This place is RAD! I heard that there was this new-ish shop near my work, so I stopped by on my way home. I was shocked to see how big the shop was, and stoked that it was still a local company. I just needed a couple of small things to for a cyclocross build before the Charm City Cross. They really helped me out getting the few bits I needed(housing, crimps, BB, tires, etc.) and spent a lot of time looking up parts & advising me, even though they knew I was doing the build on the cheap so didnt want to spend much. And, when I left they were like, "See you at the race!" and I was like, "Yeah, sure . . ." (thinking: probably not) BUT--a couple of the guys actually did recognize me at he race. Even helped me out a bit-- got my number on straight, gave me a few energy gummies, and afterward congratulated me for finishing and not throwing up after my first race. Pretty cool. None of the aloof-elitist-tude that all to often typifies some bike-shop-denizens. Right on.

I just bought a bike from here after checking out Light St Cycles and Joes Bike Shop in Fells. Its easily the most impressive store of the three with a large selection and clean layout, plus their regional network of stores for an even greater selection of bikes (different colors, etc) that can be sent to the store for free. And the staff here is customer-service oriented, very helpful and patient. One employee spent almost an hour with me talking through what I would need in a bike and figuring out what best matched that for the price range I was shooting for. He was also very knowledgeable about the bikes and how the models differed, which helped in my selection. Id definitely recommend this place to others. To be fair to the other two shops, they were also friendly and helpful, I just thought that Race Pace had a larger staff, which meant that if I ever needed to go to the shop, they would have a quicker turnaround time on repairs/tune-ups.

Ive bought bikes in six states now and this is easily the best shop to which I have ever been. Employees were friendly, patient, knowledgable, helpful, thorough, down to earth, and totally went the extra mile in terms of giving advice without pressure or upsell. Selection was terrific and prices plenty fair. Antonio was my salesperson and he was amazing (even installed my new car rack and showed me some tricks for speed and ease). Al did some installation and customization, Laura helped me with my trade for my old bike, Ben and the other guys were also helpful and funny. Race Pace Key Hwy has all of my bike business going forward. They just do it all right. Oh, and they nail branding and loyalty with a free pint glass, free rewards program, and free year of tune-ups with purchase of a new bike. Businesses: take a lesson from Race Pace, this is how you make and keep customers.

A great bike shop with an excellent, knowledgable staff who are friendly and patient. Plus the bike mechanics are top notch. Even though originally I did not purchase my bike here, I brought it in for service and after a few issues, they had everything dialed in and it rides silky smooth now. Its great to have a mechanic that knows me, my bike and is trustworthy. I also bought a bike (a Trek Mystic) here for my 5 year old daughter who absolutely loves it. Its the perfect size for her and they even helped her pick out the right helmet and got the seat at the right height so shes comfortable and can enjoy it. I would without question, recommend Race Pace to any fan of cycling whether you are a beginner, intermediate or full on pro.

I was doing some research on where to go to get new tires on my bike, mainly in the Baltimore County area where I live. However, many of the bike shops in Lutherville-Timonium area had a lot of bad reviews about the attitudes of employees doing part work on your bike if you didnt buy your bike from them. Then I came across reviews for Race Pace, which had great reviews and decided to take my bike down to Fed Hill instead of staying near where I live. Service was great, employees were super helpful and knowledgeable. I got new tires for my bike put on within half an hour, no hassle. Glad I decided to go a little further and patronize this business. A+

Im new to Bmore and have been window shopping for a few days, trying to find a new bike to replace my stolen one. I usually hate going into bike shops because Im pretty ignorant about bikes. Also, I hate pretentious bike store employees that get their jollies every time I ask a question. This place was not your archetypal bike store. The staff was patient, friendly and very knowledgeable. The selection was huge (so much more than any other store Id been in, in the city) and I wasnt once belittled for my lack of industry knowledge. Also, I love my new bike! This will be my go-to place from here on out.

The kind of top-notch bicycle shop that Baltimore has been lacking. Huge selection, experienced mechanics and experienced staff. Looks like someone below is upset that the shop didnt fix her rusty Huffy but as someone whos had to drive outside the city for years to find this kind of place, Race Pace is a welcome addition to the city for me. My free time is limited and Id rather spend it riding or with my family. When I go to Race Pace I get the right product with no regrets later. Ive also never had to make a second trip back to the shop for repairs. Always done right the first time.

Hands down the largest and best bike store I have been to. Race Pace (Federal Hill) has the largest selection of bikes especially in Trek that I have seen. The sales people /technicians are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the products. Best overall experience than the main competitors in Baltimore County and Harford County (where I live). Race Pace is def worth the drive if you are looking for quality staff and products. Went yesterday I bought a 2013 Trek DS 8.2 from Race Pace and place was packed and there were no issues of service.

I have been searching around town in attempts to find the perfect bike for a gift. I called before hand and made an appointment with sales person Danny. From the moment I walked in, I knew I chose the right place. Great selection and wonderful staff. Danny took his time to walk me through great bicycle options until I came to the right decision for myself. I am so happy that I found this wonderful location ! You will not be disappointed in your experience! Thank you so much Race Pace Bicycles!

I know nothing about bikes. I bought a bike for my 10 yr old autistic son here. THEY ARE AMAZING. The manager spoke to him, not me!! He listened to my son. Ive gone to other bike shops in Richmond, VA, where my children live, but I will always buy from here. The service is the best. I havent been on a bike for over 20 yrs, now I will buy one. Just loved the service so much, why not go back and buy a bike with an amazing experience!! Dont go anywhere else.
