Best customer service in the state. Having been to United Gun Shop several times I have seen: 1) A cadre of Turkish Diplomats come into the store with no paperwork, no carry permit muzzle, an employee in the store with knock of Berettas. The employee immediately stripped the gun down. However, they also treated them very respectfully and nicely educated them. They weren’t hostile, they weren’t direct and mean. In the world of guns where people fall in the spectrum of the second coming of gun Jesus to mall ninja extraordinaire that is an amazing behavior to see. Granted you can tell when they’re being nice to save face and be respectful it’s far better than some gun shops whom have no problems cursing at you for not being the most knowledgeable person on the planet. 2) Maryland state police didn’t have my gun caliber listed on the roster. I screwed that up because I didn’t check the roster myself. It was also for sale from the distributor United Gun Shop uses. I purchased from a third party who caught the error and contacted United Gun Shop. Mind you, their only profit from this would be my FFL fee, nothing else. They contacted Maryland State Police for me, setup a petition and worked on getting it approved for me and held the gun at no charge until it is approved. They coordinated all of this by e-mail and responded amazingly fast every step of the way. 3) Prices- Dead average (mind you I’m comparing to shooters in Mt. Airy) due to several factors I noticed. However their consignment guns are priced right, it’s just new that can be an issue. However unlike other gun shops as well they would rather you FFL transfer in than lose your business entirely. They will be the first to tell you to buy online and transfer in to the store. This is a notably nice behavior. All in all, I think these guys can make themselves best shop in the area if they can bring prices to near online prices. Which may be impossible given their business structure. As a business owner I also think some customer communication workshops would be awesome. Why? Well they obviously know how to talk to customers but it seems they’ve picked it up from experience all on their own. Knowing how the pros do it can help push you to that next level of customer service that’s phenomenal. Either way I don’t think it’s a critical issue these guys need.

Went into United Gun Shop located in Rockville, MD today and looked over some firearms. Ask a lot of question and these guys were very polite and professional to the highest levels that one would expect. Cory, one of the sales guys explained all the pros and cons about each firearm that I was inquiring about. He knew and had all the correct answers to all of my question. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking to purchase a firearm or just trying to figure out what you are interested in. For me, they seem to have all the correct answers I was looking for. If I could rate them a ten (10) I surely would have. Great store, nice inventory, new or used firearms. Reasonably priced on all supplies. I will return if I need another firearm. Keep up the great work guys and I am glad to see that there are gun dealers/sellers out there who still care about the customers. D. S.

Great modern gun store. Its about time there is a gun store that encourages online ordering. A lot of times they can even beat major online gun store prices. If they cant, they are more than happy to do the transfer for you and will treat you as good as if you bought the gun from them. Great nice people. Great selection of used guns. Fair selection of new guns onsite but it better than having guns priced 20% over msrp . They do practically have an unlimited selection on their website. If you order a gun on their website you pay $15 shipping + tax and your order is at the store in 3-4 days no hidden fees. Their online data base pulls from 6 distributors making prices even lower than big box stores. Very great business plan and nice employees.

Its a very good shop overall. The guys know their stuff and are generally helpful as can be. I have also sold consignment rifles. This is a good service for the fee and I appreciate they keep these rifles in a separate part of the shop because I do enjoy dropping in and seeing whats available. A bit of helpful feedback - In one case I bought a used gun and there was a new one of the same model for the same price. The old model is a good shooter but its nothing special. I would have preferred to look at both models before finalizing my choice. Only I didnt find out about the new model until my next visit to pick up another rifle a few days later. Still a solid shop and I will be back to buy again.

Ive always believed that the best way you measure customer service is to do so when things dont go as planned, as anyone can do a decent job if everything goes well. Well with my transaction I realized a day after I placed the order that the caliber of weapon I selected would have limited reasonably priced ammunition available. I let the guys know and they immediately changed my order and they ate the restocking fee along with it. Mind you this was all my fault, and they immediately made it right. Who says customer service is dead? Not at United Gun Shop!

I found their website looking for a gun shop near College Park MD, the website is great and you can get good prices when they order your gun. As for the gun shop itself, it is the cleanest most well lit shop I came across which made purchasing a firearm not feel uncomfortable in any way. I had kids with me both times and feel very comfortable having them their. The staff is very friendly and even chatted my kids up. Not important to a purchase but I give them brownie points for it. I will be doing all my business thru them for the foreseeable future.

This is a great shop with very knowledgeable, friendly and patient staff who take the time to help you out whether on the phone or in store. Their online prices are far better than the other two shops in the area, Atlantic Guns and Engage Armament both of whom usually provide straight MSRP. With United Gun Shop think Buds Gun Shop prices! They also have the friendliest FFL transfer process compared to the other two and welcome your transfer business. I highly recommend them as a first stop for local firearm and supply purchases.

The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The establishment caters to both the experienced gun owner and the novice. If they dont have an item, they make the effort to get it. I particularly liked the manner in which they treated my wife as she was going through the process of purchasing her first firearm. The staff was patient with her questions, listened to her concerns, and offered workable solutions. United Gun Shop "does it right."
