repair which was passed down from a family member. The prong needed to be fixed. Two weeks later the diamond on the side became loose. Took the ring back to have them repair the same prong, go to pick up my ring and they told me it needed to be shipped out to be repaired. Which this would take 2-3 months. They told me during the repair of the prong they cracked my center sapphire stone. The store sent the ring to a vendor without my permission nor having a appraisal. I asked for the distract managers number they told me they werent allowed to give that out. The manager was so rude and had a horrible attitude. Its not like this ring can be replaced since its a family heirloom. Do not buy from jareds this is a warning more then anything! And yes... this horrible service was from the towson location.
