I needed to pick up a new bike pump to inflate the tires of our jogging stroller and our older sons new push bike (both of which have very low clearance). I called ahead and the folks at Arrow went and checked their pumps and said they thought they had a few that would work - but recommended I bring down the stroller just to be sure. I brought the stroller in about 1/2 hour later, and about 3 minutes after I got there the tires were inflated and I owned a new pump - perfect! Just to make things more awesome, I overheard a couple of the sales guys talking to an older woman who was looking to buy a bike to help her build up muscle after getting a hip replacement. At first she wanted to just grab a bike and go - but the Arrow guys nicely explained that a bike really needs to fit properly. The woman was visibly nervous - she hadnt ridden a bike in years she explained. I think she thought that shed need to test ride all the bikes in front of everyone and thats shed be wobbling and falling over - poor lady! The Arrow guys were total professionals and really went the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and walk her through the whole process so she could get a bike that really suited her. It was really sweet to see!

Arrow Bicycles is the neighborhood bike shop for all of metro DC. The sales and service are both highly recommended, and after shopping around and patronizing many shops in the DC area I know I have found the one I will keep going back to. The staff will treat you the same if you are shopping for tubes for the beater you got on Craigslist, looking for a new commuter, or ready to upgrade to a new carbon fiber road racing rig. They have a great range of bikes both in price and types (road, mountain, commuter, etc). If they dont have it in stock, you bet they will hunt it down for you. The service there is excellent as well. If you need a flat repaired, a tune-up, whatever they will give you great quality and value. Check out Arrow for all your bike needs. The advice and service there is beyond anything I have experienced at any other shop in the DC area.

Sometimes its worth the drive. I live in Northern Virginia and had no issues with driving to Hyattsville for my 2016 Giant Anthem X 29er. Had to special order the MTB, they were out of stock in all of the DC Metro area. Arrow sent me email status of were the MTB was and expected ETA. Never had to ask, Arrow was always proactive. Once I arrived the MTB was already built and generally sized to my HT/WT. Within 5 minutes I was off for my first ride on the trail across the street. Upon my return we worked together to fine tune and they offered more expert advice about suspension setup. I needed a few other odds and ends and the prices were extremely reasonable. I also had a few issues with my TRI Bike that they corrected "on the house". Very generous, Im grateful. Dont miss the boat, always choose Arrow Bicycle. Highest recommendation.

This is a stellar bike shop. I bought a new bike here a couple months ago and love it. They were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I went and shopped around a little before I bought it and had such miserable experiences everywhere else that I couldnt wait to get back and buy a bike from them. Plus it is a fantastic bike.Not to mention, I can walk here from my house which makes getting my bike tuned up a breeze. My boyfriend and I brought his bike here for a major tune up and they got it done the same day. He says his bike rides like new. Lets keep this shop in business!

Was at Arrow both on a weekday and weekend to look, ride, and purchase a bike. Im an older rider who hadnt ridden in years. Owner always had time to answer questions, allow test rides, compare with other bikes, show accessories, etc. Never felt rushed or received anything other than the highest courtesy. Shop was open, clean, bright, and well organized. Been to other bike shops in the past but this was the best consumer bike service I ever received. Bought and very happy with my bike and experience at Arrow. Well done gents and highest grades!

Until I went to arrow, I never really felt comfortable at bike stores. The guys at Arrow dont act snooty, aloof, or too busy to help you: they just love biking and love spreading it to as many people as possible, whether by helping beginners buy the right bike or inviting more serious riders on group rides. Im a slightly serious rider who has lived in DC for 3 years now, and Arrow is by far the best. Even if If you dont live in Northeast DC or near Hyattsville, go there anyway. Youll be glad you did.

Excellent, friendly, and very honest service! My daughter and I stopped by with her bike, which had been sitting in our shed unused for about 7 years. I thought it would need new tires and new inner tubes, full tune up, the works! They added air to the tires, and they held! They straightened the handlebar, told her to take it home and enjoy it. She bought herself a new vented helmet, so she wont have to share. Very pleased and grateful! Highly recommended!!!

I had a fabulous buying experience at Arrow Bicycle! All the staff was super knowledgeable and helpful, I got to take several bikes out on long test rides on street, hills, park, etc, and there was no pressure to buy. When I did buy a bike the price was great and came with 2 free tune-ups and a flat tire repair when I need them, and they attached my lights for me too. Yay!

I was so pleased to see that there is a new bike shop in Hyattsville and even happier to find that the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, something you dont always find in bike shops. These guys know their stuff and are not too cool to share some helpful hints and chatter with you. Great guys, reasonable prices and located right next to an awesome trail. Check them out.

100% 100% 100% all the way! Im only 15 and they fixed three problems on my mountain bike for $74.00 my chain was bent. the wire connected to the rear 6 speed gear thing they fixed. the only thing is that I went close to closing time so I had to pick it up the next day but still 100% great place cool quick and easy. I recommended it to everyone take it from a 15 year old

I came here a few minutes before they closed up and needed a new tire for my Foldable Stowabike. They changed it much faster than I expected and gave me a fair deal on the parts/labor. Arrow Bicycle is heavily recommended to all. Great service, great location and knowledgeable staff

I recently bought a bike here and they did a great job of helping me get what I wanted, did not over sell me and educated me about my options. Also, they dont have the horrible attitude often found in other bike shops. Totally cool people selling good bikes at a good price.
