1 review 1.0 star rating 12/12/15 I bought a car from them about a week ago. The actual purchase experience was pleasant. I left the shop thinking that I would return for all future car purchases. There were a few things I was not thrilled with, particularly the $300 dealership fee, which they will not explain what its for exactly, but it was something I could live with, so I let it slide. This dealership fee is outside of the standard tags & titles fees. We also split the cost of new tires for my vehicle since one of the tires had some dry rot, which I really appreciated. I traded in a older car with higher mileage and the check engine light on for $500, which I found acceptable, all things considered. But, after a business day they asked me to bring in the title, which is a reasonable request, but I could not find it. I took the car in on Monday, and let them know that I could not find it, but I could double check. They had me sign a form so that the MVA could release my title to them. There was no mention of a $20 fee. It was not until Tuesday that Amber called me to tell me that I would need to pay $20 to get the title. I told her I would double check. I went through all my paperwork and had my mom check at her house, but we could not find it. I was not able to get back to her until Saturday, due to being extra busy with end-of-year stuff at work. During this call, I notified Amber that I was not able to find the title, and she asked me what I wanted to do about the fee. My exact words were "I would prefer not to pay it, since I feel like you guys got enough of my money". At this point, she put me on hold, and unbeknownst to me transferred me to the "manager", I believe his name was Mike, but I am not sure. The reason I am not sure is because this man proceeded to yell at me, telling me I had to produce the title or the $20. I calmly told him how I felt about the dealership fee and asked for an itemized explanation of that fee. He told me that it was something that Maryland charges (which is not true, since the contract I signed stated that it was not legally required by Maryland, I had never had to pay a fee of that amount to any prior dealership, where I had purchased my other vehicles, and an online search reveals is something that dealership charge to cover various charges from advertising, to filing fees and so forth). This man continued to yell at me, repeating himself and kind of threateningly asked me why I was upset. At this point, I had to yell over him that I was not upset and had at no point refused to pay the fee, I had simply said that I preferred not to. This was an incredibly upsetting experience and I want everyone to know how these people treat their customers. I have never been so disrespected by someone I do/have done business with. This is actually the first review I have ever written about anything because I am so upset by the way I was treated by this man. If Amber had just come back and said I spoke to my manager and he said no, I would have said okay and made arrangements to pay those funds. Instead I was berated and disrespected. Also, I just found out the fee to get a copy of a title is actually $9.00 for non-certified or $12.00 for certified. MVA Records Certified Copies $12.00 Non-certified Copies $9.00 (includes driving records, vehicle registration, title files and licensing documents) These people are thieves! Stay away from them!

I was in the market for a C6 Corvette. I began to search the internet looking for a bargain. This would be my third Corvette. I had already owned in the past a 2001 C5 Corvette which I purchased used in 2003 and a 2005 C6 Corvette which I purchased NEW in 2006 so I was / am familiar with the line of automobile. With the things I have going on currently I knew I was not ready to go out and buy a 2017 brand new C7 Corvette so I began to search pre-owned. I looked everywhere within a hundred mile radius from Virginia thru Maryland to Pennsylvania and I found quite a few deals all over. Some with more options than others. I wanted to really buy from a Maryland dealer because that is where I reside so I knew the Maryland inspection would already be completed. While searching, one of the locations that I found was Krietz Auto Sales which showed they had multiple choices of Corvette C7’s and C6’s along with many other brand of vehicles. I was hesitant because I have always bought my vehicles from a big dealer and I could tell they were not a big dealer from the online picture. After thinking about it I decided to take the 75 mile ride Krietz auto Sales to at least say I went there to see what was good. To my surprise (I have never been to Frederick, MD) there was not a hoopty / beat down vehicle on the lot. All the vehicles where nice and clean. The Corvette that I drove out to see in particular was just sold but wow there were plenty of others. I looked around, test drove a 2016 Camaro V6 convertible with 1500 miles (still new). The car was beautiful but I still wanted the C6 Corvette. I test drove and then bought a 2011 Black Corvette LT2 with 10000 miles from Krietz auto Sales that very day. I just love the car. My wife loves the car. My sales person was Bryce Ballard and he was /is very professional, helpful and polite. My buying experience at Krietz was exceptional. The couch in the waiting area will most definitely put you to sleep (so comfortable) and if you are a lucky as I was the Owner “Charlie Krietz” just may randomly walkup, introduce himself, start talking and shake your hand as he did mine. Would I buy from Krietz Auto Sales again? “YES”. Would I recommend to others? “YES”. GREAT atmosphere! GREAT Staff!! GREAT inventory!!! GREAT facility!!!! GO KRIETZ AUTO SALES!!!!!

I spent 3 months searching myriad websites looking for the car i wanted in the configuration i had decided on. For me, Car Gurus and Autotrader offered the best search engines. They both ultimately led me to Krietz Auto of Frederick Maryland. At first I was unsure of this dealership because they were not a franchise name but an independent dealership. But after doing much research I found that they were a 3+ decade long dealership located in western Maryland. And what a dealership! If you are looking for an high end performance car or truck, then they have what your looking for. Not just performance cars but the models that are the 10% we all dream about. And dozens of them. Once I had made the decision that this was the place, with the vehicle I wanted, I contacted them and was fortunate enough to be paired up with Lisa Hildebrand. She guided me through every step of my journey. I spoke with her so many times on the phone that Im sure the various receptionists knew my name as a returning caller before i could even offer it to them. Lisa worked tirelessly to help answer all my questions and provide me with all the right answers. Ultimately this concluded with my wife and I arriving the night before we were to pick up our car in Frederick. The following Saturday morning at 830a.m. we arrived at the dealership, completed remaining paperwork, inspected the car , and finally took possession of our beautiful Corvette. And as a wonderful touch, my wife was presented with the keys that were held in a magic treasure chest while the staff at Krietz Auto welcomed us into their family by applauding and individually congratulating us. Ive been buying vehicles since 1978 and this was without a doubt the most pleasant experience Ive ever been a part of. If youre in the market for a ultra-premium vehicle please contact Krietz Auto in Frederick Maryland and ask for Lisa Hildebrand. Let her help you find your treasure chest like she did for us.
