I had been having habitual flats on my rear wheel. After getting the run around from another local shop, I brought my bike here and Im so glad I did. As soon as I came in, a mechanic greeted me and took a look at my problem. He fixed me up on the spot so I could get back out there. Turns out there was a deeper problem than just a pinch flat (rim strip needed to be replaced). The mechanic apologized for not checking that the first time (I had been in a hurry) and fixed the problem right away. He also comped me for the tube that had blown as a result. To me, this means they stand behind their work. While there, he showed me why I was having problems with my rear wheel and made an appointment to get it worked on. That way he could patch me up and get me back out there in the mean time and wouldnt be wasting time with my bike just sitting in the back of the shop. They promised they would work on it today, well to my surprise they FINISHED it today! Great job, quick turn around, friendly, helpful, courteous. I cant say enough good things about these folks. This will be my new local bike shop. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely the best shop in the greater Harrisburg area. The attention detail that these guys put into their work is absolutely astounding. Sure, their prices are higher than what you can find things for online, but you have to remember, this place is a small business, not an over-sized on-line conglomerate. Also, I saw that another reviewer said about having to wait a while for their bicycle to be worked on, well sure, thats going to happen when you walk into a bicycle shop in the dead center of the summer busy season. If you call ahead and schedule an appointment, the longest youll be without your bike is 2 or 3 days, its only common sense. Theres a reason Pedal Pushers has been around for over 40 years, and theres a reason that their store is still packed to the gills with customers day after day, these guys are the best without a doubt. Youre never going to be thrown a ridiculous sales pitch, they arent going to try and sell you something you dont need, and theyre willing to bend over backwards to help you out. Its basically a no-brainer.

So so, just-average-maybe a little worse LBS. not a big bike scene here so what can u expect. All prices are MSRP or higher. not a very big selection. Have to special order almost everything. Hardly ever any used stuff. Staff still doesnt remember me (I stand out in a crowd). Theres really no point in going here unless they have the exact bike you want. I now buy everything online for 50-75% less. Would not recommend this shop to someone just getting into biking, they have a habit of picking a bike out for you and trying to get you out the door asap. I went in for my one free tune up and they wanted to charge me labor! The guy working then decided to have a long strange conversation with me that involved him saying I would "last a while in a concentration camp." WTF is that!!!

Its been a long time since I purchased a bike. At the recommendation of friends, I went to check it out. It turned out to be a great experience! The first time I stopped by, I wanted to see their selection. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable. He explained the pros and cons of various bikes. The next visit, I took some bikes for a test ride. A different person took care of me this time and he too provided expert advice. I selected the bike I wanted and came back the next day to pick it up. That day I was helped by a third person who was very helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me pick out accessories and even put them on. Overall great experience. Great staff. This is how shopping should be!

This is the first bike shop Ive ever visited. My hand-me-down Giant had not had the tires changed since my dad bought it in the late 80s so it was time. I didnt know what to expect going in as I dont know much about bikes, just that I needed new tires. The associate that came out and took a look at it was honest and knowledgable. Understanding I didnt want to do a total overhaul on it, he never pressured me into paying for any extra work on the bike, just what I needed to get it back on the road. I have not shopped around but prices seemed very reasonable as well. If I need anything else for my bike I will definitely be going back to this place.

I was in a pinch and needed some bike shoes for a trip I was starting in a couple of days. I forgot my own shoes so I needed something quick. I stopped in here, not sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised!! In the short time I was there, I was taken care of quickly and more importantly, got exactly what I needed. I wish I could remember the guys name who helped me with the shoes. Even as busy as they were at the time, he was as calm as could be, very polite and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend and if I lived here, I would go here for all my biking needs!! :-)

Im a longtime customer and I like to work with Ted. I crashed a few weeks ago and Ted told me that the bike was toast because the frame was bent. He helped me select a replacement, installed some accessories and adjusted the seat position. Great! No matter if youre a recreational or serious cyclist, you need a pro shop to assist you get the right bike for your body and riding style. Also, you need someone to go to when your bike needs something beyond a simple repair. In the Harrisburg region, Pedal Pusher is the place to go, period, end of story.

Visited this LBS on 3/12/2013 for the first time looking for a small replacement part on a bike model which is no longer in production. We were helped by Jim, a very knowledgeable and friendly worker who answered all of our question. They helped us distinguish between cheap/good/best quality on parts and bikes, install our replacement bike part, and it never felt like a sales pitch. They told us frankly they are not the least expensive but they focus on quality and service. I am convinced and will be returning for my cycling needs. Top notch place.

The folks there are pretty genuine and really like bikes, I like that! Very friendly and really like to help out, not your typical bike store trying to up sell you at every moment. I went in to get advice on a chain, Ian checked it an it looked good, I asked about how I can get my bike to climb better on these steep PA hillsides, he recommended a larger Cassette, he even let me borrow the tool trusting I would bring it back, thats pretty cool, I dont think thats usual, but they definitely go that extra mile and treat you right.

I bought an off-the-rack cruiser recently and needed the chain tightened. I wanted it done before an impromptu trip to the beach, but doubted any shop would be able to get to it in time. I took it to Pedal Pushers and they fixed the chain in about 15 minutes and only charged $5. Now Im ready for some boardwalk riding! My partner also took his 12 year old bike to Pedal Pushers for a tune-up recently, and the friendly staff did a great job with it. Highly recommended!!!
