Its on the list to be closed along with ~138 other stores. Why it cant compete with Kohls, Target, etc. is a mystery to me. They have the infrastructure as a company to do it...they just must be marketing themselves the wrong way. Add to the fact that they dont carry anything that draws people to them and makes them unique. Theyre still stuck in the early 1980s and they will pass into history just like Hecht Co, Hechingers, Chess King, Thom McAn, Fashion Bug, and Circuit City.

Visited this location to purchase shoes for our little girl to wear to the father daughter dance. Selection was very limited and found nothing to her liking but received courteous service. Dont like being assaulted with all the offers to apply for and/or use store credit and the upsale tactics used by store personnel. I know what I want and dont want and dont like being pressured to do otherwise.

Unfortunately, the store is closing for good, and it will be greatly missed. The people who worked there were always friendly and helpful, and despite being a small store, the managers always maintained a good selection of merchandise.

The Easton, MD, J.C. Penny is closing at the end of July 2017, and the sales people are obviously not happy - it showed in the sarcastic tone from some of them when I asked questions. Lots of good bargins, though.
