When it came to deciding what we were looking for in purchasing our engagement and wedding bands, we wanted something different than the run-of-the-mill chain-store jewelers which abound in every strip mall. Lancaster being out of the mainstream with such a thriving and vibrant downtown, we headed there to see what the city offered. What we found was, pun-intended, a true gem! We entered Ream and were instantly impressed by the quiet civility of the store and genuine friendliness of the staff, especially "Jo." Originally established in the 1930s, it was an genteel (but never stuffy) old-world haven from the crowded streets outside, with no pressure to make hasty decisions on such a substantial purchase. Jo was, in a nutshell, amazing - she explained in great detail the often Byzantine intricacies of the diamond world; showed us numerous stones under high-power magnification so we could see what differentiated the superior from the inferior; and helped us choose bands which were unique, to our tastes, and within our budget. Over the course of the coming weeks, she stayed in contact, continuing to work with us and genuinely committed to our satisfaction, even on an emotional level. As a result, when it came time to pick up our respective bands, we were delighted with the results. The Only True Full Service jeweler in Lancaster county. Do not be fooled by the other "jewelers" in the area. I research extensively before making big purchases or investments and thru doing so found that ONLY Reams offers all the services a jeweler should and perform those services the right way. I had a family stone I needed to be appraised before moving to buying a setting. I did my homework via websites and calling stores and Reams is the ONLY establishment prepared to do appraisals everyday. others have "certain days" the an appraiser will be there and one store (that shall remain nameless) sends the stone or right away to get appraised (HUGE NO NO) A proper appraisal should be done all in front of you and your ring or stone should be shown to you so you can see all the identifying marks. This is so you can identify YOUR stone and be sure it was not swapped. Reams did everything EXACTLY how a True and Professional jeweler should. Once my stone was appraised (all in front of me) and I was shown my diamonds one identifying mark I chose me beautiful setting which i even had some custom work done on. I could sing Reams praises all day and not even touch on the other skills, options and helpful information available to you there. If you want a jeweler go to reams. If you want a salesperson at a stone and ring broker then you have lots of options.

Discovered Ream when I was looking for a place to repair a Michael Kors watch and based on the positive experience, made a mental note to check them out when I was ready to shop for an engagement ring. Fast forward a year, and after visiting several jewelers both in and outside Lancaster county, I decided to go with Ream based on the helpful, non-pushy customer service and the beautiful selection of mounting designs and diamond cuts. I couldnt find the exact mounting and diamond combination I was looking for so Ream found me a beautiful Victorian cut diamond from a dealer and helped me design a gorgeous mounting, combining features of several other designs. If youve ever shopped for an engagement ring you know it can be a stressful process (especially when going custom) but Angeliz and Amy helped me navigate the process with frequent and timely communication (such an underrated skill these days) and my fiancee absolutely LOVES the ring. We recommended Ream to a family member who subsequently bought an engagement ring from them last week and well be purchasing our wedding rings from them in the near future. 5 stars!

Amy at Ream Jewelers is absolutely the best. When my husband was looking at engagement rings 3 years ago, he had narrowed it down to Ream and another big name family jeweler in Lancaster. In the end, it was an easy choice for him to go with Ream because of the care and attention and responsiveness from Amy. Since then, Ive had several issues with my ring (some of my own doing and some not) and every single time - without fail - Amy was there to make sure my ring was not only going to be fixed properly, but that I was also happy with how I was treated and felt confident and comfortable in their services. If you are going to make such a major financial and emotional investment on an item that requires regular, lifelong maintenance, its not enough to choose the jeweler you trust; you also have to go with the PERSON youre absolutely confident will take care of you. Amy is just as responsive and attentive today as she was 3 years ago when my husband purchased the ring from her and I know shell continue to take care of us... and my ring!

How have I never heard of Ream Jewelers before!? Their customer service is unbeatable and they blow all the major realtors out of the water! After shopping around 6 different places; NO ONE matched the hospitality and devotion of their staff. They are family first and business second. After sharing their own personal engagement stories I felt right at home with a group that empathized my situation. Even with my ridiculous time crunch of 2 weeks, they surprised me a week early with a beautiful engagement ring! 2 weeks! No other jeweler even came close to the professionalism of Reams! You arent getting the typical hard sale like most any other jeweler will give you. They made me feel special with the attentiveness and care they provided. Amy and the staff are a fantastic embodiment of what Ream represents! Thank you so much for making this a true one-of-a-kind experience! I will forever only go back to Ream Jewelers!

Ordered a custom engagement ring. The design team did a fabulous job on designing it through CAD and then following through to the finished product. Very friendly service that does not push sales tactics and ideas down your throat. Did I get the best value for my money? Possibly yes or possibly not. What matters is the perceived value and I believe I was treated well and am very satisfied with the final product. Excellent customer service and product. Custom ring was described to the employees and the CAD drawings finished a little over a week later. After ordering the custom ring, it was ready for pick up just one week after the order date. I requested quotes from other jewelers who took 2-3 weeks just to create a CAD drawing that was lackluster in comparison to Ream Jewelers. The attention to detail and quality is insurmountable. Highly recommended.
