One word HORRIBLE there was no help from associates I stood at there fish tanks for 20 minutes asking the 3 people around me and they had headphones in and were ignoring me finally when someone asked if I needed help it wasnt one of the 3 people working in the department it was someone from another department then I had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to show up then when she tryed to help she had to call another person another 15 minute wait only to find out that they could not sell me any fish because the tap on the bag fill nozzle was broken then when I went to pay for the things I was going to buy there were only 2 cash registers open with each one having 10+ people with full baskets open and there were at least 3 cashiers standing and talking at a register with its light off who were telling people that they were on break and to go to another person on top of all that the store was dirty associates were not in uniform no vests on dirty clothes headphones in and if not the music was playing out loud and they were cussing and telling to one another this Wal-Mart in my eyes is one of the worst and should be shut down this store has strayed to far from San Walton vision and the walmart one best way

Ive lived near this Walmart for 26 years and avoid it as much as possible due to the incompetence of store employees. Today was no exception. Trying to leave for the camping trip early morning I had forgotten to buy Citronella candles. How hard could it be just to run into Walmart grab some candles and come back out? Went to the camp and apartment and Pick 4 candles which would have splayed at $3.88 apiece. Cashier rolling them up as $5.88 apiece. Since the register was right next to the candles I pointed over and showed him what that display price was. He walked over slit some other candles in the place and told me that the ones I had had been placed incorrectly. I totally did not matter that when I pull them off the shelf they were at $3.88. Tell me if I had a problem with one of my money back I had to go to the service department you get a refund. Of course even though service department supposed to be open at 7 no one was there. Couldnt wait around so I left you got me again one more time Hampton. Anyone shops here is much a fool as I was.

Great as a Walmart, but the staff is generally super unhelpful, and despite the place being open 24/7 most stuff closes inside. I once attempted to pay from the app around 3 am (I work at a theme park, these things happen.) And the employees had no idea what to do and were rude. One even said to me "theres s**t you dont do at night sweetie." Like okay. But its the only 24 hour one in my area and its close to my house so ima still go. Theyre selection is fine, the rating is honestly just because of the staff, although there is this one cute girl who works there thats super great. Dont know her name though.

Literally my only regret about moving from Virginia to Hampton is how horrible this Walmart is. Ive never gone in this Walmart and had a good experience. The associates are friendly which is the only positive about this store. What really stumps me though is that the Walmart Market, five minutes away, is always amazing. I work close and go there multiple times a week. Always fully stocked, always super clean, usually short lines or no lines. Great store. Big Walmart needs to take notes.

The workers act like they own the place but it has all the things a Walmart should.thats what saves it from 1 star. They new employees. They answer phone rude IF THEY EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE and then possibly tell you to come in because they didnt feel like looking to see if an item seen on the website is actually there or not. I love e Walmart but those place aint my favorite one first sure. So.e good workers. But not many. Electronically dept is the best. So I go there.

Their registers are always backed up and some of the cashiers have 3 inch long nails which prevents them from being able to work quickly or efficiently, not to mention its disgusting. Why the management let them get away with their appearance is beyond me. Pretty sure that isnt allowed but what do I know. Its the closest store to our house but its worth the extra time to go elsewhere. Dont go after dark.

Due to the renovations of this store I would recommend shoppers to visit this store early in the morning or visiting the nearby neighborhood marketplace. My recent visit was very unpleasant. The store was a mess and shoppers along with myself were beyond frustrated. However the staff were very friendly and helpful with locating items for customers, but they were very out numbered.

Good prices, some items of good quality and some are not. Lately, you cant go into the Hampton Walmart without someone other than an employee asking customers for money. Either a homeless person or a non profit organization in front of the store or a beggar inside the store or a company such as Verizon soliciting your business while you shop. You cant shop in peace.

Out of stock on lots of stuff, ac must b broke cause there r hundreds of people with sweat dripping off them in line. Lines so long cant even walk through the front, lines into the clothing and no one seems to care since all they keep anouncing is all associates to the front to pick up returns...how bout all associates to the front to help the customers

I am very pleased with the addition of self-checkout kiosks. The self-checkout kiosk area seems to be much much quicker than the traditional employees at the register. The store has been reorganized appears clean and is easier to get in and out quicker. This specific location very much needed the upgrade it got!

Sometimes overcrowded and hectic. I only shop her for convenience if Im already in Hampton I believe the best Walmart is the newer location on Virginia Beach Boulevard. But every Walmart has its ups and downs. You cant beat some prices but theres always the long wait and 0 to no help with customer service.

Very easy and quick. Now I have the walmart app and prompt people there in walmart.. Im in store, then they will come and get my items I ordered online.. Love this new way of doing the pickup now.. THANK YOU WALMART, FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS !! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

My experience at Walmart was very poor. This experience was actually over the phone. I am a college student wanting to know if they had a desk bookshelf in stock that was on walmarts website. They lady that helped me, Rosalyn, gave me poor service and was very rude and I considerate.

This is the one I should at most and everyone is very nice and helpful. The one thing I DONT like is they put in an area of self check out registers (4-6), on the grocery side thus taking jobs away from people. Customer service is so much more personal than scanners.

Eh, its a Walmart. Though this one has always been a bit run downstairs and they are now renovations underway so expect a mess. Oh and the employees will lie to you and send you to another isle then hide away. So there is that. "Great service"
