Nearly 30 years of home ownership in DC as this has got to be one of the worst experiences. Bought a fridge and a range. Post- installation, we discover the fridge didnt fit--despite pre-installation measurement being one of ABWs big selling points. We waited several weeks--and paid $1000 more--to get a fridge that did fit. But that was the easy part. The new range was installed over 10 weeks ago and it is still not working. Leaking gas and broken stove knobs were supposed to be repaired by their guys--but instead they broke the oven so the range is unusable. It sits in my kitchen waiting for a promised replacement. While the sales guy has been very diligent and patient (the only reason for two stars), the managers are worthless. Dont return calls and give you the run around. This place has really gone downhill since when we used them in the past.

If you like your kitchen… DO NOT EVER USE Appliance Builders Wholesalers for service. They came out to service my Bosch dishwasher and in the process, they put a big gash in one of my cabinets, scratched my floor and to boot they didnt screw the kick plate back in. Im a long time customer of theirs and have purchased high end appliances for two kitchens now… but I wont be going back again. When I called them they said they would look into it and call me back. As if they were going to ask the service tech if he damaged my kitchen as opposed to coming out and looking at it. I am still waiting for a response a year later! just to repeat… DO NOT EVER USE Appliance Builders Wholesalers they are terrible and will destroy your kitchen!

I will use ABW again and I recommend them. I talked to ABW in their Arlington store first on a Sunday, and then their repair tech came out last Friday to my home in McLean and repaired a downdraft vent and one of my dishwashers. Luis, the technician, was experienced, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing.
