I do a decent amount of my grocery shopping here. They happen to carry several items I cannot find elsewhere and are cheaper for several other organic items we use. However, I really HATE shopping there. Outside of groceries I refuse to go over to the other side of the store to shop. I hate the store so much that I would rather get in my car and drive to Target to get any other items. Honestly, if I could find all my shopping items elsewhere, I would never set foot in the store. There are NEVER enough registers open - NEVER. I primarily shop during the day during the week to avoid the madness of the weekend, but there are still never enough lanes open. I have my two boys 4 and 1 with me, and usually have half a cart of groceries. Too many to go though the 20 or less lines. And every regular line is typically 3 or more carts deep with people with carts brimming over. I could count on one hand the number of times I have been there and the lines have been less than 3 deep. 3 deep isnt so bad in other stores, but when you are talking brimming over carts... it takes FOREVER to get through those lines. With two little ones, I cannot sit there through a line. So, EVERY time I shop there I feel forced to go to the self check out - which I HATE. And of course, there are always 8 of those open. With a half cart of groceries (over 20) and my two boys with me, it is never easy or fun. I HATE self checkout. But it is easier than standing in line for a half hour while three people check out. Let me just say that I never feel Walmart is a pleasant experience and I always leave feeling annoyed or frustrated. Besides there never being enough registers open, you can never find someone on the floor to help you. Every time I need help I have to travel around half the dang store to find an associate to help me. I can tell you with all honesty that I cannot wait until Aldis goes in. I will not set foot in Walmart except in an emergency.

I have had a long standing love / hate relationship with Walmart. I love some of the prices on certain items such as groceries , household items, etc. I have found that the great value food items were pretty good compared to name brands and less expensive too. The bakery has some very tasty desserts and breads which I try to buy as early in the day as possible so that I know they are fresh but, even with that there are exceptions because some of the discounted things that are about to expire are still pretty good! However , these are some of the things I hate about Walmart in no particular order. I absolutely hate the parking lot. If you do not get there early enough in the day or the week , you are putting your life in jeopardy because there are a lot of inconsiderate selfish people who will either run you over or hit your car if they feel you are in their way. Also I agree with many people that the lines are ridiculous . I also know it is because businesses do not want to pay their associates anymore than they have to so they will open as little of the registers as possible !This occurs even during peak periods. And one other thing ,when they have a popular food item on sale, they seem to run out very quickly so a lot of us miss out on that item when we shop for our groceries and this makes our stomachs very unhappy .

Ok... has to be said. In SOMD fashion Yall are stupid. This store is fine. I go to this store for groceries, games, some clothes, sports equipment, ammo, and much more. to the idiot saying they dont sell ammo I just got a box of .45 ACP and this is one of the last wal-marts selling ammo and guns. and to the people bitchin about them beeing sold out. I went to buy lamp oil for the hurricane and I watched a fool walk around with too many to count loaves of bread. a cart of water and 3 propane cookers.....are you kidding me. and dont forget theres a whole Naval base that buys up retarded amounts of stock. Be mad about the ignorance around you not the people dealing with it. I havent had a problem with this store. I have purchased a mountain bike from their site, and site to store had it there before christmas. Anyhow...[Vented]. I prommise you i dont work there or know anybody there. Customers are my problem in this store...

It seems like all the things I like to buy are out of stock or whomever is ordering the items isnt ordering them. I like pastries and muffins and use to buy the Walmart brand muffins in a box. It seems like they might stock them once a month. I use to buy coconut covered doughnut holes. I bought them twice a week and then suddenly they stopped getting them. They used to carry my favorite body wash them one week they stopped getting them. It seems as if Walmart isnt concerned about getting items that sell. Theyre only concerned with getting the newest items on the shelves and to hell with the things that are actually selling well. Also the self check out machines are slower than molasses in December. Or theyre simply not working correctly.

Great place for locals because its the only place around but visiting from San Diego I wont suggest it. One day I had to go pick up medicine and transfer it from my pharmacy to theirs and Wal-Mart rejected it because it came from a Rite-Aid pharmacy. It took two hours for them to call back my pharmacy and get them to transfer it again. Two days after that I came again to pick up a item that had to be shipped from another store. When I went to the counter no one was their and two employees passed me and didnt ask me if I needed the help. Finally when someone did come he said some misplaced it. Their whole drop off area was so disorganized that technically everything was misplaced. Dont suggested shopping here.

I see that nothing has changed as far as the opinion of their customer service since 08. Seriously; the majority of the cashiers are very rude with over half not even acknowledging you! The only reason why I shop here is because of the low prices; if Food Lion, McKays, Shoppers, Giant or BJs could get their prices as low as theirs, this Walmart could kiss our patronage goodbye! Something really needs to be done with who the managers hire but Im guessing that its just the overall attitude of ALL employees in the area; other businesses are full with just as rude employees. I would really like to see just a change in management, overall; maybe that will solve the problem as well!

I absolutely hated shopping there! I will never go there again. Some of the associates there are as nice as can be some just dont like life, but the management team is something else especially the store manger. John Canady is the biggest a** I have ever met!!! He is self centered and only cares about himself and no one else. I have been told he treats the associates like dirt (Not some since hes having an affair with one of them) but thats none of my business, karma will work its way around. To everyone thats going to shop there you are better off going to target the products are treated better when they come off the truck and there are not as many mice.
