This Walmart Supercenter off of U.S. Highway 17 in Gloucester is not the best Walmart Ive ever been to - but it comes in second or third, and thats pretty darn good! I will say this - the people who work at this Walmart are the most helpful of any Ive ever run into - by far. In particular, Clifford, the young man who works in electronics, is an outstanding sales associate and seemingly never fails to help patrons find the appropriate product for their needs. He outfitted me with an "unlocked" no-contract cell phone and helped me to get it up and functioning. Clifford is a real gem! Speaking of gems, I was very pleased to make a jewelry purchase from this Walmart recently. The lady at the jewelry counter really knew her stuff and expertly guided me to choose a genuine cultured pearl necklace as a birthday gift for a lady friend. I received the kind of attentive service that one comes to expect at higher end department stores. It was a delight to have someone at Walmart provide such knowledgeable and deft advice. This Walmart has a very good food store that gets a lot of traffic through its produce, frozen foods, bakery, and meat cases. Overall, their selection of foodstuffs is very good. But, if you like something that they have available that day - you had better stock up because it might not be there on your next visit. I have one complaint which is about their bread. It seems most of the various breads are delivered frozen and then thaw out on the shelves. I see evidence of moisture in the plastic bags of bread all the time. Sure enough, these loaves do not taste fresh and go "stale" after just one or two days. I sure wish they could find a way to deliver good, fresh bread to Gloucester on a regular basis.

Ive had nothing but prompt and helpful service in the electronics dept. One employee there, a young lady named Sara, has been exceptionally helpful on several occasions. Unable to find the correct ink cartridge for my printer, I was asking an employee when the next shipment was expected, and Sara, overhearing our conversation, said she would check in the stock area. She immediately left the floor and went into the back. She returned moments later with the cartridge I needed. On another occasion she cheerfully checked my old cellphone, determined that its speaker was dead, and sold me a replacement. Were I the manager of her dept., or of the store itself, I would see that Sara is given a hefty pay increase if not a promotion.

Walmart supercenter is a place where you can go and get what ever you need when you need it 24/7 i cant say the service if good becouse ever time i am there it not that good but hey some one might have a better day for the service but ever thing alse is good there you can eat in a lot of the of the walmarts and get your pic deveap or get pic print out or get you pic taking at picture me portriatit studios that is a really great place

Same walmart every where you go. From fl. to north. They do have a lot of inventory though. I noticed they have cut back on their stock of goods, which is good for other food markets. All in all I must say," I need my walmart fix" ...yes I am aditiced but please bring back the music, I miss it as I go merrily along through the isles of walmart magic bliss???? Although crowded at most times, this walmart is always stocked to the fullest and never lets me and my fiance down when it comes to grocery shopping or a run of the mill shopping trip just to see if they have anything interesting. Best place to shop for anything you need in your home in gloucester for sure.

I mean its wal Mart everyone knows what you get from wal mart. I just dont understand having 20 registers and five cashiers. Is this to save money? I thought the experience was to have speedy friendly service. You may get the friendly part, Just maybe. Speedy? Not so much

I love this walmart! Being from a small town, our walmart doesnt have much to offer.. well this one does. All the employees I came in contact with were very nice! plus the selection is great. I recommend if you are in the area

Crazy busy today around noon. Got what we needed & got out. I was looking at some fabric but no one around to cut. Need a buzzer or bell on the cutting table so we can get service in the fabric area. Always a problem!

Great offerings at low prices. My only complaint is the slow-yet-steady trend of annoyingly oblivious shoppers clogging up the aisles and taking years to make a selection. Online grocery options could be a great boon.

I can usually find everything I need in Walmart. The only place in the store I wont recommend is the auto service center. It is not very organized and is a very long wait for anything you need done.

This Walmart has a better selection than most in the area and customer service is normally excellent. Employees will gladly show you the location of most items and check prices for you.

Dont go on the first of the month unless you do not have anything else to do. Most the time its a great place to go to you can find everything you want and you can get in and out.

Beats Kilmarnock Walmart any day. I like the set up and the employees are usually very helpful. Also the deli is Great! There is a subway and a nail salon inside as well

They dont take care of their aisles and argue when u pick items up that are mispriced... refused to give you the advertised price. Never experienced this before

Shelves stocked well. One issue is... if your a smoker the only place to buy cigarettes is the express line which limits your purchase to 15 items
