I would not pawn any items at this place. They are thieves. My husband pawned a 4 wheeler, that is valued at 7,000.00. Due to hard times, we had no choice but to accept their 1,000.00 that they gave for it. We were due to get it out on the 26th of December, however, due to a snow/ice storm, we were unable to make it. My husband actually got in an accident heading there, and called. Charlotte was the nastiest person we have ever dealt with in customer service, and told him "too bad, we are here, so you should be too." My husband is very kind to people in general and tried to explain that he was trying to get there but needing his truck to pick it up, to please allow him to come as soon as they opened in the morning. The 26th was the 30th day since it had been pawned, we are talking about a mere 12 hours later that we wanted to pick it up. Jaime told him that he would try to help him, but when he went this morning, Charlotte once again showed how rude and nasty people can be and refused to help him. We tried to pay the cost over the phone last night with a credit card, asked them if my father-in-law could come pay for it, and they would not allow any options, other then my husband to make it there in person with CASH before closing last night. But due to the ditch he was in, he had no way to get there. I have since called the Harford County Sheriffs office who said they have a record, and have been called on quite a bit in the past. I spoke to Charlotte, asking for the owners name, and once again was shot down, told that they were not releasing any names. We will be taking them to court, and Channel 5 News is taking our story as well, but I want to make sure that no one allows this company to steal their property again. If hard times hit your family, PLEASE go to a place that has good customer service, and deal with a pawn shop that has a grace period. After speaking to several other Pawn shops, this Associated Pawn Brokers should be shut down based solely on poor customer service. They do not even have the title to this 4 wheeler, but I was told by the police that they will just report lost title, and be able to get one...So sad, that a business ran such as this is open in the state of MD.

Never go here!!! Worst customer service by the owner anyone could ever experience! We showed up at 9:58 in the morning and went in when they opened at 10. We got an appraisal from the owner after about an hour and a half after he looked up each item as slowly as he possibly could. Then he offered me a price that I wasnt comfortable taking at first and we left for about 20 minutes and returned. We asked him if the price still stood and he said yes, he would write us up when he finished with his current customer. We said okay. We waited for another almost 4 hours while he helped multiple customers who got there after us. His eyes were like pin darts, he was nodding off, scratching himself, and you could obviously tell he was on some sort of drugs. He had two nice young men working for him, one was 16 one was 18. Neither of them were allowed to write up pawns, yet he was allowing the 16 year old to write them for other customers. The 18 year old walked out due to the owners actions. When the owner had helped everyone else, he went in the back for quite some time, and my boyfriend, who is in the military and had patiently waited for so many hours, said something about us finally being written a slip for our pawn, an older man who hadnt been there most of the day started to yell at him and say he was out of line, the owner came out and began to yell at him and told him to have a good day. He wasted our whole day and acted as if we were in the wrong. Do not go here. You will not be pleased.

Well at first I thought that these people were very kind and understanding. I was out of town for work and called them to inform them that I had the money to retrieve my item from their shop, but would be a few days late due to having to work out of state for a week. The women on the phone told me that this was not a problem and said she would even give me one day extra then what I had needed. Once I was back in town I drove straight to the shop to pay for my flat screen tv. After waiting in line for 25min I was informed that the computer did say that I was granted an extention and that I even had one day still left to make my payment, but that they had sold my tv already. I asked why they sold my tv if I still had over 24hours before my time was up, and the man told me that they are not obligated to honor any extention that they tell you that they will provide you with, and that basically making $ off my tv was more important then upholding their promise to me. He then went on to tell me he had other tv's similar to mine that he would sell me for a "lower then sticker price" if I wanted to buy one. I have never had a worse experience in any pawn shop ever. Good customer service is the key foundation to any good business and these people do not honor their word, and only care about lining their own pockets. I will never do business with them again and would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

Upon entry of this place, I waited over 15 minutes before anyone working here would even look my way. They werent busy at all. Once they spoke to me, they never made eye contact. Which to me, is a dead giveaway for a shiesty individual. I stepped up to the counter to show the item I wanted to pawn. As the woman behind the counter began to work at the computer, I asked how the pawn works. I was ignored. I have only been to this tiny establishment once before, to look at items for sale. This time, I wanted to see what kind of money my own item may bring. The item was a new and never worn(Limited Edition watch). What I asked for the item was already hundreds below what I originally paid for it. When my asking price was refused with, "We cant get any where near what youre asking for it", I began to package it back into the original box. Before I left the counter, her demeanor worsened, as if upset that I would not allow myself to be ripped off. No harm, no foul. I received more than what I was asking for my item on eBay. So much for ever trying to work with this establishment again.

Ed and Charlotte are good people who unfortunately have to deal with a lot of difficult people on a daily basis. Associated Pawn is a great place to not only pawn and sell electronics but you can also buy some awesome stuff there too! I wish it was bigger so we we could see more of the inventory! The whole staff is knowledgeable and courteous and if they dont know they answer they find out for you. Associated Pawn is also a great place to find some stunning jewelry. Looking to sell Gold? They offer the fairest price in town direct from the Kitaco Gold Index. That means if the price goes up then you get more money. Now I know what youre thinking, this sounds like an advertisement well thats because I work in advertising and media. I just think a good company and great people deserve positive reviews! Dont believe all the negative ones. Go check them out yourselves! Its also a great place to find gifts around the holidays!
