1/27/2016 - Im putting my review on a couple sites so that I ensure it gets to as many people as possible: Initial process of purchasing a vehicle was great...maybe because I purchased the vehicle with cash and was willing to take on the responsibility of the taxes, title, and tags myself. I purchased a vehicle at the end of November and to date (January 26, 2016), still have not received the title for a cash purchase, and it wasnt until January 21, 2016, that I receive the tags and registration (a service that I did not ask for). At the end of December 2015, I called to inquire about the title and tags and received a call 2 days later from "Yvette" who told me that she overnighted the tags and told me she was familiar with the process for purchasing an instate vehicle, but wondered if I knew what the process was for a title when the vehicle was purchased from an out of state buyer - was the title sent to the financial institution or sent to the owner. Seriously??? I paid cash for the vehicle and when I informed her of this she indicated a mistake had been made on the title. I told her the title should be sent directly to me at which time she indicated she would have to consult with her manager. The following day I received a call from "Yvette" who told me that her manager wanted the title to go to the financial institution so that they could handle it - Nothing like making others correct the mistakes that this company has made. I informed Yvette that the managers decision to forward the title to the financial institution was unacceptable and wanted a call back immediately about was what going to be done. Needless to say, 4 weeks later, I still have no title. Without the title, I cannot pay for my taxes, register my vehicle in the town in which I live in, etc. I called Hi-Lo again on January 21, 2016 and asked to speak with "Yvette" or "Joe "the sales representative" and was informed that Yvette was out of the office. I was given no excuse as to where "Joe" was, but asked to speak to the owner. I was informed that my message would be passed along to the owners wife...and to date (January 26, 2016), I have not received a call from ANYONE. Since I was made aware of this vehicle through the USAA car buying service, I plan on informing them of these unfortunate events, and asking them to remove Hi-Lo as a reputable car buying service. The behavior that this company has displayed is inexcusable and should be not tolerated by anyone! I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!! There is no option for less than a 0 rating which is the only reason they are getting 1 star! 1/29/2016 - A quick update on my car buying experience with Hi Lo. As promised in my last review, I did contact USAA, and they were all over my complaint to the point that the reached out to Hi Lo to find out what was going on with my title. Hi Lo gave some sorry ass excuse that they HAD to submit my title to my financial institution because there was a block on the back of the cashiers check that needed to be completed and returned to the bank. Seriously???? It was a cashiers check...vehicle was paid in full, addressed to Hi Lo with my signature. There was no auto loan - the simple fact of the matter is Hi Lo messed up by putting my banks information on the titIe which indicated that I had a loan on the vehicle - plain ignorance and they couldnt own up to their mistake!!!! USAA was also interested in the fact that Evette Talley (correct spelling now) had no idea how to process a title to an out-of-state owner - something that this company should know how to do since theyre so close to PA, VA, and DC!!! Something so easy and simple - since I paid for the vehicle in cash!!!!! This company did all they could do to lie to USAAs representative. Thankfully I was able to clarify their lies and tell USAA the real story, Hi Lo is now being watched very carefully by USAA, and my concerns are being escalated to top management at USAA. I hope not telling the truth was worth it Hi Lo!!!!! Again, Im giving one star and they dont even deserve that!!!

I had a great experience purchasing my new (used) car here. I actually found the car online, submitted an inquiry and one of their representatives, Mark, emailed me promptly to ask if I had any questions. I live over an hour away from the location, so I had my my stop in to see if she could test drive the vehicle. When she stopped by, the car was at another one of their locations, but Dylan told her that they could have the car there the next morning so I could stop by and test drive. I showed up the next morning around 10:00am and sure enough, the car was there and Dylan was ready to help me. The car was just as it appeared online, had low mileage and seemed like a fair price. They even accepted my trade-in with over 200k miles and were willing to match the trade-in offer I received from another dealer! The paper work process was painless and they gave me a complete breakdown of the total "out the door" price. When I finally was out the door, I sat in the car and notice a sizeable crack down the windshield that I somehow missed during the test drive. Well damn, I thought. But when I went back inside and pointed out the issue, Dylan, his manager Craig, and the service guy were all more than helpful and apologetic and guaranteed they would get it fixed. The service guy followed up 1st thing Monday morning to schedule the repair. Also, during this entire car buying experience, my 1 year old toddler was with me! Dylan was patient as I transferred the car seat for the test drive. When we got back to the office for paper work, he even brought my son some crayons and a coloring book. Another guy in the office brought him a car to play with. They all did their best to make us both very comfortable and it was much appreciated. 5 stars! Thank you!

I was very happy to get a new car however I did not realize getting a new car was a nightmare. I purchased the car from high and low less then 5 months ago I was told the car had no accidents and was fine I was even given a piece of paper from the sales rep Matt that stated there was no accidents. During the time of owning within the first month I noticed the car shaking on the highway I called and complained about it. Once the car started having other problems I took the car in to find out the axel was broken. The repairs were over a grand and I was told I was out of warranty to my surprise which I only had the car for 5 months. They refused to repair anything so I took the car to car max to do a trade in and they informed me that the car was in a accident. They showed me the vehicle information and long and behold it was the front axle that was broken. I talked to the owner "Bo" who refused to fix it even after I had the paper work showing that they sold me the car like that. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM this place. They are a fradulant SCAM. Please do not waste your money on any of their products so you dont have to go through what I had to.
