I made two purchases with Diamond Castle, the first was my wifes engagement ring, which to be perfectly honest was 5 years ago. The first time I came to pick up the ring the diamond was set at a weird angle and not centered at all...one of the owners tried to convince me that it was straight and just looked crooked. I told him to fix it ASAP, he seemed annoyed but agreed. A week later I come back and the same thing again, crooked and trying to convince me otherwise. This time, a Susan that sold me the ring, tried to convince me it was straight to. Regardless, I had a trip to make that week to propose to my now wife,. so i had to take the ring with the crooked-set diamond. Everyone I showed the ring to could plainly see it was crooked...and in fact, because it was set so poorly it kept snagging on her clothes and caused her to tear a sweater. So we took it back and got the same treatment as before...even ruder this time. The person I believe to be the younger brother said to me "What do you want me to do about it?"...rude and ridiculous to even ask. Despite the bad experience we went back and bought her wedding ring there, much to my reluctance, but she wanted to make sure the wedding ring exactly matched the engagement ring. So we went back and bought her wedding ring there. The first time picking this ring up, just as I expected, the clearly got the design wrong. The diamonds werent set in the same pattern and fashion at all. So I again had to come back and pick it up weeks later. Finally we picked it up and were satisfied with it, until a week passed and a couple of the smaller diamonds fell out. Again, we went back and they told me the smaller diamonds are "hard to set" and it happens (really..after 1 week?) A couple years ago my wife took it in there to clean it and a couple more diamonds fell out upon getting home from the jeweler. This past week she the bottom of the band, presumably where they size it, split apart...there is actually a gap at the bottom of her ring. We both agreed we no longer trusted Diamond Castle at all, and took it to a jeweler in Livonia. The jeweler, who said he is hesitant to ever bad mouth another jeweler, said he couldnt understand what they did the ring and why. Where they resized it, they had mixed in platinum and some other foreign metal to put it back together....the ring is supposed to be all 14kt gold! He said the way they soderized the diamonds back in was as sloppy as he had every seen...as the metal was overflowing and covering up some of the diamonds (which we already knew, but Diamond Castle isnt exactly helpful or reputable as their 50 something positive reviews would make you think). So we are paying a little money to another jeweler to fix their hack job. My wife is pregnant and I plan on getting her a third band that matches these two, and we will be going to them with our jewelry needs from now on! Diamond Castle has been very good at getting a few dozen family and friends to leave positive reviews on here...but dont be fooled...they are anything but trustworthy, helpful, or even worth the time of considering. Oh...and if anyone is wondering why i waited so long to post this review...its because 1) I was worried about backlash in case my wife came back in with ring problems, but now we have agreed to pay another jeweler rather than their follow up services 2) With the band breaking last week, and her trip to the new jeweler who pointed out the massive flaws and shoddy repair work Diamond Castle did, it really reignited my anger with all they did 3) I finally realized that any reputable and decent jeweler can make a replica of the two bands she currently has, so i dont need to worry about relying on Diamond Castle ever again...nor do the many people I have since steered away.

I have been shopping for an engagement ring for my girlfriend for the past few weeks. I had been to three mall stores and four independent stores before coming to Diamond Castle, and I have to say that Diamond Castle blew away all of the competition. Not only did they have an inventory at least twice the size of almost all of the other stores, Kevin (one of the owners) showed more knowledge of diamonds and jewelry than any of the other people I had worked with in the other stores. I told him what style of ring I was looking for and what my budget was, and within minutes he pulled out the perfect setting and diamond that I was looking for. I came in the store at about 6:15 on a Friday evening and my ring was set and ready by 1:30 Saturday afternoon. Diamond castle also provided me with the EGL certification, and the appraisal for my ring. Perhaps one of the best things was that the ring appraised for $1,200 more than what I paid for it! I had found a ring in a mall store that was very similar to the ring I bought from Diamond Castle, but the mall store had it price almost double of what I paid. This was also the only store where someone showed me the Rapaport chart for diamond prices to show me that I truly was getting the best possible deal on my diamond. They also said that because I spent a certain amount on the ring, I could pick out mens wedding band from a certain selection for free when my fiancee and I come back to get our bands. I can not say enough good things about Diamond Castle in Novi. Skip the other stores out there and come straight here. You will be getting the best possible deal, the owners are experts in diamonds and jewelry, and if they dont have what youre looking for in their huge selection, they can order it or custom make it for you.

Diamond Castle Jewelers is absolutely wonderful. I am originally from Michigan, but currently living in northern Florida. When my Fiancé and I began searching for a jeweler to make the custom ring we had designed, we traveled all over, from L.A., Atlanta, and Boston. Having worked in a jewelry store (and a maker of jewelry, myself) I must admit, I am very picky, especially when it came to my own engagement ring. Before we went to Diamond Castle, we had actually provided a significant down payment to a boutique jeweler in Atlanta to commission the ring. Upon visiting Michigan, my mother insisted I should at least go look at Diamond Castle (despite the payment we had already made), because she had heard so many wonderful things about them. Needless to say, after meeting with Kevin Ansara and his family at Diamond Castle, my Fiancé and I absolutely wanted to continue working with him. Honestly, what made the decision very easy for us was the feeling that Kevin and his family were those rare individuals in the jewelry business that you really could trust. It gave both of us a sense of relief knowing they would do whatever it was they could, to make you happy. I can’t tell you enough, how wonderful this family-run store is, their knowledge, expertise, craftsmanship, quality, and cost. No matter how many times I had called, or how many changes I made to the ring, I always received a very patient, jovial call back. They made my experience truly amazing, and as picky as I am, I didn’t think that was possible. Despite residing in Florida, I will be purchasing all of my jewelry at Diamond Castle. I can’t thank Kevin and his family, enough. They truly went above and beyond all of my expectations.
