So yesterday was a pretty outstanding day, and though I really shouldnt be spending the money on a new investment, I decided today was the day before I loose anymore of the season! Ive been researching Bike Shops in the area and after having a nightmare experience with both cost and quality (customer service was great but that was it) Crofton Bike Doctor, I wasnt about to have that experience ever again. So my research began... I quickly came across many around the area, but then I had to narrow it to selection of bikes I am in the hunt for, as not all carry both the low-middle-and high end. The search led me to two locations, one which is an overpriced Specialized dealer, and Princeton Sports! I laughed because Ive driven by here ever time I take my identical twins to their doctor one block up the road. The moment I walked in, instantly greeted with a warm smile and asked if there was anything I was looking for (big store, large selection =overwhelmed at first), so I very much welcomed the navigation. I told her I am in the hunt a a trail/all mountain-ish MTB. She said I got the right person, of course hes the bike technician and building a gorgeous carbon Specialized StumpJumper. Now Ive been riding for years, Road Bikes that is, I have had only one full intense training week and ski mountain downhill riding in Park City Utah, so I know how to ride quite well but otherwise its all a new language and features are all new dynamics. He spent at least an hour going through the bikes with me, never at all pushy or leaving me into a pricier model, which I did for myself not because of anyone else. He honestly asked as a starting point, whats you price range, because other than the luckiest sale on earth, it limits the selection. All in all due to my extremely tall height, I required a size "Small" lol, so we checked it all out on the dealer and made the magic happen. He was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely kind. Felt as if I knew him for years, and would love to hit the mud with him. Then I had the final enjoyment, after paying (closing the eyes), with the manager and he helped answer all of my warranty related questions and then outlined the store family mentality. Its apparent once I walked in and I have to say, these folks really impressed me! When its time to get my next road or triathlon bike if I switch, I know where I am going! You Folks Rock! Cant wait to pick it up my bike in a week or so and revise this post with some fresh pictures and then in the mud! Ps: Oh and they Have a Military Discount unlike so many others these days, as a wounded veteran, I appreciate that!

My family of four had a ski vacation planned for Presidents day weekend at Wisp. My wife and I both went skiing a grand total of 2 times each and not in 20+ years. It was our kids first time. We had no idea what we needed. Princeton set us up with rental equipment that would have cost almost twice as much if we got it at Wisp area rental shops. It was really nice to get to Wisp and be ready to go skiing. We unloaded the van at the house, bought the weekend lift ticket and were skiing immediately. Everything fit very well and we had no equipment issues at all. James assisted us with fitting and reserving the equipment. He was very helpful and a lot of fun to work with. Gave us great advice on what to expect. He even tried to cheer up my daughter who was not having a great day. When my son and I came in to pick up the equipment I talked to James about the weather forecast for the weekend. That was the weekend that our area dropped down to single digits. Wisp was even colder experiencing -29 wind chill on Sunday Feb 15th. I told him I was really concerned about us being warm. He gave some great advice on how to dress and pointed us to some underwear and head wear that was an absolute vacation saver for us. My wife did not even get cold and that was something I thought was impossible. The -29 wind chill day the cold was just starting to seep through a little bit but with the way James set us up we were still able to ski pretty comfortably all day. The slopes were definitely not crowded that day. Princeton really took care of us. That was great for a bunch of beginners. The weekend would not have been so awesome if they hadnt taken care of us the way they did. Im thinking we will do it again next year. Thanks Princeton Sports The Haslup Family

Yesterday I had a "sizing" session with Mike Stone for my Giant Defy 1 (barely broken in at 1000 or so miles since I bought it there in July) and I have to say it wildly exceeded my expectations. He took measurement after measurement, explained the anatomy and the way it should interact with the structure of the bike, and was patient enough to make the most minute changes and remeasure with each new iteration. On a test ride afterward I felt like I was getting more better performance out of the machine (person + bike) and Im going to drag my son in to get him sized, even though he bought his bike from another shop. This really was a level of service that went above and beyond what I have found at other stores, and its the kind of thing that will keep me coming back. When I was looking for a new road bike I went to several shops, and the experience I had at Princeton (with a shout-out to James, who worked with me to select my Giant over about five visits and 15 test rides) was really much more satisfying than what I found at other bike stores in the area. Many thanks to you folks for taking such good care of me.

Ive been to several bikes shops in the Baltimore/DC area, as well as all over the tri-state area, and Princeton is by far the best. In particular, the service that they provide is of the highest quality and they stand by their work. The chief mechanic, Chris, is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and GOOD at what he does: fix bikes! He wont stop until you are happy and your bike is working perfectly! Also, Mike Stone, the head bike fitter, is the extremely patient, intelligent, and diligent about his bike fits. I have worked with several bike fitters over the years, and "Stoney" is the best there is. He will make sure that you are riding the right bike, in the correct size, and fitted properly! And he will work with you (no matter how long it takes) until you are 100% satisfied. No other bike fitter does this. In addition to the incredible service at Princeton Sports, all of the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They will answer any and all of your product questions, and will search for the answers if they dont know them right away. That is what I call integrity!

I was in need of last minute snowboard channel screws, as the snowboard I bought did not come with them. After doing a quick search on places that offer snowboard parts, I found Princeton Sports nearby my workplace. After calling the store and confirming that they did indeed have the parts I was looking for, I decided to stop by on my way home from work. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted with warm smiles and welcomes as I was helped by a young lady whom I had talked on the phone with prior. She got me exactly what I needed very quickly, as I had expected to stay longer than I had. To my surprise, as I was preparing to purchase the screws, the gentleman at the register (whom I believe was the manager) put the screws into a bag and said "Enjoy". I was speechless that I had just walked in and received a product that had been a hassle to search for, for free. Ill definitely be coming back again to purchase my snowboarding gear! I highly recommend Princeton Sports for their superb experience and service.
