On August 18, 2012 I purchased a 2006 Dodge Magnum from Sales Rep. Kevin Campbell with a down payment of $3,475 bu check (originally $3,500 but $25 was deducted due to a nonfunctional lighter) leaving me with a balance over $13,000. On September 9th my car cut off on me in the middle of an intersection as I was making a left turn. I took it to the Ourisman Dodge of Alexandria on September 10th and was informed that my PCM board was bad and needed to be replaced and I also had dirty transmission fluid. On September 10th I begin calling Sherwood of Salisbury financial department asking if I should get it fixed or return it to them to get it fixed and for several days my call was not returned. I discovered that the finance person was out of town so she was unable to return my calls. By September 18th I was finally able to speak with the sales rep who first tried to tell me that it was pass the 30 day warranty but that was resolved since it was discovered I had been trying to contact them with the problem before the 30 days. I verbally explained what the mechanics informed me of at Ourisman and I was told to bring the car in and it the problem was something the warranty covered it would be fixed. After taking them my car (Im almost 100 miles South of the dealership) they conformed the problem and in formed me that although the problem is making the car turn off it wasnt something related to the engine or transmission so they would not cover it. I then asked if they knew this was a problem before they sold me the car and they informed me that they do not perform diagnostic test on their cars so they wouldnt have known this. I ask about the check points review list they guarantee with the car and I was informed that it was in the archives and they could not provide it to me at the time. Its kind of hard for me to believe that a dealership would place a car on the lot without performing a diagnostic test to make sure everything is okay before selling it. I was informed that I now had to pay over $600 in addition to the $3,475 I paid less than 30 days before the problem to fix this problem.

While visiting at Sherwood Dodge in Salisbury Maryland. I noticed that they are unfriendly. Also while visiting I overheard a man arguing because they had lost his keys also a man went in for the oil change, and while doing his or change they found a recall on his truck. After they fix his recall they could not move his truck his front wheels had locked up. when they told the guy about his truck he say how long would it be for them to fix it he noted that he been there since 9 AM and by this time it was 4 PM they said the mechanic that had worked on the vehicle has went home for the day and that his car would have to stay overnight. The lady that worked at Sherwood Dodge was so rude that when he asked for a rental car she said we do not do that we can get a shuttle to take you home but he is a hour out. So I offered to take The guy home. I was there getting my AC fixed they told me that the AC wasnt working properly because of the sun sensor. It took them five hours to even look at my truck after they so-called fix the problem that AC still did not work. After I told him that the AC was not working they looked at it again and found out that the bling door was stuck! They could not fix it that same day so I had to bring it back the next day while bringing it back the lady told me that they would not charge me since it was their fault for not fixing it the first time but of course she was not there on that particular day so they made a big fuss about me telling them that she said it would be free! I think this dealership is so unprofessional and needs a lot of help first starting with mechanics then management staff than front desk!

In fairness to the dealership, I never visited nor had any interaction with the supervisory leadership in order to give them the chance to rectify my complaint. Im writing about an interaction with the internet sales team in regards to an online advertisement for one of their used cars. In my opinion, they are dishonest in their advertisements, specifically the online price; A $14,600 truck online turned into an over $16,000 final price due to a $1200++ "reconditioning fee and state inspection". I asked the sales rep what this $1200 fee covers, and he said a multi-point inspection, oil change and cleaning. I countered that if you want to sell the vehicle, you need to do those things anyway (and are required to have a current inspection by law), so why am I paying separate/extra for this?? To advertise an attractive price and hide their "extras" (profit) in the "fine print". Classic. The whole conversation felt oily, slimy etc. My advice: Steer clear! This is "old school" dealership b.s. that hopefully internet reviews will expose and eliminate. People expect to buy a used car from a dealership that is inspected, safe and ready for the road. Otherwise they wouldnt buy it.. If indeed a $1200 state inspection is valid, then build that into the price; to hide it in the fine print is "baiting", and reasonable, intelligent people will steer clear from these shady tactics.

Saturday my wife and I walk in and ask about getting a new Jeep Renegade in stick. Tell the sales lady this is what we are looking for and that we would like to take one on a test drive. She tells my wife and I that she does not have one on the lot but that she would let us know if she could get one in for us to test. I tell her "ok let me know when you get one in I will bring a check in and do the deal". Wednesday still no call back so I call her. She informs me that she can not get one in. I ask her so how am I to test drive the vehicle if they will not get one in? She said "We can get one in you just have to buy it". Seriously they want me to buy a car to test drive it. I told her that she had lost her mind if she thinks that I am going to buy a car to test drive it. To that she said I should go test drive one at another dealer then come back and she will order the one we want. I ask to talk to sales manager. She says "no". Really what is wrong with these people. I bought my last car from them and it was the last car I will buy from them. END LINE!

First experience with this dealership was weird. I went in with the intention of purchasing a vehicle and I did, but the first sales person I dealt with was not in the mood to deal with me. The second time around I made the purchase and was hit on by multiple employees from the time I test drove the vehicle to the time I signed the last of the paper work. This last time I went to purchase a Jeep Wrangler. Saturday evening my husband and I were quoted $24,900 and then saw the internet price of $23.670. This morning (9/28/2015) I called to start the necessary paper work and found out that the price was no longer $23,670/$24,900 but now $28,900. All employees from Patrick (manager of the USED lot) to the Manager and finance persons were rude and hateful. I dont normally like to blast people, and fully understand that everyone has a bad day but darn it, I was lied to, and then treated like crap. This dealership was very unprofessional. I have never been more ashamed to have purchased a vehicle from this group than I am at this very moment.
